Booked this hotel for my final three days of travelling, and didn't leave it for the entirety of the three days. I enjoyed my stay - the room was large and had two double beds with AC, tea and coffee facilities, a TV, toiletries as well as a shower and bath. There were also two tables so I could work comfortably from different areas in the room. Breakfast was good, although the amount on offer wasn't as large as other similar hotels. The pool and hot tub were great and they had competitive prices for the onsite bar and restaurant, although the shop on site could be stocked with more of a selection! The bar also had snacky things that weren't detailed on their menu, which was great for when I didn't want a big meal! Staff were 10/10 - super friendly and always happy to help.

The ventilation in the bathroom wasn't too good so often it would be wet for hours after a shower! Not many vegan options (none at all in the shop).

The staff are very helpful and cheerful. It's in a good location. The hotel is clean. The food is very good, freshly cooked with fresh ingredients. There is a 24/7 reception that speak English. Daily house keeping. There is a warm Jacuzzi outside. There are two double beds in one room. There is a fridge. There is a coffee maker. Plenty of toilet rolls. Bath and shower.

The main pool is cold. We were there for 2 weeks and saw only 2 people very briefly use the main pool. The pool is mainly in the shade all day and the water in it is very cold. The beds were quite firm with a thin mattress topper. Not enough tea/coffee sugar left.

Great way to start stay in Costa Rica - providing a bit of respite from busy city. Rooms were large and good condition, pool was nice to relax in during evening, and staff were very accommodating to our requests.

Whilst it is only 15 mins walk from city centre (Google Map), the staff did not recommend walking it, and Id support this. If you want to walk around city, perhaps look for somewhere a bit closer (although taxi around $5, and can drive). Only other observation is it has an event venue (standard for hotel of this size), but risk of events taking over part of hotel - ie Wedding took over part of pool area on one of our evenings, although we could use other half.

The breakfast at The Radisson Hotel San Jose was an a la carte not a large selection for such a huge hotel but all in all an ok breakfast. The hotel had a lovely restaurant but wasn’t busy at all which was a shame as they did some lovely food. We noticed people ordering to their rooms so perhaps this is the way to go, but not for me. They had a nice bar also where you could get a nice bar meal or snack and a drink from. When we stayed we had an uprade to the Presidential Room which was huge but soulless and didn't have a fridge which should have done and was in the suite we had previously ordered. But a lovely lively hotel with a nice vibe.

Excellent location close to downtown. Very friendly and accommodative staff. Good food in the bar as well as restaurant. The bed was very comfortable.

The location of the room is important. There was a lot of traffic noise all night in ours given its close location to a freeway. It’s a charming large older grand hotel but the drawback to that is inadequate soundproofing of the outdoor walls. But that was still much better than if you have noisy neighbors. We did not - completely quiet on our floor.

The staff are always very friendly and willing to help. The room was spacious and clean and wasn't too noisy in spite of being close to the pool area. The restaurant was also excellent - delicious food and willing to make adjustments for vegan options. Excellent piña colada 😇

It would have been nice to have more vegan options on the breakfast buffet (although the rice and beans were delicious and there was plenty of fresh fruit). The in-house tour operator was also a little unreliable (confusing times mostly) but the tours themselves were excellent.

The hotel had a beautiful courtyard with swimmimg pools. I watched tropical birds come and go among the trees and tropical plants. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and had varied entrees throughout the week. I thought the restaurant, Especias, was supurb and not overly expensive. Even the food in the Bar Jobo was delicious for a lighter meal. The staff was very helpful, always gracious and smiling! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The reception personnel was all wonderful. They attended to my needs very friendly and personable. Pablo was the travel assistant that cater to my service. Otherwise absolutely fabulous stay.

On the weekend I don’t understand the time restrictions for the gym use when most people workout in the early day before breakfast, meaning by 6am. Hopefully you will change that fir the better of your customers.

Pablo (Radisson Concierge) was absolutely amazing. He was responsive to every request for information I had in my preparation. Pablo made us feel like we were his most important clients and helped us with every request with patience and knowledgeable solutions.

Unfortunately, the pool area seemed like it was "in transit." The water was far too cold to swim in and the area around the pool (which is lovely) was not stocked with towels and the maintenance needed some attention. However, the "bones" of a lovely, peaceful spot is evident.

Wonderful hotel with good security. Facilities were nice and rooms were wonderful and very comfortable! Excellent breakfast that was included and wonderful restaurant for lunch and dinner. We thour up ouhgky enjoued thw excellent drinks and food. Staff was very helpful and kind. Excellent and convenient location.

Pool facilities and ponds/fountains in need of update/repairs. Only one hot tub that could only hold about 5 people.
