After reading the reviews about some rooms not having windows I made sure I read the small print and chose one with a city view, The view wasn’t great but I did have two large windows so plenty of light. The room was a good size with a very comfortable bed and decent air conditioning. It had 2 security boxes and a fridge which was nice to have. I stayed for three days and although staff were polite if asked something I didn’t find them overly helpful on reception until I met Marilett ( sorry, probably spelt wrong!) . She was very friendly and went out of her way to help me on a couple of occasions and she definitely made my stay more of a positive experience so thank you Mariliett!

I seemed to be missing half my shower door and the light by the sink in the bathroom didn’t work.

Breakfast was basic. I am vegetarian and they had plenty of fruits and a couple of vegetarian options. The restaurant staff is jovial attentive and friendly. The location is fantastic with the centro museums parks withing short walking distance. The cleaning was done very nicely, including dirty dishes in the sink.

I found the staff not quite accommodating in terms of providing adequate utensils-cutlery and towels-soap-shampoo. I had the junior suite with kitchenette and reserved for two people. Even after I asked the staff to provide me with these, it was apparent that they were not happy to accommodate. They complied partially and there is only so much I was going to ask and complain while on vacation.

The location was perfect! We were within walking distance of EVERYTHING! And our room was actually two rooms - a living area and the bedroom - and it was ENORMOUS! Literally, the space would have served as 3 hotel rooms in North American standards! We truly appreciated the space, as we were four people. The bathroom was also well designed - shower and toilet in an enclosed area with a door, with two sinks along a very long counter in a corridor that led to the bedroom. The bedroom was massive and fit 2 queen sized beds leaving plenty of room for luggage and more! The living room had a small kitchenette and table with 4 chairs, desk, couches, TV. Honestly, it was amazing! The decor was modern, and everything, including common space, was super clean. The design of the common areas was amazing with plenty of light and seating areas. We stayed there for 2 nights over a weekend and it was super quiet. Also, the staff was super friendly and the internet was very reliable and quick! We also liked the fact that free parking was included in the garage below, and was secured with a garage door controlled by the reception. Given how difficult it is to find parking in the city, this was an important feature for us. We plan on going back to San José this year, and we will definitely be staying there again!

With a kitchenette there, it would have been nice if there was some basic cutlery and a couple of plates. All there was, were a couple of drinking glasses. We had gotten take out and had to eat on paper bags. Also, there was no microwave, which would have been useful to heat up leftovers. Lastly, I didn't like the coffee!

Our experience at this hotel was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who proved to be kind, considerate, and always ready to assist us. The suite bedroom surpassed our expectations with its spaciousness and comfort, featuring two large beds and a luxurious bathroom with a separate toilet room. We were pleasantly surprised by the outstanding vegan dishes at the restaurant, which delighted our taste buds. Chef Denis, in particular, impressed us with his generosity in sharing one of his finest recipes. When we return to San Jose, Urban Green will undoubtedly be our top choice. Just a small suggestion for the management—increasing the variety of fruits and the quantity, especially pineapple, for breakfast would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for an unforgettable stay.

Spacious room and each floor has its public rest area; helpful and nice staff, great breakfast. The first night, we did not have a good sleep as the room was stuffy with strong cigar smell. The next morning, we told the staff, they changed our room straight away. This time, we had a room on level 5 which was quiet. When we told them that we had to check out early for the flight, they kindly prepared light breakfast boxes for us to take away. Really appreciated their kindness.

Probably the thin wall between the rooms. We could hear our neighbour clear and loud. It seemed they were talking in our room on the first night.

location was good, front desk office staff helpful and kind. room was spacious and the floor we stayed in (5th) was nice as well, in terms of the environment.

they could have free water either in the room or outside so you could fill in a glass for example. I don’t like the breakfast concept that you needed to choose either eggs and some other staff around the eggs (salad, bananas..) or waffles and fruits. The same with coffee and juice (you can choose 2 drinks not more-like if you want to drink a 2nd coffee and a juice you need to pay it extra) it seemed a bit poor and when you are on vacation you cannot really restrict yourself so much. sorry guys!! fix this :)

Could not say enough good things about this hotel. The staff is exceptional. They first gave me a handicap room so I asked to be moved. Javier went above and beyond and not only did he move me but he also upgraded me to a room with a living room and kitchen,,, THANK YOU!!!!! We asked Juan for some tour advice and he too went above and beyond. Not only did he give us some suggestions but he called and arranged for a private tour the next two days. Dennis and his staff made an amazing breakfast buffet every morning, he even made special dishes for me. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable.

Our first room had no windows, I was not informed by Booking .com, and it never occurred to me to ask, very strange. Digital Nomad Concern: There is a router in the middle of the lobby of the floor so the Wifi was only good when I was next to the door of the room. The water in the shower would go from hot to cold on its own.

Liked, the staff. We had small issue on arrival and the staff went over and beyond to ensure things were sorted and we were comfortable The room, outstanding, large, quiet and well appointed. Staff, on the whole were excellent, the chef at breakfast, always in a good mood, happy in his job and just a nice way to start the day Location is good for doing things like the Jade Museum, the Gold Museum and the Artisan and Central markets.

Only real issue id that we couldn't find anywhere at night for meals ..... but we worked our way around that, so in the end, not a big issue.

This hotel is very clean and modern in the heart of San Jose, it is walkable to a lot of restaurants and shops and we had no issues checking in late when we arrived after midnight. Would stay again!

We didn't realize the room we booked did not have any windows, so just a buyer beware that your room may not have any windows. This wasn't a big deal as we were able to sleep peacefully and didn't spend much time in the room for it to bother us.

Beds are really comfortable. Had some of our best nights sleep here. Location is excellent, everything on walking distance. Breakfast was great, with choice between a local/hot breakfast (eggs, rice, etc) or an american breakfast (waffles and fruit). Everything was spotless clean. Hot shower was great too.

please select your room carefully. Some don’t have a window. We chose one with a window, but this one had a very low ceiling (about 2 mtrs). This felt weird at start, but you get used to it.
