- We had a fantastic stay at La Mirage Inn and were glad to have picked this property - Management were amazing and answered all our questions, at any time of the day. They made it worth the stay! - The room was so spacious and clean! USB points (incl C) were super handy for travelers like us - Hollywood walk of Fame and surrounds were only a 10 min walk away. Safe area even at night - Parking for $10 per day was a bonus and the car park was safe, with lots of room (CCTV surveillance) - Petrol station across the road where we could also buy drinking water + essentials - 5 min walk to Gelson's supermarket and some great restaurants like La Villita Cantina - Would stay here again!

La Mirage is fairly bare-bones, but it's a fantastic value and provided everything I needed -- a clean, quiet room, a comfortable bed, exactly where I needed it to be located to enjoy UCB and Franklin Village for a week's stay. I could walk to most things, never felt unsafe, and slept like a champ. I kept a car in the lot and it was never bothered.

Location is great given the price per room. It is also comforting to know there is dedicated parking for a fee.

I was okay until the last morning when we were checking out early. There is only 1 person on the front desk which isn't as helpful if he gives the attitude. There are helpful posts but if you aren't a reader type, he wouldn't like it if you wake him up. He came off a bit rude when he said "you wake me up for that". I understand he is sleeping but isn't it his job to attend to whatever the reason the guests called for him. And it's not like its 2 am, we checked out at half past 4 that time.

The owners provide a personal touch and that is really appealing. They emailed me 1-2 days before and asked for my time of arrival. It was not an auto-generated email. They cared and it was evident. We arrived early and they facilitated an early check-in and we were very thankful for that. It was at the heart of Hollywood (almost). The Hollywood sign (high on the hills) is visible from right outside the hotel. There is a grocery store 4-5 minutes walk and Hollywood Walk of fame is like 10 minutes walk. We walked around and never felt unsafe. Met a few homeless people, etc though. Universal Studios Hollywood is a 10-minute drive (we took Uber instead of our rental car). The room was cozy with 2 queen beds, a fridge, and a micro-oven. It was pretty big and 4 of us had a comfortable 3 nights. It is right next to the highway and the highway exit passes right next to the hotel. Overall we had a nice stay. The Walmart in Burbank is a 20+ minute drive.

Our room was at the 2nd floor and there was no elevator. It was a little difficult to take our big suitcase to the upper floor. Also, there was a daily parking fee of $10 but I guess, it is not much for the location. The supermarket Gelson's was expensive.

Location was perfect for me. Bed very comfy. Air conditioning was functioning and extremely appreciated during heat wave. Friendly staff! Bathroom fan was functioning which seems a rarity in hotels these days.

I'm not certain I believe "enhanced cleaning measures" are in place - there were coffee/drink rings on the night stand, some other schmutz on the TV stand/dresser, and black stains on the vanity, all of which I cleaned off myself. The ice machine was broken for the duration of my stay (4 nights) and there was no mini-fridge in the room, so that was disappointing.

Honestly, I was a little surprised with how nice the room and hotel itself was. Large room, cozy, with a wonderful staff. I would honestly stay here again if I needed a room near Hollywood. All the amenities I expected were great - working AC, fridge, and the bathroom was pretty nice.

There's not much to dislike. The only (very) minor issue was our room wasn't prepped, but the cleaning staff took care of it within 15 minutes. Seems like it was simply a miscommunication, nothing too bad.

I really enjoyed my stay at LA Mirage Inn, Hollywood. You could tell that it had been recently renovated and it felt like a new hotel, in many ways. It was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and despite being near a freeway and on a semi-busy road, it was very quiet! The immediate surrounds (outside) also felt safe, and I felt very safe once inside the hotel. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. It was also great value for money. There is a gas station / convenience store across the road too, which was great to grab snacks and drinks. I would definitely go back.

If I was being picky, there was no elevator to the 2nd floor and I had to carry my 32kg (70lb) suitcases up the stairs, lol. Also, there was no fridge or even a kettle in the room. None of this really bothered me, but it's not ideal.

Spacious and friendly helpful staff

Towels were ridiculously small. No room cleaning just clean towels which were tiny and bare thread. Room wasn't spotless , lot of hairs and dust around. Dead cockroach outside our door. Husband must have stood on it as we left the room

I like how clean it was and everything was up to date..bed mattress was comfy and staff was nice...plenty of parking..in all a good stay and would recommend this hotel

The location was kinda bad..the area had some homeless around but not the biggest deal..and also the squeaky bed frame made some noise when moving on the bed..but again not the biggest deal

Nice room but no refrigerator. Other similar rooms had microwave and fridge. Cool pictures of Marilyn Monroe and a young Audrey Hepburn in the room. The sign in Hollywood Hills is visible from the dead-end street adjacent to the property. Very close to Hollywood Bowl and the main attractions. No swimming pool.

Had to wait until 3pm to check in. Room was not clean ahead of time and I had reservations for the night prior, so a room should have been open. Rescheduled, moving my stay back one night. No fee was incurred here, but could not check in early.
