If you want the full Iguaçu Falls experience, you should splurge and stay, at least for a few nights, at the Belmond. It is the only hotel inside the national park, which means you have access to the falls before other tourists are allowed in. The Brazilian trail (very easy) is right by the entrance and gets you a unique view of the river and the various falls, all the way to the famous Devil's Throat. You will see many animals on the property, like a friendly but hungry family of coatis. The hotel is definitely old school, with a "Shining" vibe, but it's comfortable, with many amenities, including two restaurants and a bar. The staff is also old school which means they have impeccable service. You can have many activities organized by the concierge. I recommend booking a tour of the Argentinian side with a guide, which takes 5-6 hours and lets you go around and above the falls on several jungle trails (very easy and accessible).

The breakfast is a gigantic buffet, which means you have a lot of choices, but asides from the omelet station, dishes (bacon, scrambled eggs, etc.) are often cold.

Before booking for our stay I was having doubts because of all the “BAD REVIEW”!!! But I’m glad I made a choice to experience it myself and WOW everything seems rather the opposite from what I though it will be. We had a junior suite room with a balcony over looking the garden and another one right infront of main road, yes! we don’t see the falls from the balcony as our room located right at the corner but THE SUNSET WAS AMAZING! The falls is just right infront of the hotel, the first things you see when you arrived at the hotel. We had dinner at ITAIPU Restaurant, food was superb! Portion wise, it is smaller than a normal Brazilian serving but it was perfect for us since we want to try more food on the menu. Had lunch at the Pool Area, simple food but very tasty. (It’s a hotel in a world heritage side of cos you wouldn’t expect it to be cheap but the quality is good) Breakfast was Perfect for us too. They even served Prosecco 🍾🥂 on the drinks sections. I’m not sure WHY is all the bad comments but I observed most of them are actually from the outsource Tour where a lunch ticket was include in their package. If you read through all the bad comments are mostly regarding poor food/too expensive/small room. the size of the room are indicated in the booking section. So you already knew what you are getting. TRAVEL TIPS! - Book on a SUNDAY or MONDAY. Because the Park is closed to Public on Monday so you have the falls to yourself :D I mean hotel guests :D - Check in earlier before the check in time and visit the falls while waiting for your room to get ready. - Chill at the Pool After you check out. (This way you find it worth it to pay for the stay) HOPE THIS REVIEW HELPS if your still in doubts. we have no problem communicating with the staff since all of them speak English.

I think this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. First of all, the hotel itself and the rooms are very nice. The staff is very professional and responsible. We traveled with an infant and we were provided with everything we needed for a comfortable stay: baby cosmetics, bath tub, baby towel and of course a crib. The view of the waterfalls from the hotel is incredible. The breakfast exceeded all our expectations. I can say that the hotel is definitely worth its money. We will definitely come back again.

I would suggest that the cost of park tickets should still be included in the price of the accommodation. We were a little surprised when we saw the extra cost of admission on the receipt

We LOVED staying here. The hotel is beautiful - amazing architecture, lovely design and elegant gardens, and so well maintained. The food is great and the room very comfortable. The staff was very professional and friendly - we usually don't stay in such high-end hotels but the whole place was so friendly and relaxed. In addition to being a great hotel, it also offers the best way to experience the Falls. Brazilian side has all the views, and here you can see the falls directly from the terrace of the hotel. Moreover, since you are staying directly in the national park, you are free to explore the falls outside of opening hours. We took a guided tour of the falls at 7.30am, ending just before the first crowds arrived, and it was a magical experience - especially after going through the stunning but incredibly crowded Argentinian side the day earlier. The hotel is worth it for this alone!

The Belmond is beautiful! The hotel is right in the Brazilian National Park for Iguazu Falls so you have the walking trails and views of the falls all to yourself after the national park closes and before it opens, which is priceless! The hotel employees are amazing! They are very attentive, hospitable, and focused on service. They anticipate every need before you even can and are very friendly and welcoming. The Itaipu restaurant was one of the best meals of our life! The breakfast buffet was also extensive and delicious, including made to order omelets and eggs benedict! All in all, this is the most wonderful hotel I have ever stayed in and I hope to return in the future :)

Everything was perfect! Honestly I don't have a single complaint. Well done, Belmond!

The hotel was amazing and has a beautiful Portuguese colonial architecture style. it's inside the Iguaçu Falls national Park, with rooms that can have a view of the falls from your window. The food is good, location to visit the Iguacu falls is the best.

I liked everything. keep in mind though it's in the Park so it's quite a distance from anything else. for visiting the falls on the Brazil side it's the best location but for any other site-seeing it's far away... not really a complaint, just be aware.

Everything- ease of check in and ability to continue to use facilities on check out. Staff were super helpful. Fabulous location and the access to the park after hours is such an advantage. Plentiful breakfast- accommodated my husbands gf needs. Loved it, highly recommend if you can splash out - once in a lifetime opportunity for us as on honeymoon. Pool is always heated. Fabulous cocktails - our favourite was the Toucan.

They can charge what they'd like considering lack of competition, which is a pity. Some flies around the food (in the rainforest tbf!) maybe they need some deterrent over the food spaces. Bus leaves the hotel every 30mins to the entrance gate- more frequently would be more convenient.

Beautiful heritage hotel right in the national park. The rooms, restaurants and bar were excellent. Really enjoyed getting up early and having all the viewing spots of the falls to ourselves before the park gates opened. The hotel also booked all the activities we wanted to do, including transfers to and from the airport. The day trip with driver to the Argentinian side was terrific - slipped through customs really quickly and had all the info on entry and how to make the most of the experience.

All great

Great hotel located in the heart of the national park. Easy access to a grandiose view of the famous Iguazu Falls! Very stylish interior - tiles, flowers, carved furniture, snow-white bed ... Great service! The reception staff is very welcome and helpful, friendly cleaning and restaurant staff. Polite, responsive, friendly! Special respect to the waiter Heng! In addition to his helpfulness and charm, he also spoke to us in our native language! We are delighted! Hearing native speech on another continent is very, very nice! Easy couple of more stars to the hotel! The food is excellent too. Great variety - both in the morning and in the evening! And every day something new! And everything is very tasty. By staying in this hotel we got the most pleasant and enthusiastic impressions. Thank you very much! Already from another continent we want to come back here again)
