We really enjoyed our stay! The location was superb, a walking distance to The Bund and metro station. The beds were super comfy, firm and fresh. We slept really well during our 8 night stay. The staff was friendly and helpful although their English was so-and-so. We adjusted the temperature of the room to suit us and the enjoyed the classy style.

Amazing central hotel in Shanghai, very close to the Bund. The room was massive (junior suite) and very comfortable with amazing view to Pudong. Cleaning was also very good.

The breakfast could have a bigger selection for its price (±11 usd).

Good location, approx 20 minutes walk to Nanjing Road, or one metro stop away from Nanjing Road. The metro line 10 allows easy access to the most popular attractions in Shanghai. Plenty of local and mid-range priced food options nearby, and a Lawsons on the corner of the block of the hotel. Room was very comfortable and stylish. Staff were great.

It didn't bother me as I'm hearing impaired, but you do hear the traffic from the road. The street is very narrow so it makes sense that sound would travel upwards.

Clean and newly renovated rooms. Japanese toilet seats and fog mirror. It’s close to the metro and the city center. Doorman and cleaning lady were friendly and helpful.

Rooms are way smaller than in the pictures. The beds were not made every day. There was no films on the window so when we opened the windows mosquito went in. The front desk asked us to pay ¥20 for missing a room card while most four/five star hotels don’t care… Front desk hung up the phone when my husband tried to talk in English.

The hotel is located in walking distance to the Bund and to Nanjing Road. Metro station is a 5 minute walk away. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and had a good noise isolation. In the restaurant are lunch and dinner packages available, quiet good quality and not to pricy. Breakfast was ok but you should not come later then 9.30 otherwise choice might be limited.

The hotel is not as international as i thought. Most guest have been chinese and most of the staff speaks only very basic english. if at all. There havent been any concierge therefore need to queue at reception even for ordering a taxi. The lobby was quiet small and its difficult to find a seating there.

The receptionists are very professional, nice and tender. The doorman is warm-hearted. The hotel building is with Art Deco style built in 1934, amazing location and full of the charm and atmosphere of old Shanghai everywhere inside. Modern facilities provide guests with convenience and comfort, especially the atomized glass in the bathroom. They have the online prepayment service and you can reserve for your friends & families. I made it for my parents, they love it very much and said the buffet breakfast is wonderful. Based on the actual staying experience, I will recommend this hotel to others.

I booked it for my parents' wedding anniversary, ordered it in mid-September and emailed the hotel directly for some questions in advance, there was no reply several days later, only asked for help from the platform customer service, they solved it quickly. Then received the email reply from the hotel staff in early November. By the way, a refundable deposit of 500 CNY is requested upon arrival (not has been listed on the website), you can choose paying by cash, by Alipay, or by WeChat, it will be refunded after check out through the original payment method.

Location was perfect with The Bund and People's Square all on walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast was very nice too with a varied buffet which I enjoyed every day. I also appreciate the honesty of the hotel staff as I forgot my wallet in the safety box of my hotel room after check out and the hotel properly contacted me afterwards. When I picked up my wallet everything was still inside.

Diffcult getting Wi-fi access at the beginning. Surprised that there was a lot of staff that didn't speak any English at all.

Location, was near to the metro station and the Bund for sightseeing Separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom, we enjoyed the comfortable toilet bowl

The wifi was painfully slow, no way to register as a foreigner and had to place a call to the reception to obtain the login details to connect if you do not own a Chinese mobile number Despite the room upgrade, the separate living room was difficult for us to fully utilise it

Breakfast spread was good with small changes to the spread daily. Room size was good and shower pressure was good. It was convenient to the metro and the Tiantong shopping area. Staff English was not upto par but their attitude and friendliness much more than made up for it.

2 lifts serving such a big building is too few. Sometimes we had to wait a long time for the lift. The shower area has a tendency for water to flow out but they did put some sort of stopper which only partly alleviated the problem.

The hotel was only 10-15 minutes, by taxi, from Shanghai Train station. Staff were very helpful with arranging taxis etc. We arrived earlier than expected and initially were told our rooms weren't ready, which was fine, but shortly after two clean rooms were identified and we were checked in 3 hours earlier than normal which was very kind. Although the hotel is on a busy road it was quiet.

There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel. I would definitely stay there again.
