The motel was conveniently located close to town and the museum which made daily adventures easy and fun. The room itself (although not 2 bedrooms as advertised) accommodated our family of 5 really comfortably. The beds were comfortable, the floors and bathroom were clean. There was air conditioning which was an absolute luxury in the 35 degree heat during our vacation. The kitchenette and full fridge were adequate for some basic meals which saved us hundreds in eating out. I would definitely stay there again.

We read reviews about bedbugs prior to arrival that scared us. Couch bed did not have bedding, had to wake up the guy in the middle of the night to request bedding. I didn't like the fragrance in the sheets, although it was pretty subtle. Lamp didn't work in living room. Had to request remote control for TV.

This hotel is a throwback to when mom and pop hotels were the standard place to stay for most travelers. It s still a clean and quiet place to stay. Location is great if you are going to the Royal Terrell dinosaur museum as it is right on the road there. Breakfast isn't included, but the on-site restaurant was wonderful and very reasonably priced. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Nothing. Everything was fine.

When I checked in, the person on the desk knew my story, from the details of the booking, and had considered this in choice of room. He also let me know that I was in that particular room because I had my dog with me (details of the booking), and it was easy access to walking trails for me and my dog!! Above and beyond, I think. He also recommended a restaurant, since theirs was closed for the season. The room was clean, and had clearly been "updated", but could use more work. For my needs, it was just fine. I had a good, comfortable sleep. If it had been summer, I could have sat outside on the step, where there is a table and two chairs. Nice touches.

Brilliant location! Friendly staff! Yes the outside is not the best looking but once inside the rooms are amazing! Has everything you need in a room! To be fair this is our 8th hotel/motel since landing in Vancouver and this by far beats all the other places! The restaurant attached in the morning was very very busy and I can tell why! The food is amazing.

The outside looks a little run down but please don't let that put you off!

Very friendly staff who are happy to accommodate you like providing a kettle although all rooms have a mini fridge and microwave. Excellent location, near everything and 5 min from the Tyrell Museum. Comfortable beds, pillows, great towels, tasty complimentary coffee in the room and very hot water and nice shampoo. Quiet, slept like a baby. Yes it is an older place but they do their best to make it cozy. I believe renovations are being done in some of the rooms. It is a standard motel where you park in front of your room. There's a gas station on the corner you can walk to for convenience items. Highly recommend the breakfast at their log cabin style restaurant (see image) open 7-2 pm. We'd return if visiting again. Picnic table under trees in an open area behind the motel. Great Chinese food at the Sizzling Kitchen nearby.

I had a short surgery at the Drumheller hospital. Badlands Motel is literally right beside the hospital. Very convenient for day surgeries. It was very clean, quiet and the beds comfortable. There is a restaurant onsite open for breakfast/lunch with good food. Also, we couldn't figure out the TV & motel staff came to our room and showed us how to use the two remotes.

It is an old & dated place, which wasn't something we "didn't like". I only mention it because if you are looking for luxury this is probably not the place for you. For us, it was about convenience, which it provided. The fact it was very clean, quiet and comfortable made up for the aged and dated rooms.

The rooms were just what we expected for a budget motel, very basic. There were a few cosmetic issues but nothing that impacted our stay in anyway. Everything was visibly clean, but we had wipes and wiped down all of the high touch areas. The beds were very comfy. And the very generous size bar fridge was a great addition. The motel was quiet and we felt very safe. The on-site restaurant was amazing and was extremely busy with locals (which is always a good thing!). We travelled with a dog and there were no issues whatsoever, very pet friendly (offering us a dog blanket for our pooch. Remember, this isn’t the Hilton, it’s a motel, adjust your expectations and you won’t be disappointed.

The room was very clean and nicely updated with newer carpets and laminate flooring. The kitchenette was fully supplied and the room was spacious. The table and chairs on the patio were a nice touch!

The beds were a bit creaky and not the most comfortable, but they were ok. There was an air conditioner and a fan, but both were quite loud (although they did work). My biggest frustration was that the bathtub plug did not work so I couldn’t give my toddler a bath.

The price was good, the staff was very very nice. This is a BASIC clean Motel. Location is perfect for anyone going to visit the Royal Tyrell Museum as it is located on the same road. We booked the Badlands Motel because it was the best priced accommodation for the date we wanted. We were going to attend a play at the Rosebud Theatre. The breakfast offered in the Motel Restaurant is wonderful and guests get 10% off.

The price, location, staff, breakfast.
