Just an amazing place to discover the beauty of Lapland! The property is surrounded by nature, and you can experience a true Winter Wonderland walking through the woods. The property organizes daily activities like chasing northern lights, feeding reindeers, ice fishing, snowmobile and many others. Two saunas are also available and everything is easily bookable, and they also offer some equipment for free (skis, winter suits, boots, slates etc.) The on-site restaurants offers a high-quality daily menu with three courses for dinner, included with the half board, and gluten-free options are available and safe together with other dietary restrictions, as the staff was well aware. Shuttle service is great to easily reach the property, and Ivalo is a 30 mins walk away. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the igloos are super cozy. Reindeers are a great plus, just out of your door! You can experience the northern lights if the sky is clear and there is activity.
The cost of each activity is considered per person, which sometimes can become a bit too expensive (e.g. private sauna in Helsinki was just 10 euros per person compared to 50 euros) - but prices are transparent and available both at the reception and on their website, so you can check in advance.

Beautiful, clean cabins that were just the right size, had a coffee/tea machine, fridge, good heating and were very private. The grounds of the resort were beautiful and we really enjoyed walking the trails. Winter outerwear provided which was fantastically warm and great for those travelling without heavy duty winter clothing. Activities were fairly reasonably priced considering - highly recommend the panoramic sauna and outdoor spa. Cosy restaurant with fire place, tea/coffee available all day, and wonderful included meals. Breakfast was varied and fresh, and dinners were 3 course and delicious. Service was lovely and overall we highly recommend Aurora village. By far the best of all the cabins/igloos I researched.
Paid Aurora alerts - seemingly free for every other location we searched! We also sadly had terrible weather for our entire stay - but not the fault of the resort at all!!

1- incredible cabin with a nice view . 2- helpful staff arrange an activity schedule. 3- 5 star meals and food
1- ask for a near cabin to the reception while booking so you no need to walk too much. 2- easy light weight badge since your the one Who will carry 3- difficult communication between your cabin and the reception if you need any thing you must call by your mobile or send an email. 4- the heater adjust from the reception . 5- there is no slipper in the cabin you must ask or bring your own

We love everything about Aurora Village! Beautiful property and cozy cabin. We couldn’t see aurora, but we enjoyed looking stars while lying down on the bed. A lady at reception was very helpful for finding activities to attend for us, she also arranged take away breakfast for our early checking-out. There is a forest path on the property. It was like walking a winter wonderland!! It’s a very quiet and peaceful place. I highly recommend anyone who is planning to go to Lapland.
Nothing! Really we love this place!!

Great experience to sleep under the sky with full of stars but unfortunately not much on the northern light for a night stay.We also saw reindeers, horses, squirrel and birds in the surrounding areas which is really pleasant atmosphere.Really nice the packaged also includes breakfast and dinner;)
Water in the shower is not as strong.

Was small and cosy. Had options for activities
You had to pay for a code to use the alert app. I didn’t pay for one so apparently missed the Aurora…. Someone did pay for it and it didn’t work properly….. and they missed the Auroara too! This should be included in the price of accommodation. Possibly have an alert in the rooms for people to know when they appear. I was told the direction of the glass roof is often not in the right place and you’d have to go outside at the back of the cabin to see something.

Room was compact but spacious. Didn't know that breakfast and dinner were included which would have been nice to know for certain so we didn't buy food, but minor gripe. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices on hand. Curtains on the igloo windows meant we weren't woken up by the sun like at some other similar accommodations. There's a couple of nice nearby trails where you can also ride a free bike through, but there are no gears or handbrakes so can be a bit challenging but fun! Afterwards you have to try the traditional sauna, an absolute must-do is to have a dip in the lake afterwards. Staff are very friendly and accommodating; I had left my necklace there after check out but a quick call and they had my necklace at the front desk on my hasty return from the airport. If I could rate them higher I would, thanks for a lovely time and we will be sure to return in future!
Bathroom layout means everything gets wet, make sure you don't put the bathmat down until after you're done and have squeegee'd the floor. More of a hot tip than a gripe.

I really enjoyed being able to lie in bed whilst watching the auroras and stars; the view was magnificent. The cabin itself was warm and toasty, and you can ask the staff to adjust the temperature inside the cabin to your liking. The three course dinner that comes with the cost of this accommodation was very tasty. They changed the menu up every night and no dish was repeated during my 4 night stay. Staff were exceptional and received fantastic service from each and every one of them. Overall, I wish I could have stayed there longer just to continue relaxing in the cabin!
Some cabins have less privacy than others. Unfortunately, I was in one that had less privacy due to the way the glass was facing. The fairy lights around the facility should be turned off to reduce light pollution during the auroras!

This was our second time in that lovely resort and it was again an amazing life experience. We stayed 5 nights this time a bit shorter than last year but still the same quality persists. The cabins are quite comfortable and well-designed. You have everything in the room and it is quite hot. The location is fabulous with many amazing walking routes and great views. It is close to Ivalo village you can walk and visit a couple of coffee shops, restaurants, and markets. I recommend Husky Safari, since ton can drive it yourself. All in all, I recommend visiting this lovely resort.
The breakfast and dinner menus can be improved. Breakfast is always the same.
