The reception and restaurant staff were amazing. Meals were fantastic. Grounds were pretty. Molton Brown bath products were a nice touch. There were some wonderful places in the hotel to sit and read a book. It was a warm, inviting place to relax for a few days. Would definitely stay again, but would make sure to get a larger room next time.

We had to wait until almost 4 for housekeeping. Our bare feet learned the room was not swept or, if it was, it was done hurriedly. Our room was not the best equipped. For instance, we had to hunt down an iron. Also robes were not in the room. Maybe the iron thing was because our room was so tiny there wasn't much place to store it. I mean, it was a small room. We ended up keeping the board in the bathroom. By the way, the bathroom was as large as the sleeping quarters, and it was really nice. As for the robe thing, it wouldn't have been a big deal, except it looked like others had them. So it seemed like we just got overlooked. If that's wrong, my apologies.

What an amazing hotel! The hotel decoration in the common areas was beautiful, the room was nice and comfortable, with a great shower. The restaurant is an experience in itself: we had a great dinner (best during my 2weeks in Canada), with nice local beers and a perfect view to the nearby lake. Breakfast was above expectation: I had the best pancakes ever. And the staff was so nice and helpful, they really made an effort to help us, including arranging a ride back to the cycling trails for us and our bikes in the morning! I would definitely stay here again.

From the warm welcome and easily managed upgrade to a larger (much larger!) room everything was done well. Our request for isolation in the restaurant was accommodated graciously and effectively. The new room had the biggest terrace I've ever seen looking onto the pool and gardens and mountain. Molton Brown products in the huge bathroom are great as my favourite. The pool was perfect as was the jacuzzi, ideal after hiking. The hiking trails go right from the gardens and one can reach Petit Lac des Sables easily over or around the little mountain and it is beautiful and tranquil. Many different trails with clear signage and well maintained. The staff will give tours of the Manoir explaining its interesting history and showing some of the beautiful art and furnishings. The food is exceptional, some dishes more successful than others (rather chewy duck) but the chef has imagination and wonderful ingredients. The "ancestral tomato" containing burratina, tomato sorbet and topped with a cloud of light cram with herbs and flowers was extraordinary and the guinea fowl with morels and girolles melted in the mouth, crammed with flavour. Deserts were also delicious and original, always with several different textures as well as tastes. Our charming sommeliere provided great suggestions and the wines, mostly private importations, were excellent. As for breakfast - forget "petit" dejeuner! The last morning we split one of the best Pain Dore we've ever had with thick brioche bread, melted brie, "tatin" style apples and maple syrup. Also plenty of coffee and the days we had eggs they were done to perfection. Definitely planning a return visit!

Minor points: While every other portion at breakfast and dinner was perfect the fresh-squeezed orange juice was minuscule - maybe should have asked for more! The excellent Nespresso machine in the room was well provided with capsules but no mugs. Coffee cups were brought but needed to use 2 to accommodate the dispensed coffee. Capacious drawers were welcome, and would be even more so in winter, but although the hanging rack was just big enough (3 nights) it was too short to let mid-length dresses hang without draping on the shoe rack.

Amazing experience! The property is beautiful with lush gardens, a wonderful heated pool, and a delicious restaurant. The staff was so helpful and welcoming and provided great hiking recommendations in the area. We also enjoyed the little town with nearby bakeries and coffee shops close to the lake.

Nothing! It was an outstanding stay.

The place is a restored historic treasure, elegant, refined, and luxurious with the staff to match. The lobby and guest areas were each a theme from when the place was construct but with modern touches. Our room had rich linen, a comfy mattress, and details plentiful from the past.

There were many fireplaces but they were all gas, of course I would have preferred wood, but the law doesn't permit it!
