This was about the 5th time I stayed at Aldea. The location is just right in the town center and as a female I feel very safe walking aorund the area. The Hostel is a beautiful victorian style house with high ceiling and the rooms are huge. No matter when I go and the change of staff, they are always super nice and the owner is very helpful with whatever you need. I have stayed in both dorms and private room and this time I asked to get another room just because I like to be upstairs better and I was obliged with a smile . Thank you so much always for the hospitality Emir and enjoy your own trip. Its hard coconut oil cold here and I cannot wait to get back home to CR and will of course stop by Aldea. I highly recommend this hostel. They also have a kitchen and a restaurant on site.

Nothing i dont like about this hostel :)

This was my first time visiting but certainly not my last. The hotel is located close to the main boulevard where you can find a Pali (supermarket), scotiabank is about 100 meters from there and many restaurants around, Machu Picchu if you like Peruvian is a must! As for the hotel, it has a vintage Spanish hacienda vibe, nicely decorated, and Emir is an amazing host who went above and beyond to make me feel at ease, this place truly felt like home. Breakfast was always available, even when one gets up at 11am like I did most days. Their gallo pinto is delicious! Lillian, the cleaning lady, is super friendly and attentive. Paola will serve you with a smile and willingness to help in the adjacent restaurant. Speaking of the restaurant, it is truly astonishing. The pizzas, shrimp, calzones, local dishes are all top notch, the drinks (mojitos, sangria, margaritas, baileys coffee, etc.) are on point and they even have a delicious home-made lemonade... all at reasonable prices for the area. Right across the street you'll find a small independent cinema which adds to the charm, and the area is safe during the day. This is a great place for someone who wants to relax in a scenic environment with an amazing restaurant open till 9/10pm most days and a host who will go out of his way to accommodate you. When I arrived I was given room 105 which didn't suit me. Emir quickly offered another accommodation and moved to room 107 which was ample (2 separate beds) for 1 person. The showers had great pressure and hot water was never an issue, clean rooms, no bugs around which in that climate is normal to find. If I could give more stars to Emir and his team, I would.

The building is lovely. The staff were exceptional and it was the best breakfast I had anywhere in Costa Rica. The little Italian restaurant is friendly reasonable (by Costa Rica standards) and the food is excellent. The women who work there and who make the food were kind and helpful. I had flu while there and I felt really cared for. Good mattress and lots of hot water was also much appreciated.

I had a great time at Casa Aldea. The room was comfortable and met all my expectations. The wifi worked perfectly throughout my stay. The breakfast was delicious. Emir was an excellent host and made sure I had a wonderful stay even though he was traveling at the moment. His sister Merve was absolutely amazing. She even showed me around the area and we had some great conversations. Thank you guys for making me feel at home!

Nothing. Everything was perfect.

The hotel was perfectly located for us as we had to catch the TicaBus very early in the morning. The staff was very welcoming, and gave us good tips for our (very short) stay. The hotel was generally very quiet.

The room was basic (but considering the price, no big surprise!) and the walls are paper thin. You could hear people talking on the other side of the wall. Luckily for us, everyone went to bed quickly!

Basic rooms, but equipped with al you need for a short stay. Very very helpfull staff, they are friendly and willing to help you with all your questions. I had to leave early (before breakfast time) and they made something small for me so that I could eat something before I left. The restaurant ‘The Corner’ is also a good option to eat something when you just arrived.

The location is top, the breakfast was delicious, the staff are very friendly, the property was clean and secure + free parking. If only the mattress were a bit softer and quieter, it would have been 10/10! But we found out that in Costa Rica mattresses are often harder than those in Europe.

Amir and his team are great hosts...very attentive, accomadating, and made me feel very at home for my 5 nights. I'd recommend a stay at Amir's for all of the above, also it's location and has an amazing Italian restaurant on the corner of the hotel.

Breakfast was basic but excellent. Also had lunch in the restaurant, it was amazing! Highly recommend stopping for a bite here even if you are not staying. Location - on a busy road, so noisy in the morning, however we did choose for the central location to the bus and car rental Staff was wonderful

The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful with big smiles. The food is very tasty with quality ingredients cooked to perfection. Casa Aldea is charming, safe, quiet and comfortable.
