The Staff were fantastic and helpful, from all reception to kitchen to the excellent smiling tall Gateman and server ‘Forte’ to Erica on reception. The superb breakfast choice and happy breakfast team were brilliant each morning . The Omelettes they made were delicious ! The swimming pool and characterful/ historic hotel was a great choice , and essential if you are to enjoy the carnival or a peaceful holiday in town , due to it being at the centre of everything ! PS Great ‘Forte’ Caiprinhas too!

The only thing I could think of improving was reducing the gaps in bedroom windows and openings with screens to keep mosquitoes out . Also a wider choice evening meals, although there are some good restaurants nearby,

This is a charming and characterful hotel in an old building right in the centre of the old town. The reception staff were particularly helpful in making recommendations of places to eat and arranging transport. The rooms are around the attractive mature garden, mine was small and without a view but I was there at a weekend and appreciated the distance from the street noise outside. A good breakfast is provided overlooking the garden.

My room was overdue for a makeover

Lovely, large pousada in about as central location in Olinda as you can ask for. Bars, restaurants and festivities literally on the doorstep. It's an official camarote during carnival so don't expect much peace and quiet then! Vanessa on the front desk couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome right from arrival. Also assisted in organising a reasonable all-day taxi for a daytrip to Porto Galinhas. The food on site was decent, we had both breakfast and dinners there on occasion. Good caipirinhas too. The veranda is a lovely place to take in the evening before heading out.

Night & kitchen staff were a little less helpful and communicative than during the day, no issues however

Staff were amazing. My partner forgot his passport and money in a small bag. We got to the airport and called the hotel and arranged Uber driver to pick it up. The lady at reception wrapped it so nice so it looked like a real parcel and not a single cent was missing. We can’t thank her enough.

Absolutely nothing, beautiful character hotel and staff

The beautiful building, the decoration, and the location. Perfect place to explore Olinda as Toni’s in the center of where everything happens. The breakfast is super delicious with all the typical plates and a lot of fruits. Staff very friendly.

The bedroom was a bit small as well as the bathroom. Next time I would take a bigger room.

Rooms could be improved with mosquito prevention , as some room windows have no netting over windows, or openings allow any insects in.

Lovely and helpful staff, convenient restaurant with quality food, gorgeous patio that was a delight to sit on in the evenings. Wonderful ambiance that really gives the flavor of Olinda. A++

This did not affect me, but the hotel has lots of stairs. People who need disability access or have trouble with many stairs may have difficulty here.

Great breakfast. Beautiful hotel, with lots of plants and tables/chairs in the common area. Localization is very good, next to bars and restaurants, and walking distance to a couple of tourist spots.

No complaints. If I have another opportunity, maybe I would chose a bigger room.

Location and friendly staff. My husband and I got there a little late in na night, Erica received us really well with an amazing a welcome drink. It was a drink with guava juice and cachaça. She accommodate us and gave a recommendation of a place to have dinner. On the following day we had breakfast at the property. Really delicious made with love. I really enjoyed this night we has there. I wish we had more time to enjoy Olinda and the Pousada dos Quatro Cantos. I highly recommend it ;)

Nothing about the property, but just be aware that if some people start to tell you all the history about Olinda, its building and so on. After the tour, they will ask you for money! So before anyone start to engage in a conversation with somebody sure you are not going to be charged.

A quaint old building right in the historic part of Olinda. Walk out, turn left and it's all right there! The room was lovely, the pool, the breakfast. We stayed an extra night. We appreciated the motorbike parking. Oh, and there were monkeys!
