The Hotel is awesome! Staff is super nice! You are close to a boat rental place by the water, about 30 to 40 min walk away. My wife and I rented a boat for the day, and it was the highlight of the trip.

No taxi service for evening, hard to get to downtown Port Perry unless you want to drive. There's not much around the place, so a way to get into town would be nice. Casino food, they definitely tried, great portions and lots of like cheese and sauce and yummy stuff, but the flavors are just OK. Not bad considering it caters to the people who come to the casino the most, old people. There are only a few pizza places that deliver to the hotel too, so food is just limited.

Hard to beat this hotel for the price. It was exceptionally clean and the staff professional and courteous. There is no daily housekeeping service which I was happy with - not really needed and the front desk was always available with extra towels etc. There is no in room coffee but unlimited free coffee near the lobby. It’s located 10 min from PORT PERRY and about 45 min from Oshawa.

Limited places to gather outside of room. No coffee maker or microwave in room. Room downstairs only open until noon, so can’t be used for gathering. Only coffee and tea, no hot chocolate. Casino had limited choices for food. Not open early, nor was Tim Horton’s open early.

The staff were really accommodating and professional. Dinner was pretty good.

Dinner was expensive for what we got and it felt like we were eating in a cafeteria. Instead of coming to get us at the entrance to the restaurant the waitress pointed to our table.🤣 There was no coffee in the hotel rooms. They need to supply a small kettle and some instant tea and coffee . I like to have an herbal tea and bring my own tea bags but there was no way to heat the water.

Very clean, spacious and comfortable room. The desk staff was very helpful when I needed assistance.

I wish the breakfast room were open for tea or coffee all day, especially seeing there is no kettle or coffee maker in the rooms. There used to be Keurig machines in the lobby, but they are no longer available. There is free tea or coffee at the casino, but it would be nice to have a warm beverage when we arrived at the hotel after a long drive.

I had very much enjoyed a comfortable stay at the Great Blue Heron Hotel on the Scugog Island :) it was quiet and no issues at all. The staff were wonderful and accommodating and the room very clean. I travelled with my 2 little dogs and they too were very welcomed here. The bed was extremely comfortable! I will come back.

Security of facility was good. Staff was very responsive to a problem with our room telephone.

The lighting in the room was not good at all. It’s much to dark to read. Many of the other guests appeared to be elderly, so I assume they had problems seeing in their rooms.

The room was fantastic, staff was polite, helpful and very friendly Loved the coffee being ready before 6!

Bring back the Breakfast, the service in the casino dining room was not friendly and the soup was Broth but breakfast staff was excellent and so was the breakfast

The room was large Great pillows and a comfortable bed and a large TV and a large bathroom and a fridge

It could of had more lighting in the bathroom and a bath fan .Plus it should of had microwave.

Breakfast started too late to enjoy. Would prefer a buffet.

7:00 am breakfast start preferable. Walking outside to casino not as convenient as walking inside especially in wet or winter weather.
