* The Roof Top Breakfast was great and the view from their of the Pyramids & Sphinx couldn't have been better. * View the pyramids light show from roof top restaurant. * The Hotel Staff were very friendly and helpful. * The Rooms and Bathrooms were clean * Only a few meters from an entrance to the pyramid complex
WiFi was usable but not very fast and could be unreliable

If you are coming to Cairo to see the main historic sites then stop at this hotel. It is clean, comfortable and friendly. The location, next to the Giza Plateau, means the that Pyramids, Sphinx and other sights on the Plateau are within walking distance. The view of these sights from the hotel's roof sitting / dining area is astonishing. Furthermore, since Giza is out of the main city and on the west bank, this means that other sights not to be missed, such as Saqqara, Dahshur and Memphis, are within easy travelling distance and you do not need to travel though busy Cairo to visit them. When you do wish to visit central Cairo, for the Egyptian Museum for example, just grab a cab and then return to the relative tranquility of Giza and this hotel. Finally, the new Grand Egyptian Museum, not yet fully opened but WELL worth a visit, is only a few kilometers away. In short, as a many-time visitor to Cairo, this is a great hotel. Go for it !
No bar. But this is Egypt and the culture must be respected. If you fancy a beer grab a taxi for EGP100 to the nearby Marriott Mena House. Dress appropriately.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is practically across the street from the lower (Sphinx) entrance to the pyramids. That made it easy to have an early breakfast at the hotel, walk across the street to the ticket office and be first in line to enter, avoiding crowds completely. Wifi was working only in the lobby during our visit, but they said it was due to a local outage. The view of the pyramids from our room was partially blocked by the neighboring building, but the view from the roof was perfect. You can also get a great rooftop view at the Pizza Hut next door. Beds were comfortable and the room was large (family room with pyramids view).
Breakfast was just ok, not super. And the room didn't feel very clean, which should be a priority even for a hotel in this price range. On the other hand, nothing in this neighborhood looks very clean.

Ahmed the staff was very interested in make us happy, he took care of us, upgraded the room (air cond didn’t work), provided good deals tour, good recommendations, helped once we got a bit food poison. Once you go, ask for Ahmed or Sheriff, you will be in good hands. Excellent view from roof to pyramids.
1st room - Old mattress, air cond didn’t work 2nd room - Bed separated for couples, room no window, one horrible mattress.

The hotel was really nice, and they organized the trip with a very good guide. The car was a bit weird, and the AC wasn’t cold enough and could’ve been better, but our guide, Efify, was really kind, helpful, and very entertaining. The hotel staff was extremely nice. You can order food from the rooftop restaurant, and they’d bring it down to you. Sandy, who served us, was so nice and very patient. Ziad was also incredibly kind, checking in many times to make sure everything was going well. Even the room service staff was trustworthy—I left my stuff open, and nothing went missing.
The only issue was the WiFi—it wasn’t there at all, so I had to purchase data every day.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Hayat Hotel. Our room was spacious and clean, offering a perfect view of the Pyramids. The hotel is conveniently located near the entrance to the Pyramids. The terrace is amazing, possibly the best in the area, where you can enjoy the light show. The natural juices served were very good. The staff was consistently friendly and ready to assist. I recommend choosing a room with a view of the Pyramids, as others might face the camel stables (and the associated smell).
The dinner food was expensive, portions were small, and the quality was not satisfactory. We couldn't eat much at breakfast due to many of the plates being dirty (some even had detergent foam on them). Additionally, the fruits were not well-washed, and some packaged items were not fresh.

My husband and I came to celebrate his birthday and tick one off the bucket list…the Hayat is very close to Giza and the view from the rooftop terrace is incredible- you can view the sound & light show from here for free each night! The staff were anxious to help in any way they can, and to organise trips to all of the tourist sights which helps to avoid queues and hassle- we got all inclusive eg tickets, meals, driver, generally only extras were tips. Saïd was our driver and we can’t recommend him more ; funny, friendly and a great driver! Sabl at breakfast is a gentleman, so happy to get you what you’d like, makes a lovely pancake! Reda was our archeological guide that Samir arranged for our trip and she was outstanding, so knowledgeable and engaging, with impeccable English- we highly recommend her if she is available 🥰

1. Located right across the Spinx n ticketing office so convenient for both day ticket purchase n night light show, not to mention it is just a street away! 2. The roof top terrace cum restaurant offers wonderful, unblocked views of the Spinx n the three main pyramids. The night light show can also be enjoyed right there while having dinner! Sunset over the Spinx is breathtaking n sunrise is attractive albeit not as panoramic between rooftops.. 3.The bedroom with pyramids n Spinx view comes with a balcony where one can sit n bask in ptivate the magnificent display or partake in the bustling street scene below. 4. The lovely staff, every single one of them for being so courteous, warm, welcoming n personable.
Hmm... had to request for a hairdryer as none provided in the room which turned out faulty. Moments when wifi stalled. Room lights not bright. Awoken by sounds of furniture being moved overhead (roof terrace) in the small hours of morning.

Overall the hotel is pretty nice, we stayed in one of their basic rooms so then for what we payed there is nothing we are allowed to complain about. The room is full of what you’d need with complementary water, working air conditioning and shower cabin (really a “luxury thing” in Egypt). It could have been more clean or well-kept as many people say in the other reviews but really guys, you are in Egypt, standards are different, complain less and enjoy life more because you are literally in front of the pyramids and the sphinx in the best position ever. The rooftop is awesome with that view, awesome, there are also some umbrellas to keep you not under direct sun (and this is not obvious since there are many rooftops around without no umbrellas at all). Despite the rest of Egypt you’ll feel just a little the Egyptian “tipping mechanism”, meaning you won’t get forced to tip 😂, that is definitely a good thing considering how it works around.
The only thing that can be better is the breakfast, not much choice and not that clean, still good enough for a standard room… not at all if you pay for their top end room that is much more expensive. Also being in front of the pyramids and the ticket office means a lot, but really a lot of people offering you taxi, status, and everything else so you’ll be surrounded as soon as you’ll get out of the hotel.
