Friendlist breakfast server I've ever met. Front desk staff was also friendly, but somewhat not-knowledgeable (recomended an asian place for dinner based SOLELY on Google that turned out to be AWFUL).

We arrived and the A/C was out of order. Front desk thought they knew what the issue was; said they would correct it immediately (they though the circuit breaker needed to be reset). Fifteen minutes later, the problem was not resolved. Went down to the front desk to personally see what the issue might be. Front desk staff said "we reset the circuit breaker". They never called us to let us know what was going on, but rather waited for another complaint from us. There was NO FOLLOW-UP. When I told them the issue remained unresloved, they gave us another room.

This was a last minute booking due to a change in travel plans. We had just driven by the hotel and liked the look of it. The room was surprisingly large. Everything was clean and inviting. Coffee maker was in the room. Lots of pillows and a comfy mattress. The bathroom was remarkably big which was a treat. Breakfast was included in the price and offered both hot and cold options. The hotel is less than a ten minute drive to the Saint John/Digby ferry pier which worked great for us.

There was road construction so entering the parking lot was a little tricky but that of course is not the fault of the hotel.

Very well appointed rooms, comfortable, and excellent full breakfast included. Great value for the price. Felt like we were at a much more expensive hotel! I have unfortunately forgotten the name of the lovely woman who presides over the breakfast room and serves up the hot foods, but she was a delight! We had no problem walking the mile or so to a restaurant by the port for dinner, but be aware that it is a hilly walk and includes crossing one busy intersection with pedestrian lights before getting to picturesque little streets.

The room was comfortable and clean. Very quiet which was great. The staff were very friendly. There was a woman who worked in the dining area...I got the impression she was in charge. Unfortunately, I'm terrible with names, so I can't tell you her name. She was going around speaking to everyone in the dining room. We had a delightful conversation with her. She is a huge asset to your business. The breakfast is lovely with a lot of variety.

The heat in the room was oppressive. It was at 24 degrees when we got there (it was mid November). In the evening I turned it down to 18 but the temperature didn't drop below 22. Too warm for sleeping comfortably. Bathroom was so-so. There was a dirty facecloth behind the hairdryer on the shelf under the sink. The hairdryer is obviously not used as it was caked in gummy dust. (I'd bring my own next time.) I had to call for toilet paper because there was only a little on the roll, and no spare roll. Not enough for 3 guests.

It felt like home.. …comfortable…we ordered in pizza and wings, enjoyed the room. Lighting was great. Plenty of places to plug in for chargers. The beds were comfortable and the bedding felt crisp..nice and fresh. The larger bathroom was a nice change..two can manoeuvre around comfortably when trying to get ready. They served a hot breakfast (eggs, sausage and bacon and baked beans), cereals, fruits, yogurts, muffins. The toaster was a good one that actually toasted the bread, not just warm the bread. They also offered a juice dispenser with cranberry and orange juice, and a coffee/tea station. We enjoyed their coffee in our travel mugs when we left. :) Just to the right of the entrance to the lobby is a large memorial stone with a plaque dedicated to a church ( I believe St. Paul’s) that burned down on this site. .. just a bit of history 😀

LOCATION.. Not easy to get to…especially if you are not familiar with the area.

The Chateau is absolutely wonderful and exceeded our expectations in every way. The Front Desk staff the people in the breakfast room and everyone we met could not do enough for us. I asked if there was a kettle for my room and the man at the front desk apologized but said if I just call the front desk anytime they will have a hot carafe of water ready for me in ten minutes! Beds were wonderful, room very spacious and very clean and beautifully decorated. Ample parking and great recommendations from staff as to where to go, what to see and even provided maps and drew in the route to take to drive to places, including parking spots.

All just perfect.

We had a large, comfortable room that was clean and had nearly all of the amenities we’ve come to expect in a hotel these days. Staff was very friendly and quick to respond when I reported an issue with the Internet connection. We’ll stay here again if we’re in the area.

My biggest criticisms are consistent with most hotels: not enough lighting in the room to do much more than watch TV and not enough towel racks to allow more than one person to hang towels and facecloths to use a second day. The hotel is easy to get to if coming on the main highway, but there’s nothing within walking distance, so it’s not a place to stay if you don’t have a vehicle at your disposal.

This property is very easy to access off the main highway, and is central to some great attractions within Saint John. We were greeted by friendly staff, and a pleasantly clean and well maintained hotel and room. The hotel has “pre-order” breakfast, which you record the night before and set a time for pick up. The next morning it is ready for you at that time. Very convenient for on the go travellers.

The breakfast at this hotel was pretty basic, but overall it tasted fine. The one big negative to this hotel was poor wifi. It was included in the room rate, however we’re not able to use it for even the most basic tasks.

They upgraded our room to an amazing suite.. Wow, what a beautiful room. And it was really comfortable. The design of the hotel is beautiful. Antique Furniture . Beautiful design details. Kind hotel staff. No doubt this is one of the best hotels on our current trip to Canada.

The breakfast was less good. You have to ask in advance for what you want to eat. We asked for hard boiled eggs. In the morning they told us they don't serve it. It's so simple... they make omelets instead... we didn't have anything to eat. The employee brought us two slices of yellow cheese and a tomato. It's a shame they don't try to give healthier and better options.

The staff at the front desk were exceptional. Very friendly and took the time to help with our needs. The bed and pillows were comfortable and breakfast was very good. The staff member serving breakfast was extremely helpful as well.

The ash tray out front of the hotel should be regularly emptied to prevent the ridiculous amount of butts thrown on the ground.
