Alpenglow is a true gem! Our home away from home for 4 nights. Fabulous breakfasts with Dutch flair. Bed was great and we loved the Euro style duvets. Room was cozy and comfortable and quiet. House is well built with remarkable wood furniture and millwork throughout. Ski hill is ~2min drive away. Heated ski storage available. Hubby and others skied but being 30 weeks pregnant, I opted out. When not out and about, I really appreciated having the comfy common spaces in the house, especially the den - woodstove crackling with feet up and hot chocolate in hand! Our room itself was a nice retreat as well if wanting alone time. This was our first B&B experience and we really enjoyed Anja and Theo's company, as well as the company of other guests. Will certainly stay again!!

Nothing - everything exceeded expectations

The hosts were amazing, so warm and welcoming. The house and rooms were true German/Austrian beauty... it felt as if we were vacationing in Europe...Breakfast... OMG... DEEEELICIOUSSSSS.. super close to everything - ski hill, golf course, downtown. The Old Bauernhaus - restaurant across the street - is a must if you want to eat authentic German food.

The matress in our room ended up a bit too hard for my liking but this didnt hold me back from having a great sleep. The top floor room is a bit dark in the evening even with all the lights on - but it makes for a cozy/romantic feel. If you want the top floor rooms which are amazing rooms, watch your head if you are tall, as its slanted ceilings.

Anja and Theo are excellent hosts. The B&B is in a nice location close to golf and skiing with easy access to downtown and the main highway. The rooms and common areas are very clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were all excellent and flexible. Homemade breads and jams top it off! They are always aware of food allergies and intolerances as well as preferences. The rooms are quiet and very functional. We had a private bathroom and that was very nice. Easy parking. The hosts are very attentive and communicative and offer lots of insights and recommendations for touring. There were outside amenities which we did not use such as loungers and a hot tub (not sure if used during our period of stay) This accommodation is highly recommended!

There was not much not to like. The Alpenglow delivered on its commitments and pressed all the right buttons for a great stay. There is no air conditioning but nights are cool which allowed for expected comfort. We were not at B&B during the day.

Breakfast was truly outstanding. I have a lot of tricky dietary restrictions and these were all kindly (and deliciously!!) accommodated. We had an extremely restful sleep on the ultra-comfortable mattress. Our hosts were very welcoming. It felt like visiting family! The atmosphere was warm and interesting, everything was carefully thought of, from tea options, cozy robes and makeup remover pads.

Nothing could have made our stay better - it truly exceeded our expectations and delivered fantastic value. We would absolutely stay here again and will recommend friends visiting the area to do so as well.

Beautiful building. Spacious room. The privacy of a hotel room with the comfort of home. Onya and Theo are amazing hosts. Gracious and accommodating to our needs and requests.

the ONLY thing we wish was different was the bed. The mattress was not as firm as we would have liked. Admittedly, we are hard to please on this front as we both have bad backs. Otherwise EVERYTHING about the room was beyond expectations!

The breakfast was delicious and homemade daily and the hosts are very very friendly.

We were a little disappointed that there were no top sheets only a duvet with a down quilt which was very nice but too hot because there was no air-conditioning or fan. The shower temperature was up-and-down and not controllable, they should have a temperature control water system for the shower. All of the negatives were far outweighed by the positives by the fact that the owners were very nice and very friendly and very good hosts.

We loved our stay in Kimberley, even though it was very cold. The house was charming and rustic, yet comfortable.Very nice hosts and great location close to everything. The breakfasts were fantastic with fresh homemade bread and jams.

Wished the bathroom was a bit larger with a bathtub. The towels had some mystery stains on them and smelled musty, prefer white towels for this reason

Breakfast was exceptional! Don’t eat like that at home! Well balanced with items made at home. Accommodations excellent. It’s the little things that count in my opinion. They were all there - anything you might need that you forgot at home! Very pleasant people.

Anja and Theo were super friendly and accommodating. Breakfasts were amazing and delicious! Loved the room and overall feel of the B&B. Would love to come back sometime!

There are a few flights of stairs to climb to the top floor suites but its great exercise for those who like to workout or need too! 😁👍

Anja and Theo were excellent hosts! Their chalet was situated minutes away from the ski lifts. Anja makes an awesome breakfast. Both Anja and Theo are very easy to converse with and are very accommodating to their guests. I would highly recommend staying with them at their clean, comfortable, and tastefully done chalet.
