The rooms in the main building are nicer, with a beautiful common room and a great kitchen. The location is very good - next to an ambassy, within walking distance to the museums, the main shopping street and many restaurants. The room was very comfortable, TV with working Netflix. There is a cafe / bar right next door. Very clean, nice and comfortable. For the price, it’s clean and central and good value.

The shower was unpredictable. No hooks, racks or shelves. The building is shaking when a truck goes by and there is some traffic noise,

It was clean, comfortable and I liked the room. The staff member on site was nice and really helpful with any questions. It's in a lovely neighbourhood and easy to walk to central places. Was good to have a Smart TV in the room to unwind and relax at the end of the day.

The sound really travels between rooms. Not the hotels fault, but a couple in the next room were speaking at the top of their voices until late in the night. Guests need to be told to be considerate of noise levels.

The room was confortable. The coffee shop / restaurant next door is really good. And the doorman is very kind. The location is just perfect, in a nice neighborhood, close to downtown and also to other nice neighborhoods like Escalante.

There is no reception, however the communication with the hotel is good. The accesse to the common area is not that easy because we need to ask the doorman to open it. But overall it is a nice place to stay.

I highly recommend this place. The hotel is super clean and well equipped. The location is great, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the cafe/restaurant/pub downstairs is super nice. The area is safe, the street is well illuminated and next to it there is the Mexican Embassy with a security guard present at night. This will become my go to place when I'm back in San Jose.

Excellent staff, excellent stay. Great location. Very clean! Close to good coffee shop and lots of downtown attractions. I slept beautifully here even after a stressful night involving a bad pet-sitter back home, and found my room and bathroom super clean and comfortable. Would definitely return! Also, the food at the restaurant downstairs is amazing and the produce is beyond fresh. Just superb all around!

Very cosy and clean hotel with brand new equipments in a nice neighboorhood of San José (more quiet with nice bars and restaurants around). The whole building is well decorated and you can enjoy their awesome restaurant. There is delicious food and drinks (brunch in the morning with great coffee). Also thank you for your warm welcoming. We will definitely come back here next time !!

Our one night stay at hotel otoyo was wonderful. The room was very comfortable with working Netflix (something we haven’t come across in Central America yet!) The location is very good - within walking distance to the main shopping street and many restaurants The cafe attached is very cute. The staff were wonderful and helpful, especially Carlos.

Very close to central San Jose. Lovely staff, cafe next door was excellent and there was a craft beer bar next door also.

The road outside was noisy during the day, it calmed in the evening though

Central location, easy to find, great staff, clean rooms, what can I say? It's not a decadent place but it has everything we needed for comfy stay close to our other activities in the area. Close to cafe and bar, both have good food and drink.
