The Queen suite was lovely and spacious. It was clean and well-equipped. Free water and a French press with ground coffee. Two TVs. Our room had a huge model airplane hanging from the ceiling. We had food from the on-site Chinese take out and it was good.

The suite was dark evening after turning on all the lamps. The owner seems to be overwhelmed with running both the hotel and the restaurant. I know help Is hard to find but I hope he can become less stressed.

When I booked the room, there weren't many left in Kenora. This one was on the pricey side. I had no idea what to expect. When I got there, I was extremely surprised. The property is terraced with a dolphin fountain, all nestled in a quiet treed setting. Then my room was even more of a surprise. It was actually a living room and bedroom combo with a gabled wooden ceiling. Hanging right in the middle is a model plane! How cool is that?! The room absolutely exceeded my expectations and was one of the nicest rooms on my whole trip. And if that wasn't enough, I was greeted by two deer when I got up in the morning. Deer not guaranteed for every guest.

The room was really cold when I arrived. I turned the heat to high and it took awhile to warm up because the space is so large. The other thing that I didn't like was the lack of lighting. Overall, the rooms were rather dark.

Good Location. Suite was really comfortable, clean, unique, loved the decor. Comfy bed. We would definitely stay again.

The food at the restaurant adjoining reception. It was tasteless, as if boiled all day, so overpriced as we threw it out. Two other minor annoying things; Room was cold on entry and we arrived late due to travel we had to work out how to turn on heat. The light bulb needed replacing or lamp replacement as bulb was flickering most of the time.

Like that it’s pet friendly and located by a lake.

Travelled here before and the room had a broken toilet paper holder and a shelf hanging off the wall and no warm water which weren’t big deals but for about $100 more than other stays it was upsetting. I am Happy to return to a better stay! Only issue I saw was one hair in the shower. Otherwise quiet and comfortable. Chinese food was fresh and delicious.

Good location (facing lake). The room was large with lots of space, divided in two sections: bedroom and sitting area with couch and two TV, newly renovated and very clean.

The housekeeping is using too much air freshener, we had to keep the door open for awhile. We arrived 20 minutes before check-in time but still had to wait until 3 o’clock.

Very friendly owners & great food from the Chinese restaurant. Huge rooms & love the security cameras on the parking spots, gives you peace of mind. They give you coffee grounds and a French press (we had to Google how to use it!) but the grounds were amazing, wish we left later so we could have bought some beans.

Very strong cleaner smell when we walked in, but honestly atleast you know they did it!

Chinese food restaurant on site was great and convenient. Food was very tasty and reasonable cost. Loved that there was a kettle and a small fridge. Also liked the bathtub and the bathroom was well stocked and clean.

The chair when you first enter the room was past it's prime and in need of replacement. Would have liked a rag or cloth to use for snow and dirt by the front door. The small mat was not enough to capture the wet and dirt from winter boots even though we knocked them off as best as possible before entering room. Beds were a little squeaky. Comfortable though and the pillows were high quality and very comfortable to sleep on.

We didn't have breakfast, nor was it offered. Should it have been? The room was fairly quiet and very clean. It had everything we needed.

We weren't told that there would be no one at the check-in area for checking out, so we had to find a room cleaner to give our key to. The mattresses were on the old side--not terribly comfortable. Room was a little pricey at close to $300 which included a lot of tax.

Lovely space with plenty of room and comfortable beds. Enjoyed the french press coffee in the morning.

Rooms were not accessible as property was on a hillside but they did caution us that there were some steps to navigate. We managed and enjoyed our stay.
