Situated in presumably ex offices of the huge steelworks, this is an unusual choice but I like unusual choices! Even though it's a few miles from the centre of Ostrava it's easy to get to via trams 1 & 2 which stop a few minutes walk away under the road underpass. Reception were friendly and efficient, the room was big, slightly sparse in decor but everything worked. Was quiet despite the busy road and even had an insect screen on the window! If you're not into unusual places to stay this possibly isn't for you, but if you're going to visit the Dolni Vitkovice area (or just like stopping in strange places!) then it's definitely one to look at, plus it comes at a good price too.

Nothing, was all as expected.

It is a unique accommodation within the Dolni Vitkovice site. It is not a fancy pace, but the room is big enough, clean and with a table for working or reading. What I particularly liked was the noise (not loud, but audible) from factories nearby, an unusual experience. The another big advantage with staying in this hotel is that you will get 20% off the entrance to the Dolni Vitkovice site. The receptionists spoke only a bit of English, but they were friendly. I also liked the breakfast, served personally to the room.

As it is in a former industrial complex, there is not much shopping or eating places in the area. It is stil close enough to a new Karolina shopping mall and there are also places in the Vitokovice town, though. The biggest problem for me, who travelled for work is the internet, which did not properly work and I could not do much.

Really cheap but solid accomodation in the middle of Vitkovice industrial area. It is not a fancy palace, but it works very well. It has somewhat of a hospital vibe - especially with the breakfast on a tray that is delivered to you in the morning. So thanks to this vibe the feeling there is kind of funny, but I can only recommend it. Fine accomodation.

Clean, friendly, old-school "dorm-style" stay. You get a very basic narrow room with two beds and a clean bathroom, for a great price. Location perfect for events at Dolni Vitkovice (concerts and such). Extremely friendly staff, who are very helpful with local transport questions. Small fridge and an assortment of basic snacks and needs are available at the 24/7 front desk. Beds are firm, comfy and clean. Bathroom clean and functional. No view, but high windows available for light and ventilation. Good heating system. Lots of wardrobes for clothes, etc. Basic lighting, and nice bedside lamps for reading. Right on the main tram line, so easy to get to from either of the main train stations (Svinov; Hlavni Nadrazi) or the main bus station (UAN).

Only drawback is no soundproofing on doors, so you're really reliant on good neighbors. Sadly I had drunks shouting and making phone calls in the hallway at 3am. This interrupted my sleep, which made the next day pretty hard. Bad luck. Hotel is quite out of the way, but that means the area is very quiet. Also, it is located on the main tram line, so it's easy to jump a tram and get wherever you wish to go.

Very nice and helpful staff, excelent location - not only you can get breakfast at The Bolt Tower nearby and wander around Dolní Vítkovice, you can also get to city centre by tram as the tram stop is 300m from the hotel.

Although we were promised a double bed, we´ve got two singles put together with a huge and uncomfortable space in between. I would also suggest to get better cleaning suplies as the ones that were used had very unpleasant smell. But these are small things that did not ruin our trip and we´ll only remember the good stuff.

Perfect place of you want to see the old factory, the hotel is basically in it. Basic, but clean. The mattress could be better, bed was very hard, but not issue for me since I prefer it that way. It's a you get what you pay for kind of a deal.

Shower was weird and very loud. Poor ventilation in the room, so don't stay here if it's +30 outside. OK for autumn though.

amazing staff on reception, which operated 24hrs a day.. really nice ladies, always smiling and accommodating.. they even let us leave the luggage very late after our checkout. rooms were clean and the beds were really comfortable, the location of the hotel was perfect for the festival visit

Good value hotel in former steelworks complex, a bit unusual.

Out of town but easily reachable by tram routes 1 and 2 from main station and city centre. Very little in the area so either take your own food and drink or eat before you arrive, or go back to city centre when you have checked in like we did.

The location and the price are excellent. The breakfast is ok. Check in and check out are fast

The hotel is in some kind of former industrial building so you can hear the talks of neighbor rooms at the same floor. The breakfast is in the building in front and is tricky to find the room

This is a very cool place to stay. It is minimalist meaning no bells and whistles but being a converted office building attached to the former huge Ostrava steelworks (a major tourist attraction - it has a certain atmosphere about it.

It was all OK. No complaints.
