Hotel Nikolas has an excellent location between the train station Ostrava-Hlavní nádraží and the city center. We met about 3 receptionists during our stay, but they were all very nice. Large, spacious room in the attic of the hotel with a view of the garden. We had a kettle in the room so we could make coffee or tea at any time. Private bathroom with huge bathtub. A bottle of mineral water was free in the room. Breakfast buffet, from which everyone can choose. Very good Wi-Fi internet connection.

I do not see any cons of this hotel. It is very likely that I would stay at Hotel Nikolas again next time.

Loved this hotel, 10 minutes walk from the main railway station, or three stops by tram (very frequent). Tram/bus network also useful to get into the centre of Ostrava (trams/buses every 5 minutes) which takes about 15 minutes to walk. Check-in was very quick and efficient. Our rooms were excellent, very spacious and I enjoy the decor of this establishment. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, we were always acknowledged, and staff would stop for a chat to check that we were okay and enjoying our stay. Breakfast was excellent, a great selection of hot and cold food available.

This was a very short stay after a train delay so I needed a 24 hour reception close to Ostrava station. Apart from fulfilling this criteria the hotel is modern, clean and comfortable. The staff were the high point. Even though it was 2.30 in the morning the service at reception was excellent and very cheerful. I had to leave early before the normal time for breakfast but it was no problem for the night receptionist to prepare a really substantial packed alternative. Unbeatable service!

It wasn't cheap but I would say that it was value for money - for 4 hours good sleep!

The location was excellent, on tram and bus routes - 3 stops to the main railway station (10 minutes walk) and three stops to the city centre in the other direction (15 minutes walk). On my arrival I was greeted by a female receptionist where I felt I was an imposition on her work. This was a shame because the other receptionists I encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. I arrived in pouring rain, soaking wet and I had to wait until she was ready to check me in. The room was superb, very spacious and comfortable. All the facilities worked well although no air-conditioning remote control unit was available in the room. The beds were excellent and the duvet provided was a good size and very warm. Breakfast was a pleasant experience and served promptly (7-10am Mon to Fri, 8-10am Sat & Sun). A good choice of drinks, meats and pastries were available.

Nice hotel for the money you pay. Clean enough, cozy, free parking, big room. Breakfast was ok, everything necessary but nothing fancy.

Saturday evening was had to find a restaurant for dinner near the hotel. Most of places serve only drinks. We went to intalian places just in front of the hotel. Pizza was excellent, but be ready that you will smell like pizza next few days 😂

Nikolas hotel is a comfortable solution, easy park included and with a valuable receptionist Mr. Marco, who welcomed us perfectly, very professional and experienced. Room well equipped, large, comfortable and foremost very clean. Breakfast quite complete. Good elevator, large spaces to easily move through luggages and with family. Our room was like small suite, with refrigerator, small kitchen with sink and cutlery. Two TV as the room was divided in 2 living zone. I recommend anyway the staying on this hotel, since ratio quality/price is above the average.

well, to be meticulous, couple of things could reveal helpful to improve services level. 1. at the end of september could be necessary still use air conditioning but it was unable to be switched off as I believe it was already in heating mode 2. pillows could be improved. 3. the hotel collaborators working within breakfast area should improve service level. They don’t speak english, missing adequate flatware, and unfortunately coffee wasn’t good quality. General chaos during breakfast time.

The welcome. The Receptionist is a lovely man. So helpful. The hotel are so lucky to have such an excellent Receptionist. He is perfection. Junior suite was wow. Standard of cleaning excellent.

Nothing to dislike.

The breakfast was very good, the room was clean, I was expecting a king bed. The parking was also free of charge and with a big space.

spacious room with kitchen en double bed, large bath for relaxing. Very friendly staff, there are some good restaurants near the hotel. My room was amazing 40 square meters with couch and relaxing chairs

Breakfast could be a bit better (especially coffee and coffee maachine, as it was instant coffee), and maybe more things like scrambled eggs etc
