Breakfast was great; room and the rest of the hotel was absolutely beautiful. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Comfy bed. Lots of nice artwork and artifacts spread throughout.

No problem with the room or stay; the hotel is gorgeous. The main issue is that the neighborhood, La Candelaria, is basically vacant at night--which is common in many historic centers in LatAm (and Europe). During the day it's bustling with beautiful historic architecture to see, shops, cafes, etc. But at night everything closes early except around Calle 12/Carrera 2 where there's a couple places open late (e.g., El Gato Gris). I did not feel unsafe walking out at night, but others might think differently. Also, walking up the hill (Calle 10) to the hotel is brutal: long and very steep so I cannot recommend a stay here for the elderly or those with difficulty walking and a wheelchair would be impossible.

The hotel is centrally located in a great neighborhood making it very walkable to Plaza Bolívar, Museo de Oro, Museo de Botero and lots of great restaurants and bars. The decor and gardens in incorporated in the hotel were beautiful. The breakfast was great, some of the best fresh juice we had on our trip!

Being in a historic building the walls are very thin so it can be a bit noisy at times. Our room overlooked the garden so we could hear the early breakfast diners and the late night arrivals. If you’re a light sleeper I recommend bringing some ear plugs.

The location of Hotel Muisca was perfect. It is an easy walk to shops, restaurants and all of the museums within the La Candelaria area. Our breakfast was included and each day the staff would ask what we wanted for breakfast the next morning and at what time. The breakfasts were cooked to order. The staff was helpful and friendly. They called for a cab for us and made recommendation on places to visit. Our room was very comfortable and cleaned each day. The entire hotel is a gem in the historic area of Bogota. We would highly recommend it.

Excellent location to explore many nearby attractions including a variety of museums, authentic restaurants, and markets. Muisca inspired design was very appealing. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was warm and cozy.

Hotel offers a great view, but this comes at the price if being on top of a steep hill - not a problem personally but something to be aware of. Would have liked more vegetarian options, but this is only a minor detail.

A really beautiful historic looking hotel in a great location. It has a cool rooftop terrace with a nice view - great for breakfast or dinner. Room was cozy, breakfast was delicious, staff was helpful and friendly. We read some reviews where people were complaining about the double bed being too small, therefore we booked a room with 2 single beds and just pushed them together - worked good, so we had a good sized double bed.

It was very cold in the room and bathroom - make sure to turn the radiator on (it was a bit better when we did that, although it would only work part of the day/night, therefore it was still kind of cold). Also, the room didn't have much sound proofing - our room was close to the lobby and therefore it was a bit too noisy for us, especially early in the morning.

Breakfast was rich and tasty, used to change on a daily basis (fresh juices, eggs). Reception desk, including the gentleman who checked us in and out, were extremely friendly and polite. They helped us with the luggage, gave hints about the area, spoke good English and offered to grab a taxi. We were very grateful for this introduction as it was our very first day in Bogota. Also location and safety of the hotel are to be recommended.

Lovely themed boutique hotel with a nice patio, helpful staff, great value as breakfast on the roof terrace was included (small, but will do the trick), conveniently located close to the historic city center and the streets /squares where the local students have their bars and cafes. Also walking distance to the cable car to Montserrat. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated, ours had excellent mattresses, too. Be sure to cross the main road to the Egipto favela for a guided tour with the local tour operator Breaking Borders, highly recommended!

Hotel sits basically on the very top edge of the mountain that the historic center rests on, expect a rather exhausting walk back "home". Also not really suitable for people with walking issues / disabilities (the hotel itself is suitable, just the location not really).

breakfast is nice but when you stay several days it is repeating first room we got was noisy because it was close to the rooftop restaurant but they were kind to change us to a more quiet room

Quaint hotel with genuine Colombian feel. Location excellent for walking to Monserrate and the exploring the old town. Staff very helpful. Breakfast good.

Not a negative but be aware, you have to book breakfast time slots. If you want to be away early to make the most of the day and cooler weather - I’d suggest booking a breakfast time prior to check-in if you’re arriving late.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of La Candelaria. This hotel has such a unique and special charm with such kind and welcoming staff, and we felt so lucky to have had the opportunity to stay there. I travelled with a toddler and he wasn’t always the easiest or quietest guest and they were all so lovely to us and very accommodating. The roof deck is an added bonus with a wonderful view of the city & mountains. Special shout out to Juan Carlos and the rest of the hotel staff. THANK YOU !
