The river view is one of the most impresive we ever had. The hotel exceeded our expectations.

Not perfect for the metro lines connections. The breakfast need to be more diverse to let me give a 10 mark for the hotel

The location was perfect for what I wanted, right next to the Pier for the Bund Cruise and walking distance to Yu Gardens and a nice food market. The room was exceptional, the check in staff upgraded my room and it really was fantastic, great size and facilities, and beautiful view of the Bund. The Char bar also had an amazing view of the Bund.

I felt the hotel facilities were lacking for the star rating and cost. The pool area was only open 8am-8pm, which meant I was unable to use it, I would have expected an earlier opening at least. In addition, I attempted to order room service which the menu stated was available till 10pm, but when I called at 9.40pm was informed it had closed already. I also couldn't get the hairdryer to work when I was leaving at 7am and was initially told I would have to wait for housekeeping to come in at 9am, they did come up and fix the issue, but took a bit of convincing. Finally, I ordered a glass of Rose prosecco at the bar, and they gave me a regular prosecco and then stated they didn't have any Rose. All small things, and in isolation wouldn't have bothered me, but together left me frustatrated.

We liked the location, lovely views and good to walk along the Bund.

Breakfast had a reasonable but very average selection of luke warm food. Restaurant had terrific views but horrendous decor. We ate in top restaurant first night, it was very expensive for average meal, but did have fabulous views. Very few staff spoke English which coupled with being unable to use Google (in China) made things difficult. I asked for tourist information and hotel only supplied a map. On last day we found someone who spoke English who advised us to use search engine “Edge” which enabled us to explore better.

Overall, I am extremely happy with our stay at this hotel in terms of location, facilities, comfort and all. But, I must say that the customer service is incredible. The staff at the reception, at the breakfast place, at the concierge desk are warm and helpful. However, one staff has stood out exceptionally well in terms of delivering the best service. His name is Titan. I asked him for assistance to make duplicates for lock/key which I recently bought abroad. He went all the way getting them done in just a few hours. He took the trouble of traveling to 3 different locksmiths and used up his own funds for this. Truly remarkable. Thanks Indigo, Titan for this 5 -stars service. Well done!

I loved the feel of the hotel - with classical old Shanghai decor. The lobby area had art and old Chinese antiques around it; my bedroom had beautiful colorful Chinese lanterns, beautiful furniture, and a nice feel. The views were stunning - I had a view right from my bedroom and desk area (and also from my shower) of the Huangpu River and Pudong on the other side. The pool is fantastic - beautifully lit with big windows overlooking the famous Bund. The staff were very helpful, although at times there weren't enough of them at reception (during busy checkout times). They helped me books taxis to my office and generally were helpful. The location is also perfect for walking along the Bund during the day or evening, and just across the major street is a shopping center with a couple of restaurants and grocery store.

There were only two things I didn't like - firstly the gym was not great. There are 2-3 treadmills and 2-3 ellipticals, but they are old and out-of-date and difficult to really exercise enough to get your heart rate moving. In terms of weights and weight machines, they also don't have many and it is hard to get a workout there. The second thing I didn't like is that the hotel is quite popular with company dinners...especially at the bar on the top couple of floors, because it has a beautiful view of the city. Because of this, twice when I wanted to go to the bar during my stay, I was told the bar was closed for a private function. This was disappointing and I never actually got to enjoy the bar in the hotel.

Liked: My recent stay at Indigo on the Bund in Shanghai was generally satisfactory, with an okay room and an impressive view of the financial district. The 34th-floor bar provided a great ambiance, but the continuous repetition of Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas" tested our patience, though the friendly staff mitigated this inconvenience.

Disliked: Despite the generally good experience, noticeable maintenance issues, including unhinged panels in the room, raised concerns about the high price point. With some improvements, Indigo on the Bund has the potential to offer a more enjoyable and seamless stay.

Location location! Right on the river, what a view from our room! Breakfast was very good, a lot of choice and great service . Again, what a view. Easy walking in the Bund, shopping centre across the street with grocery store and several great restaurants (including Italian if you want to eat something else)

We choose the suite, and it was awesome, the room was a bit tired from a maintenance pov, but nothing that detracted from the great experience

I loved the stylish décor of my room and the comfortable bed and pillows. The hotel staff provided me with everything I needed and I was sad to leave after my stay ended. The hotel is in a good location which is only 3 minutes by walking to the Bund bridge and walking distance to the Nanjing Road which is full of shops, restaurants and street foods on both sides of the road. The view from my bedroom was that of the Bund River and it was great to watch the boats and yachts sail by.

Breakfast was ok, could’ve had more vegetarian/vegan options. Rooms were great and bed was amazing. View superb. Robot was cool.

Facilities- pool closed which was hugely disappointing as was one of the reasons for booking. Char Bar was disappointing, very loud music, empty bar, poor food choices, cocktails tasted like there was no booze in them. Furniture weird.

It's a fifth time we stayed in Shanghai and a fifth time we stayed at Indigo hotel on the Bund. Fantastic view on river and Pudong. And cozy room with Art Deco interior design . The new modern mall opposite of hotel where a lot of stores and restaurants . Pleasant clean area around the hotel. The Bund ... Never change this hotel to others for future trips in Shanghai.
