This hotel is such good value for money given its location in central Shanghai. It is so close to the Bund and East Nanjing Street metro station and shopping area. The staff are very friendly - loved the cat! The room was larger than expected, with a mezzanine level for the bedroom. The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom and toiletries were great.

Everything was good, although the Wi-Fi is a little weak. There's not much natural light, but I imagine that's normal for old buildings in central Shanghai.

I was given an upgraded room and it was so spacious with guest room inside along with upgraded beverages. I like the room it was comfy for a transit. Location also very good, walking distance to The Bund & only one station away to Yu Garden. Location also walking distance to the station. Direction was given very clear eventhough location is quite secluded (but they wrote huge sign so it can be found easily). Front office also very helpful despite language barriers. Plus point, they have chonky cute cat at the reception that we can meet in the afternoon.

The location is quite secluded and there was construction nearby so the building kinda covered by construction fence, but not big problem since huge sign was written in front of the building. Not many shops or restaurants around, I only found one convenience store.

The room is very nice and really clean, better than we thought. The guy at the reception is so nice and kind, he can speak a very good Italian, his Italian name is Stefano, he really make you feel like home.

The cleaning ladies hasn't clean my room the first day, so I complained, and a woman at the reception told me they have no time to clean, so I was very upset. She said they can just clean at 3am, the same time I needed to get ready for my show. Then they cleaned mine, but they haven't cleaned my colleague's room.

Fish Inn Bund, is the absolute perfect location when staying in Shang hai. A 5 minute walk along the river adjacent to the hotel and you are in the midst of it all. My room was large and spacious with two air conditioners, the bed was comfortable. It is such an affordable stay, the staff are friendly and helpful and organised a taxi transfer to the airport on my behalf. My tip is to always travel with ear plugs and purchase a SIM card/ data from the phone shop as I felt Shanghai was a little difficult to get around with out it due to lack of english spoken. I would definitely stay here again and cannot recommend it enough! 10/10 in every way.

The bathroom could have been slightly more clean

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Location is very convenient. Across the bridge there’s a huge market where we bought a great suitcase for 200,-. And if you go the other side there’s a subway station and the most famous shopping street in Shanghai.

There are not that many big supermarkets apart from Ole nearby (but it’s not really the hotel’s fault. I didn’t like the bathroom doors. They didn’t close fully and it was pretty cold because of that.

Location, plenty of food places around, close to the underground. Staff friendly, and when I said I prefer to speak Chinese to practice, they spoke Chinese to me from then on.

wifi was too slow for me, but I need quite fast speeds for work, but is ok for general stuff.

The hotel is old, but stylish, like being in a Kubrick movie, but in a very good way. I like the room very much, quirky and authentic. A real unique experience. People are friendly and the hotel is located in the middle of all the top attractions. I like it very much.

They could offered a simple breakfast. But it is not really a problem, as there are plenty options in the vicinity.

Enjoyed the location of the hotel which is very near the center and underground. Water, tea, towels are provided everyday and it's always clean.

In winter it's very cold even with the air conditioner + windows are old which is the reason for the wind. I had to sleep dressed. It's the main disadvantage which made 8 instead of 10.

The location is close to the Bund in a safe area, surrounded by many local shops. The room is spacious with nice design. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

It's located in a residential area. Thus, it will be noisy at certain times of the day.

The hotel is tucked into the corner of a block next to the Huangpu river. It is extremely well-located for its price, 5 minutes from East Nanjing Road, a subway station, the Bund, and 2 minutes from a nice street full of restaurants. The room was comfortable, and the A/C worked well. The staff at the front desk was sweet and helpful. The area felt very safe.
