I booked a cabin here as a last minute booking while road tripping and realizing that I was done driving for the day and needed somewhere to lay my head for the night. The distance from town was a little daunting, but I wanted something quiet and comfortable. I am so glad I went ahead and booked, because the scenic, dirt road drive here was absolutely stunning, with even a bear to pop out of the woods and greet me at the last km mark! The owner was ready and waiting to show me to my cabin upon arrival and I couldn't have been more pleased. She had built up a tidy fire in the woodstove and it was a warm welcome after a long day driving. I had my own private cabin on a beautiful piece of land with plenty of green, treed space around it. The cabin itself was clean, immaculate and lovely, with all sorts of artistic touches to make it feel like home. It had a full, well stocked kitchen for cooking, a super comfy bed, and a cute little dining nook. I honestly wish I'd had a few days to spend here to soak up the beautiful surroundings and the absolute quiet. Yes, it's a long way from town (bring groceries with you!) and yes it has an outbuilding/outhouse for a toilet, but it was worth the drive, and the outhouse was the cleanest, nicest one I've ever seen! I would definitely recommend this place for a quiet getaway in nature and I already have to a few friends!

The property is in a very nice location, close to the river, but sitting outside, you can still hear the traffic noise. The house is big, definitely bigger than what we needed for 2 people, but very comfortable and we really appreciated that we were able to request a meal, in advance, after a long day of driving.

There were several little shampoos, conditioners and toothpaste in the bathroom, but no shower gel. Which is of course the only thing I did not bring.

The cabin is amazing. So comfortable, clean and accessorized. The owner was so nice and upgraded us to the bigger cabin. The place is just amazing and we will be happy to visit there again.

The outhouse, while is very clean and comfortable and amazing for an outhouse, is a bit uncomfortable to use at night due to its distance and the darkness of the woods and us not knowing what kind of wildlife is out there (the multiple bear sprays near the door suggested we shouldn't go out there alone at night).

We were in a fully equipped cabin with 2 rooms, kitchen and living space and an amazing wrap around deck. Walked through the trees and the meadows for birds and views over the river. Went to Kitwanga / Ksan (Hazletons) and watched the fishermen at Witset netting fish in the Moricetown Canyon. So many incredible experience to be had from LDR.

Okay ... older adults should book the 3 bedroom cabin with the flush toilet! Fortunately we had thought ahead and brought a camping toilet to reduce visits to the outhouse in the dark!

Second time at LDR. Stayed in the Dutch Treat, smaller than the big lodge that we stayed in last time, but just as spectacular. Love this place! The property, lodges, owners, they're all fantastic! Very comfy beds and bedding, great shower. And they're building a beautiful sauna for the cabin.

LDR was the accommodation of my life. The cabin and property are spectacular! My kids and dogs had the freedom to run and play outside on the expansive ranch. Beautiful views of the mountains and river that run along the property. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and relaxing.

We were warmly welcomed by Tammo. The cabins are beautifully crafted, better than the pictures. It was very well equipped, especially the kitchen. The beds are huge and comfortable. We would have liked to longer.

The WiFi is stronger nearer the cabin entrance. There is some road noise but not enough to affect enjoyment of this lovely place.

The cabin is spatious, well equipped and nicely decorated (amazing paintings). The view is breathtaking. It is very clean and comfortable.

We can hear the highway, the train and property equpment . A bit of noise pollution when sitting on balcony.

Inside of the cabin is absolutely well maintained and gives a relaxing vibe! Walking distance to the river.

Cabin 1 wifi is very weak, but we ended up watching old movie DVD😆and had a relaxing night without the internet! Hopefully the owner can put some tea bags and instant coffee in the kitchen.

This place is fantastic. We needed somewhere to sty in Smithers, but everyone was sold out. Oh My word am I glad for that! This place was an absolute Gem. We booked it on booking.com and headed out there. We showed up, were greeted by a lovely lady, Tamo. We had booked the place only an hour or two before we arrived, from the side of the road. She was just returning to the office after setting up our cabin. When we arrived, a coworker and I, She apologized for only making up the one large bed, and lighting the fire, as she had assumed when the reservation was for two it was a romantic getaway. Lol. Reasonable assumption. She sent us towards our cabin, as she gathered the makings for another bed. We got to the cabin only moments before she arrived, to unlock the door. She Unlocked the outer door, leading to the small mud room, and allowed us to enter first. I believe to see our reactions upon opening the interior door. I'm sure she wasn't disappointed Gorgeous cabin. Gorgeous bedrooms. Gorgeous property. Immaculately clean. Comfortable beds. Lovely kitchen. All the kitchen wear needed. Nice outhouse. Yes, it has a detached outhouse. Well Advertised in the ad... Probably 40 or 50 feet from the cabin door. Electric lights, cold water to wash, and a pit toilet. Some may not appreciate this, however, it was well kept and well advertised.

Virtually nothing at all. Unfortunate the Wifi was only at and/or near the office. Some wouldn't like the detached Pit toilet outhouse.....
