An excellent location with a large-window view of the park you walk across (only a few minutes) to get to the wonderful old town. The room was large, comfortable and pleasant, the breakfast was absolutely superb, and the staff on the desk friendly and helpful. If anyone reading this is not sure about visiting Tartu, you shouldn't think twice! In many ways we preferred it to Tallinn, for things to see and do, for walking and - dare I say it - for charm also, as it's full of beautiful streets and buildings but not full of tourists or souvenir shops, it's more real!

The location for this hotel is really great! The hotel is very clean and warm, and welcoming. The beds were very comfy, the personal was nice. It's just great vibes all around. We were quite a big group - 6 couples (12 people) and we asked to have all 6 rooms close to each other and our wish was fulfilled. We had breakfast included in the price - and the breakfast was very good! A quite wide section of products, and nothing run out even when breakfast time was coming close to an end. So I'd highly recommend taking breakfast in the hotel too. Also - we didn't know it before, so we had our own gluten free bread - but here you can get some gluten free bread during the breakfast, if you ask the waiters. For someone who's coeliac that was just so nice to see.

Excellent location, amazing breakfast. Actually, during past year it was greatest breakfast - not so many item to choose between, but everything looks so tasty and attractive that you want them all. Very convenient that in the evening restaurant is available on the 1st floor with many high kitchen dishes and fresh draft beer. amazing city view from the room. Room itself is nor big, nor small - good size, very convenient. For kids there are board games and books available. Good to have more games in english, latvian or russian. Very tasty sweets on reception

There was a small misunderstanding with parking, it was hard to find, so we left car on the main street near the entrance first. It would be good to post among hotel pictures this parking map reception lady showed us during check in, so the navigation would be easier and no hurry and nerve

We stayed in the deluxe double room with a bath during the song and dance festival and also over the midsummer holidays. The room was spacious with a king bed- supercomfortable! The room had blinding curtains which was super important to me since we needed our sleep. Some light got in from the edges but if it would have not, we would probably had missed breakfast 😀. The outside traffic noise did not get into the room and we did not hear other guests either. The room has air-con and the bathroom had floor heating so ++. Service was great both in reception and restaurant, everyone was very helpful with my special dietary needs and also special requests. The hotel staff even sent up some chocolate and beverage for my birthday.

Hotel side- all was great. Restaurant however- the music in the morning was just horrible and did not suit breakfast time at all. It was a full- on dance club and really not what you want to hear when you have just waken up. Also the variety of fresh food could be better, only fruit option was watermelon, salad was very limited and most foods were fried. During summertime at least fresh berries and other seasonal produce could be incorporated to the breakfast buffet rather than compotes and sugary jams. Coffee was great though with also plant based milk options.

Excellent breakfast, very comfortable bed, quiet as we always prefer the room towards courtyard. Rooms towards courtyard also have an option to open the window which is important as rooms get too hot. Good value for money compared to other quality hotels in the centre of the Tartu.

Rooms get too hot. As a regular customer experienced that both in summer and winter. Being “environmentally friendly”, their air conditioning was off. In my mind it comes on customer dispense. For that reason we always prefer rooms towards courtyard where you can open the window. Not sure why, but this time the cleanliness was not on the top quality. There were pretty harsh stains on the chair, had to put the towel on it to sit on. Had to ask extra pillows as there were only 2 in the room and they were pretty flat. Be aware of parking-there are limited spaces and hard to get them as it is 1st come, 1st serve basis.

The only thing that caused us some discomfort was parking. The hotel claims that there is free parking available, but when we arrived, we were confused because there were no directions to the hotel parking. We had to call the staff who told us to park next to the courthouse (?) nearby where parking is free during the weekends. Then, as we came to the hotel, I learned that the hotel actually does have a parking area of its own, but I still don't know how one can access it... Very confusing. Not sure how this works on weekdays when there's no free parking at the courthouse.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms, even the standard ones were clean, well designed, bright. Also the hallways seemed to be recently updated. The brekfast bar - 10/10! Great selection, fresh, also caters for both sides sweet/salty breakfast goers. Also the restaurant itself was beautiful and also well designed.

This is nit picking but I would definitely recommend to re-do the reception floor/arrival area as it does not give justice to the hotel - in comparison to the hallways and rooms, the reception (design and cleanliness wise) was nowhere close.

Very nice location, good bathroom

Please for the love of God change/fix/replace/remove usb power outlets! When nothing is connected to them and/or the device is not turned on they emit noise that was driving me crazy during the night. I did not mind the one that was in the other side of the room, but the one that was behind my bed over the head was driving me crazy. I had to plug in the usb lamp and turn it on for the static eclectic noise to disappear. I was forced to sleep whole night with the light on.

It was great to have extra Pillows, the bed was nice and comfortable (the bed could be a little bigger). The Breakfast was a good selection of items and the great thing was it was open till 11:00 that is a plus for us. Generally it was a nice experience apart from a small details.

I didn't like that we were given a Disabled person's room. The outside kids area toys with missing parts or broken. Dirt between the sink and the sort of wall

The hotel is in the very center, very convenient location. The rooms are spacious and clean. The original paintings on the walls, as an artist, I really liked! The rooms have a pleasant smell!) At first, they gave me a cool room with panoramic windows. But it was very noisy there, since the windows overlook a large avenue with heavy traffic, and secondly, I like to ventilate the room at night, but there is no way to open the window. Therefore, I changed it to a room with windows facing the courtyard, and it was a great decision! Silence, birdsong and fresh air.

The staff of the Humal restaurant, where breakfast is served, is something "awesome") Due to work, i came to have breakfast only one morning. There was 1 more table besides me. The time was 9-30, breakfast until 10 am. By this point, some dishes have already ended, but this is probably normal. But my surprise was that the bread was over. The waitress went back and forth, but did not pay attention to it. Then I drew her attention to the lack of bread, she said that they would bring it now, and I sat until the end of breakfast, but nothing happened… then I went there again for lunch and there was the same feeling that the staff didn’t take attention on the guests. You can wait 10 minutes for a menu! And this is with an EMPTY restaurant)
