Travelodge by Wyndham Winnipeg East

We booked a double queen bed room which was spacious. The Coffee Maker and the Iron Box worked fine. I was happy there was a small refrigerator and microwave. The room service was excellent and the bathroom maintained clean. The front desk is friendly and helpful. Overall, a very comfortable stay giving most value. The location is close to the Waterfront, Canadian Mint, Museums, and the Zoo. Also, it is easy to get to U of Manitoba IG stadium to watch a Bombers game.

Pool rules can be better enforced so all the guests can enjoy, ex. using proper attire, avoid jumping into the pool, respecting the numbers in the hot tub. Also, the property is older and the carpets etc are aged. There is also no elevator. But I am willing to overlook those.

The room that was booked for us, the A/C was not working. We were moved to an upgraded room at no additional costs to us and it was comfortable, quiet and clean. So thankful to the staff who went over and above to meet our needs.

It was located in an older, run-down part of the city, but we had no issues while we were there. It would be nice if there were elevators for those located on the second floor as suitcases can be heavy to get up the stairs. However, when leaving, a nice gentleman who worked there in maintenance helped me with my bags down the stairs - thank you!

The room with one Queen bed was bigger than I expected . It had a separate sink , counter , vanity in the main room and a newly renovated and appointed bathroom. This would be convenient if entertaining . The bed and bedding was very comfortable. I didn't use the pool but it's nice to have it in the hotel.

I booked through Booking .com . I like the convience and the comparison facter but I think when not booking directly with the hotel , the hotel booking registration put you in a room that's the furthest away from the lobby as possible. This has happend to me twice in the past two weeks.

Absolutely friendly staff. Easy check in and check out. Nice warm swimming pool. Continental breakfast. Location was great with nearby restaurants, gas station and Superstore. Plenty parking space. Very happy with the size of our room with a pool view from our suite. Bedroom and living room have separate TV with cable. Clean bathroom.

There were bread crumbs on the sheets when we opened the sofa bed. The staff was quick to provide fresh linens though. Our king bed felt like sinking in the middle but the firmness overall was just fine.

very clean and well kept building. the breakfast in the morning was great with lots to chose from. had a poolside room which was nice.

I booked a poolside room for swimming. although the pool is great it is not an accessible pool and has a ladder to get on and out even in the shallow end. unfortunately I was unable to even use the pool because of this issue. very disappointed. also not sure about when the pool closes for the night but people were outside on the pool patio until 2am and then in the morning people in the pool by 7:30ish.

Quick check in, friendly staff. We had a double queen room, two queens, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, fridge, efficient bathroom with necessary amenities including hair dryer. Enough hangers, ironing board, complimentary wifi, TV, cable, table, 3 chairs, clock and decent lighting. Beds were soft, 3 large pillows each bed. Continental breakfast included, boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels, bread (toast), cream cheese, jams, cereal, coffee, waffles and juices, nicely laid out basic but filling. Great location, beer store next door, Freshco and Sals also nearby. Across the street is Superstore and more shopping a short drive away.

Stayed a second time in July, upper level room, 203 which faces Fermor so a bit of road noise but not a problem. The bar smokers that congregate outside made more noise than the traffic. The roof was being redone so when we arrived the room had a bit of a tar smell but diminished over time. The hotel warned us and could have changed rooms but we stayed and overall not a problem. The roof work has to be done sometime. My wife thought the room needed a little work, some water stains on the ceiling (probably why they were working on the roof) and the sitting chairs could have used a cleaning.

check in check out perfect. room was excellent and smelled fresh. bedding looked and smelled fresh. i found the pillowbed somewhat soft but my wife loved it. room a bit small but very clean. floor was laminate or ?. much better than carpet i think for keeping clean. nice assortment of soap, shampoo etc. had door access to pool which was a bonus.

room temp could not be brought down even with the a/c on all night. just too warm. reception staff efficient and seemed to know their jobs well. well mannered and polite but not particularly chatty/friendly. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and warm as was the staff lady in the breakfast room. the breakfast room is open till 1030 am on weekdays but staff was taking away the breakfast goods prior to 1030. A couple came in approx 1020 and didnt see a lot to eat.. However the breakfast lady came to their aid and supplied their request for a basic breakfast. i feel in the hospitality business you must stick to your hours . Basically 1030 you can clean up but assume the last eaters are going to be there 15 minuts or so after closing.

I was really impressed how friendly and accommodating all the staff were with questions and needs. The pool area is just beautiful and I sent pictures to few friends and they were also impressed. The price for my seven day stay was very reasonable and I don't think I could have done any better any where else. Room was very comfortable and the beds were also. My only improvement would be quality of TV. The color was very faded on screen and we could not adjust color. In conclusion, I will look forward staying there next time I plan a trip back to Winnipeg.

The facility is good, the staff is great and very accommodating. It is very convenient for all the places we like to visit and easy to get to. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable.

The Restaurant is closed and the continental breakfast was rather bleak. This motel is getting dated, we have been staying here at least once a year (except for the last 3 years) for over 40 years. This visit while the staff is doing a great job of trying to keep thing up, the pool area requires a real facelift. The paint is peeling off the walls and overhead mechanical venting. We also had to change rooms due to the suite we had had a leak over the master bed.

The pool area has real plants making it seem tropical. Went on a Wednesday and the pool was quiet and fun. There is a kiddie pool and hot tub as well. We staid in the king suite and loved it. Clean and spacious. I will be back for more staycations for some adult time with my spouse!

Can't say anything bad about this hotel other than the inconvenience of not having an elevator. That didn't hinder our stay at all. The other thing is the continental breakfast was lacking. Bacon, eggs and or sausage would have gone a long way over toast, cereal,yogurt and bagels.
