This hotel is really beautiful, right in the city center (you won't get a better location than this) and the staff is friendly and helpful. - our room was big - good water pressure - good breakfast with many options - usually quiet

Although the room was nice, it didn't look like the pictures on booking. The pictures on booking are aligned to the overall esthetic of the hotel, our room wasn't. Because the hotel is located in the city center, if there are any events in the city, it might be noisy. There was a festival for the first night we were there and it was really loud, but they gave us ear plugs, which helped. The rest of the nights were really quiet and there were no issues.

We were totally blown away by how spoilt we felt arriving at this hotel and then entering our room. It was very spacious, even the bathroom, plenty of towels, block out curtains, separate armchairs, it was unbelievable. Absolutely will stay again and will only stay there as the location was amazing, so close to shops and restaurants and not far from the train station (we walked from the train station). The staff were so accommodating. One lady helped us find a laundromat and printed out the name and map for us. Whatever we asked it was not a problem. So very kind people.

Nothing here, we have no complaints or suggestions as the hotel was perfect.

All staff without exception were charming. The building had great character and decor and was very well situated in the centre of town. Our room was sizeable with a great view of the cathedral. The breakfast spread was super fresh with a good range of products and fine coffee.

Although our room was sizeable there was a lack of drawer space and hooks for clothing etc Personally I felt the bed was a little too soft and being at the front of the building there was a fair bit of noise from revellers outside, at night.

The Hotel Royal is very grand! From the reception, which has a giant fish tank built into it, the chair in the lift, and all the amazing portraits of the Danish Kings & Queens for over a thousand years in the hallways. The breakfast is fabulous, the room quiet and the decor was beautiful. I loved my curtains, heated bathroom floor and a face washer. Staff are very friendly, helpful. The hotel is opposite the Cathedral and in the centre of everything. Excellent location. I highly recommend for you to plan a stay here.

We were provided with a very nice room with view on the main square. Housekeeping was great and staff very friendly. Location of the hotel is excellent.

I can only think of one thing that I would like to see improved, and that is the breakfast. It was a bit simple and basic and not in line with the exceptional standard of the hotel, but then again it was made clear to us that the breakfast was Continental, so I guess that’s what it was. Besides that, all 100% !

was staying in the hotel for my Birthday. nice interior and atmosphere, great room with cosy bathroom. good breakfast. well located and with the parking zone close with possibility to charge a car.

condition of sauna was not really good, wood is old and damaged. Even having one of the best rooms in hotel, there was no water in the room for client. it was very strange to see hotel is saving on these simple things, usually available as complimentary for visitors.

The man working when I checked in went over his ways to meet my desires and needs, he really did that little extra which simply gave my stay a golden touch. Truly professional. Fluffy quality pillows and fresh sheets, soft bed and generous space. Great bathroom facility. Extra plus for the lovely piano they allow guests to play until 9 PM.

Could’ve used some more shampoo and conditioner. The tiny single use bottles are usually not enough. The cleaning of the room was unfortunately poor. Body hair in the shower both on the walls and the floor. Some forgotten pieces of candy behind the chairs in the main room. It’s usually not the cleaners fault but a sign that the hotels are keeping them under too tight scheduled time/ per room. I’d like to see this hotel giving their staff the time they need to be able to do a good job.

Polite Staff very large room - Excellent Location Easy walking distance to all attractions. I’d recommend visiting The Old Town attraction.

The breakfast was a major let down. literally no choice. Fruit juice / coffee egg bacon and sausage croissants and bread - limited fruit. only had it the 1st day. went out to other establishments for the remainder of our stay. you’d get very bored if staying here for a week.

We liked the location. It’s very central in Aarhus and right in the city center. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly and service minded.

Even though the room and hotel was clean it was a bit worn down. It needs a renovation to keep up with cheaper hotels nearby. Breakfast didn’t have much to offer. Overall it was a pleasant stay but the price does not match the hotel.

lovely historic hotel in the center of town. hotel has a beautiful stain glass mural and antique elevator, recreating past luxury. Breakfast was excellent with many choices and the lady at the front desk was always welcoming and helpful. this is the best hotel thus far on my vacation.

would have been nice if the restaurant was open for dinner or lunch.
