Our Bathroom was not good - under repair - did not use bathtub of shower! Someone tried to dust but did a poor job - needed dusting badly. As it was downstairs, we had no coffee easily assessable - good Nespresso upstairs! The reservation was made in my name - Roberta Comment below states my husband's name, he was not involved in setting it up or writing these comments!

Loved the breakfast, everything we tried we loved. Fresh orange juice, home made berry biscuits, and I couldn’t get enough of the eggs Benedict. The owners were lovely and so accommodating, even chatting with us to give us sight seeing suggestions. The outdoor patio was a great place to drink our morning coffee, we even had our breakfast out there one day when it was warm out.

Everything was great, This is a very old building that the owners took so much pride in. The renovations kept the history of the home but still upgraded things appropriately. Only complaint we had was that it was quite warm at night so not having air conditioning wasn’t great.

Elegantly furnished, holding true to the history of the building. I loved that it was in a quiet area, no traffic, just the harbor sounds. The breakfast was amazing, room amenities were lovely and it was very clean. The beds have fuzzy fleece blankets which I prefer to duvets. We were thrilled with our stay, and will recommend to our Yukon friends as a nice Vancouver Island hideaway.

The property is a few blocks from the Sidney shopping area, but that's barely a dislike, because I liked the quiet.

The ambience is excellent in a historic building which has been carefully maintained. Breakfasts are very good as is the hospitality generally. The location is convenient for Sidney, ferries, and airport.

We would abandon plastic flowers and improve the heating and WiFi connectivity. It would be nice to have breakfast earlier than 0800.

We knew ‘The Latch’ several years ago for it’s amazing dinners. We just had the opportunity to stay there again as it is now a B&B. The current owners (they bought in 2020) have transformed this place into a jewel, keeping all the original charm. Breakfast is included and was an amazing 5* experience! Lovely location overlooking a marina. We’ll be back! 😊👍

There was nothing we didn’t like…Even had a small fridge in the room & robes for guests.

The breakfast was excellent. The owners were lovely and very helpful. The setting is fabulous. The homemade cookies a wonderful touch especially when arriving late in the evening!

The walls are a bit thin so can sometimes hear noise from neighboring rooms but not unexpected in a heritage building. Which, by the way, has been superbly and lovingly refurbished. In no way did it diminish our enjoyment of our stay.

After exploring Butchart Gardens nearby, my wife and I stayed in the Library Suite at the Latch Inn. It is a lovely BNB on the harbor. The bed was very good and the breakfast excellent. Wish we would have stayed a few days. Michael is a terrific host!

Old standing tub had a broken drain control. Old sink constantly dripped water. There was onlly one restaurant to walk to called Sea Glass, which was excellent. Other restaurants are a 5-10 minute drive away in Sidney.

The Latch Inn was like staying on a very smaller scale at the Dutton Ranch.amazing The Latch Inn is made from logs as is an amazing building. It sits next to the marina with views incredible. The breakfast was delicious with runny benny eggs.

Were the pizzas we ordered for dinner hand stretched? I think it was a huge stretch of the imagination!

The food was excellent and the staff incredibly attentive and very professional. The happy hour brought people together and enhanced our enjoyment of the Latch Inn.

Information about the beaches close by. The bird sanctuary only a block away was a hidden gem we found by chance on a walk.

We loved our stay at The Latch, the story, the architecture and history of this home is incredible. David was a super host, very welcoming, knowledgeable about the history of this wonderful heritage home. Amazing what they have accomplished to restore this home. The breakfast was outstanding. Please treat yourselves to a stay at The Latch. We will be back!
