We liked the furniture, the balcony was really cozy and it was quite familiar at all. We were there at Christmas, and we got a Christmas atmosphere even without the snow and cold.

Breakfast was good, but a wider selection would be necessary.

The breakfast seemed very authentic !! We very much wanted an authentic visit. Julie and I walked in most every part of town - day and night. We felt quite safe , not even once was I WORRIED.

It's NOT that we disliked being turned around in a foreign country; we ALWAYS felt safe and that was part of the experience . People from there would see our confusion and try to help us. In fact two college aged guys approached us and then decided to just walk us back to the hotel. So, my only suggestion is to expect paper maps to be of only some help; because there are very very few street signs. The Hotel Javy desk said people often use cell phone mapping apps, like google maps.

we had a very nice stay at hotel javy. the AC was great (ask for a better remote if the first ones lame). the breakfast was solid. mossstttt of the staff was super. clean, comfy, quiet. the street allows for good hot meal options walking distance. we attended a liberia futbol match down the street walking which was awesome. mom did laundry for free. gated parking. hot shower for a good while until it cools off......one of the best swim spots in my life is 20 minutes away "poza los coyotes." we spent two days swimming there we liked it so much. you will be missing out if you pass it up

i give this spot all good reviews....worth noting our shower drain was elevated from the tile floor so you had a contained puddle....sink was small so we had to fill our water bottle in the laundry room sink because we couldnt find any other tap....some of the breakfast attendants seem more inspired than others, but breakfast was over all slam dunk 3 mornings in a row......gated in 8 car spots, so first come first serve it seems, but we always had a spot.....we had a very happy stay

The staff were wonderful, very helpful recommending things to do and help finding locations in the city. They managed to book me on a tour (Leona Waterfall - HIGHLY RECOMMEND) for significantly less than the prices I found online. The included breakfast was also delicious and reasonably portioned. Would stay again.

The location is a bit far from the city center, 20 minutes walk or so but really not a big complaint. It’s safe to walk around at night (for a single male anyway). Theres also a convenience store less than 10 minutes away and a decent bar/restaurant less than two blocks away (Manzu Chillout & Restaurant).

Hotel Javy is a quaint hotel with charming accommodations. It is fenced in which gives it a nice feeling of security though the neighborhood was local and lovely. The front desk staff was unbelievably helpful. We are from Kansas City, MO, and we were there on Super Bowl Sunday. He helped us find a great little local bar, La Jungla, to watch the game. It was a great experience. GO CHIEFS! The breakfast that Hotel Javy provided was excellent. The eggs & rice were hot while the fruit was cold and fresh. The coffee was very tasty. The rooms were clean, and the air-conditioning was cold.

This hotel is far from the center of town, so not really a good walk to much, Mostly a residential area, but there is a fairly close bakery which met our needs. However, once inside to gates, it is a comfortable place and the staff is very helpful. The rooms are nice sized and there are lots of rocking chairs and tables outside to sit among the plants. The breakfast is amazing...carrot juice and fruit along with eggs, gallo pinto, platinos, sausage. Served by a charming young woman! Fransisco, who is the night clerk, made it easy to make our own dinner on the patio. Very nice updated bathroom.

Kind of noisy from the upstairs walkers, but very fair place for the price. Would stay again.

Clean, safe, and simple hotel which I'd stay again for an overnight stay before/after my flight. Everything was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was small and simple (gallo pinto, fruit, and coffee) and quite good. The room had a desk and chair which was nice. The window in the shower had a ledge to hold your soaps/etc.

My dislikes are common to other value places I've stayed, notably hard beds and occasionally hearing loud vehicles outside. If this is your first stay in CR it may bother you, but we found this pretty common no matter where we stayed in CR and this was the least loud of all our "value" stays. It's not the prettiest location, but that's mainly because of it being in Liberia.

- People working here are kind - we called them to modify our dates and there was no problem - the breakfast was nice - the hotel was rather quiet - the hotel was beautiful with lot of plants /flower

- there was humidity damages on the wall of the room, but it did not bothered us - maybe a bit far from the city center if you have no car (25min walking)

The hotel was exceptionally clean and well run. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was especially nice and we were served our food to order. The grounds are lovely. This was a great find for a budget hotel in the middle of a non-touristy city.

The location was a bit out of the center of the city and you need a car or ride service to get there. There were some, but not many, dining options within walking distance. It's not a neighborhood to explore, just a clean, safe place to stay.

it was good. location was not too far from airport, about 15 minutes or so during the early morning hours. the young lady at the front desk was very nice to us I really liked her helpful advice and was able to put us in a room downstairs that was convenient for us to get up and leave without disturbing anyone at 4:30 am. I don’t know her name but very impressed with her English and front desk skills. thank you

although a little dated, still clean and comfortable, all we needed.
