Holiday Inn Express & Suites Oshawa Downtown - Toronto Area, an IHG Hotel

Great breakfast. The room was nice and big lots of room. I asked for a walk in shower and it was great. The bed was comfy and the refrigerator worked.

I asked for a ground floor room but didn’t get one… I don’t like elevators.The toilet has an issue flushing you have to flush several times …I had that same issue with previous stays at this hotel in other rooms ..it doesn’t look like this issue has been fixed not sure what that is all about. The tv brightness has to be adjusted which I did but it won’t stay adjusted the picture was too dark …had that issue the last couple of times I stayed here very few stations are available and no tv guide …the guide on the remote doesn’t work.

Comfortable room, quiet, clean. Continental breakfast the next morning was nice. Staff were lovely, welcoming and friendly. Thank you!

I’m not sure if it’s because I booked very last minute due to changing plans (~ an hour or less from arriving) but toiletries were limited. Bottled water in the room and slippers would be good. The front door could be on door close to prevent it from slamming shut. Different pillow types would accommodate for different sleepers instead of 4 of the same.

it was very close to just about everything and anything you would need. The staff was amazing, Amanda at front desk was so accommodating and even relayed that my husband and I were staying for our anniversary so when we came back to our room after a walk around we found the most sweetest bag of snacks and drinks from the entire team! so thoughtful and kind we are planning on coming back next year and will think first to book with them for any and all stays in the area

I don’t have any complaints to make as room was beautiful and clean and comfortable.

we didn’t like that the air conditioning unit was right next to one of the beds so if we left the air conditioning on overnight, it was really uncomfortable with the air blowing right on you. The breakfast was overall good but we found the sausages needed to be cooked/browned a bit more. Gluten-free options would be great as well. I had to take gluten free porridge downstairs with me in order to eat breakfast with my family.

The breakfast was fine. The food tasted as it should but there could have been a few more choices to pick from. No Danish pastries was a downer for me. The room was clean but the grout in the bathroom floor needs to be cleaned more frequently to bring it back to the colour it should be. For my liking, the tv should have been in front of the couch and not the bed!!!

It’s close to my sister when I visit

The first night was fine as was the breakfast but the 2nd night was very noisy …the room next to me the people couldn’t control their children so there was banging on the walls …yelling and screaming so I called the front desk and someone came up to address it .. things seem to quiet down after that … the 2nd days breakfast wasn’t as good.

The breakfast was excellent and the bed was very comfortable, though I would have preferred a firmer pillow. Excellent staff.

One of the big plus’s in staying in a hotel has always been that you leave in the morning & when you come back, the room is cleaned & the bed is made. During my stay, my room was cleaned the first day of my stay, but not the second. It was very disappointing walking into my room to see an unmade bed.

Newer building, modern, underground secured parking. Was quiet for a downtown core and the rooms are very spacious. Breakfast was much better than just a plain continental breakfast. Actually had eggs and sausages.

Bathroom walls were not clean and there was a handprint (Dirty) on the wall above the toilet. Water pressure in the shower was just adequate and could have been much better, although i was on the 4th floor.

We had a king bed, which not all hotels seem to offer. The AC was already on when we got in the room which was very nice. The room was perfectly clean. They had an underground free parking to safely park our packed car in. It was refreshing to sleep in this room after many days of camping/motels and a long drive. There was also a nice office chair with a desk. The bathroom was great with a shower that can easily fit two people, liquid body wash and many towels.

The parking is located behind the hotel, Google Maps doesn't know. You have to have a physical credit card to swipe for check in, not possible to use your phone to pay.

nothing we didn’t like, but I wouldn’t stay in this area if I planned to walk around because the neighbourhood isn’t very nice or safe - nice botanical garden and beautiful park a few minutes away by car !
