Holiday Inn Express Guilin City Center, an IHG Hotel

Location! Location! Location! There are hundreds of food and souvenir options within walking distance. As one who wants to spend a peaceful yet boisterous vacation with my family, I can't expect more in terms of location. Breakfast is very good, with varieties of food and drinks. It saves me time by starting a new day without worrying about breakfast. Moreover, it provides western style food and drinks where there are almost exclusively Chinese foods nearby the hotel. More likes are given to the staffs, especially the front desk, who are courteous and helpful. The room I stayed was clean and comfortable. But it is not spacious compared with other hotels of equal rates. But it works good with me.

We spent two nights in Holiday Inn Guilin. The location is very central, next to the main shopping street and to the lake with pagodas. A lot of food options nearby. Very efficient and friendly, English speaking staff, that helped us when we forgot some items in the hotel. They have shipped it to our next destination. We used travel agency in the hotel to arrange a trip to the rice terraces. Rich breakfast with many options for everybody. Comfortable and clean rooms. We are very happy with our stay

The location of the hotel is good. It is surrounded with many eating outlets and shopping outlets. It has a tour desk counter for day tour as well. Front desk staff is polite and energetic. Breakfast hall staff is polite as well. Room is clean and comfort.

Maybe the management can consider to add on one set of laundry system instead of 1 set for now. The facility needs some plants / flowers to refresh the interior environment.

Location is incredible, just exit the door and explore 100 different little places. The laundry was a life saver. Staff very helpful and kind.

A lot of carpet everywhere and due to the wet weather and low air conditioning the halls and the room gain a distinct smell that can bother some people. Carpets and wall a little dirty, could use some upkeeping.

The facilities look and feel very modern. Everything worked as expected We only stayed 2 nights and our activities were mostly outside of the city. But it is in city center and close to many restaurants and shops. The breakfast room had high ceiling, it felt spacy

Fantastic hotel in the heart of beautiful Guilin. Professional, helpful and very kind staff. Especially young English speaking lady, who check in and check out us. Many thanks. Very clean, very comfortable. Delicious breakfast. Fantastic stay for us.

I always know what to expect when staying at a holiday Inn. The front desk girl Jennie was absolutely fantastic, friendly and helpful to fulfill all our needs. We stayed on two rooms. My mother in laws room was perfect and really clean. Our room was also mostly clean especially surfaces and the bathroom was perfect. I like the colorful rooms and design.

So the breakfast was really not good. As a westerner it wasn’t easy to find something or get enough things to eat. A lot of the other food was also cold and could taste it wasn’t fresh at all. Very sad as I know it can be better. The other problem was that the carpet and backboard by the tv in our room was badly stained. Made the room feel a little dirty. See picture below.

Very good location and the staff was very helpful. They have a tour organizer right at the front desk, so it was really convenient to book trips.

The breakfast was not good. We went right after the breakfast hours started and Food was cold and many dishes not even prepared yet. Everything was of cheap quality and the coffee tasted really burned.

I liked the room size and layout and appreciated the complimentary drinks on arrival; staff were nice, they helped me book a Li River cruise ticket at a reasonable price (much cheaper than the price the taxi driver quoted). Breakfast was fine with enough options to satisfy. Location is good as it's right by several attractions.

The staff was very friendly, service was great. Rooms were spacious and clean. It was extremely convenient as the hotel is near Food Street and Twin Tower. Highly recommended to stay here if you are visiting gui lin.
