The hotel was nice and we had a balcony in our room. Hotel was right next to beach. The breakfast was served in the restaurant next door and I would highly recommend having dinner there as well. Great service and excellent food!

Many nice things about this hotel: 1) the location. It is close to the center of Jaco, and right on the beach, with a lifeguard station just off to the side, and nice surfing action right out front. 2) the staff were very warm, receptive, and helpful. 3) the entire complex was kept up very nice, very clean, very bright. 4) there is a security guard on duty in the gated entrance to the parking area and lobby, attentive and vigilant. 5) one of the best (if not THE best) restaurants in Jaco is immediately next door, right on the beach, and breakfast there was included with the room.

Uh...well, there aren't a lot of hooks from which to hang your swim trunks and towels to dry...does that count as a negative? I am hard pressed to find anything I didn't like about this place.

This was my first trip outside of the USA, and I have to say that Costa Rica treated us very well! This accommodation was perfectly located (close to the beach and close to the town). We had a second-floor room with a balcony that faced the pool. There was a coconut tree nearby, and we were tickled to death to see an iguana had climbed up and seemed to be guarding the fruit! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Beds were quite hard for our taste.

Our group of seven loved this hotel! The best part is that it was right on the beach, so super easy access, just a short walk to the main street, yet far enough away that we didn't hear any street noise. Days were warm and AC was great. My kids and I stayed in a two-bedroom room with a roomy shared bathroom, while my parents stayed next door in their own room. Our rooms were cleaned every day, which I wasn't expecting but was fantastic because we did track a little sand in from the beach. The little cafe that served breakfast was just lovely, and literally right next to us on the beach, so it was almost as if we didn't leave the hotel. The menu was small but varied, so that everyone was able to find something they liked. The beach out front, the pool in the courtyard, the balconies, the proximity to town -- everything was so fantastic.

The only quibble I have about this lovely hotel is that breakfast included only one beverage, and only 1 refill. So you could have two cups of coffee, but not an orange juice and a coffee, and not three cups of coffee. The orange juice was literally Tang or Sunny D or something, so it wasn't great, and it seemed silly to limit something like *coffee* in Costa Rica of all places to TWO cups. But! That's really my only complaint, and it's very minor.

Fabulous room with kitchen with gas stove and microwave. Right next to a great pool with loads of different chairs and sunloungers. Our room had a terrace with sofa and chair overlooking the pool and garden. An iguana often visited! The beach was right outside the hotel and breakfast was served in the cafe on the beach. This cafe also did great food and cocktails in the evening for reasonable prices. Jaco itself was nicer than I expected with lots of useful shops and restaurants. We saw scarlet macaws in the trees around. We were also able to find a second hand book store with books in English.

Only one issue. As we were being picked up by interbus to take us to Monteverde at 2.45 on our last day, the chap in reception the day before we left kindly arranged for us to check out at 2pm instead of the usual 12 noon. However the next day an angry man came and shouted at us for not checking out at 12 noon. Very upsetting.

Super clean and well maintained family run 'traditional' hotel in the center of Jaco. Great pool, beach, and companion restaurant - Koko Gastro Bar. Grounds and pool immaculately maintained... If you want marble countertops and luxury amenities, the Flamboyant is not for you... If you want authentic Costa Rican experience, great customer service, not crowded at all kinds of places, book this place now if you are staying in Jaco...

Beds are the traditional hard Caribbean / Central American firmness.

Great beach front location with the feel of a private paradise. Easy to walk around Jaco. Only two blocks from a grocery store. On site restaurant had good food. Nice pool had a shaded poolside patio area with tables and lounge chairs.

no hair dryer. there was a soap dispenser .. but no shampoo in shower. I’d forgotten how sometimes the hot & cold water handles are reversed from English in Costa Rica. H = helado (cold) C= caliente( hot). Wish I’d been reminded by the front desk.

Great location, although the street will sneak up on you if driving. The place is connected to Koko's restaurant which is one of the better beach bars/restaurants. The room is mainly just a bed but they have very well designed storage areas for bags and toiletries. The ocean view is from a distance but it's there and likely not unlike many others. The place has onsite parking. It is a little cramped bit they didn't hassle me about hanging over 1 of the lines. Overall, I just felt like this was a tremendous value and very much like what is advertised.

Ocean views are a bit distanced and blocked but appeared as advertised.

Good size pool with watersplash one end, good space by the pool for sunbathing. Walked through front gate on to lovely beach with white sand and waves great for surfing or just swimming. Best beach of our stay in Costa Rica. Location of hotel right in front of Jaco beach. Enjoyed food and comfortable room. The resident iguana was an interesting sideshow!

For this standard of hotel and price, there was nothing to dis-like.

The location was top notch and affordable - especially for the quality and fact that it's right on the beach and in the center of Jaco. We always felt safe (including at night) due to the hotel security and the gates were locked at night to the beach. One of the most impressive things was the prompt response from management (Bolivar) on here. He was super helpful with answering all questions and helped us arrange our transportation from the airport to the hotel and return trip. For reference, it was ~$100/trip. We were even more impressed because our flight was 5 hours delayed and he told us that everything was taken care of and our driver was waiting for us when we arrived (despite the delay)! You can ask for beach towels at the front desk and change them out as many times as you like (as long as you keep returning them). Our room was clean and had great A/C, and the balcony overlooking the pool/ocean was just another perk, and the shower pressure was great Breakfast was included at the hotel restaurant (Koko) and was awesome. We also frequented there for lunch, dinner, and drinks (ribs were amazing and mango/coconut marg <3). There was live music and the staff was just amazing!! My boyfriend dropped something between the cracks of the patio and they went out of their way to make sure he got it back. Overall, felt very safe and will definitely be back!

Wish we had more time! Not a big deal for us, but internet only was reliable in the common areas and sometimes connected in the room. If you are returning to the US and brought an Abbott test to do the telehealth COVID test from your phone, make sure you check your connection or use your data!
