Most beautiful location so close to Amboise. We were enchanted by the place. We absolutely loved Olivier, Poppy, and the staff. Going to the Chateau was a dream come true. Olivier was very kind, attentioned, and super knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was very good. Olivier lit a fire in the chimney for us since it was a little chilly that morning. He even lit candles too. I loved listening to the owls hooting at night. This is my kind of place, loaded with character in the best way possible. The grounds were peaceful and beautiful. I enjoyed taking an early morning walk. I wish I could've stayed longer. I felt very happy there. We will return.
Nothing to dislike.

The chateau is a magnificent building full of character. The owner has worked hard to remodel and maintain it in very good condition. Our room for a family of three was very ample and clean. He has pieces of art that makes it feel like home and the views from the windows are picturesque and interesting. The ground has a large green area and intimate places to seat and relax. What I like the most was having breakfast at the front terrace and how close it was to other chateaus to visit.

Our stay in a Junior suite was terrific. The bedroom was spacious, the bathroom modern. The attached sitting room was not big but adequate for our needs. The room was a blend of traditional and modern and had good air conditioning. French breakfast of bread, croissants, fruit, yoghurt, an egg, ham and cheese. Possibly a bit pricey at 17euros each. We loved the swimming pool and expansive grounds and spent one whole day relaxing rather than out touring the sights and had the whole place to ourselves for much of the day. Ludovic, the concierge/ manager had very good English and was very helpful both in terms of our stay in the hotel, and with information on local attractions and help with booking restaurants. It’s a very intriguing chateau. The bigger suites look fantastic. The formal drawing room and dining room could do with a bit of renovation, but still hold charm. The spiral staircases amaze. The back of the ground floor is built into the cliff. Old cliff workings behind and connected to the chateau are interesting to explore being a former quarry and Priory. Apparently there are some plans to redevelop these for more rooms, but it appears that the plans have halted, so there are some aspects of the hotel that appear to be halted/temporary works in progress. Not a negative- added interest.

The breakfast was amazing! There was a chill in the air, so each morning the staff or owner would light a fire in the dining room. So cozy! The grounds were expansive a beautiful.
Unfortunately they had lost their chef the week before and the restaurant was closed for lunch or dinner. This made life a bit tricky because there seemed to only be one taxi into town and it was the Easter weekend. We walked into town Easter Sunday and went to the farmers market, and got delicious food for dinner. It would have been good if the hotel had compensated us in some way for this inconvenience, as they did not alert us that the restaurant would be closed.

The Chateau itself and the grounds are absolutely stunning. The breakfast was very good. The dinner was easily the best we had through our two week stay in France, amazing. Asma (the manager I believe) takes care of your every need, has recommendations for dinner, sites, winery's etc and may be the nicest most helpful person we have come across in the entire hospitality industry. We hope to return in warmer months to enjoy the pool.
The shower was difficult, either you left it on the handle and it didn't get your whole body or your took it off and the bathroom floor gets quite wet.

The chateau is beautiful and being renovated beautifully by its owner the staff are very welcoming and friendly distance from Amboise was good just a short drive very peaceful area and we all relaxed
Breakfast should be included in the price although we all enjoyed having breakfast one person from our group only had a coffee on the second morning as not hungry she paid the full breakfast price as didn’t want to question bill and ruin what was a very enjoyable stay we weren’t sure what the chateau could provide food and drinks? no bar area or menu for drinks in the salon

The rural setting, in fantastic gardens was astounding. The architecture, the mix of modern with historic was and exceptionally interesting for us. The personal greeting by our host made us feel welcomed, especially meeting the resident puppy, a 4 years old, inquisitive, Deutscher Schäferhund. We were treated to a tour of the property, with an explanation of the build, suggestions for a stroll, and a checkin for plans for dinner. Breakfast was well worth waiting for, with a lovely farm style experience, tasting a selection of foods from the property, eaten in front of the fire. Delicious. we will definitely be back. some lovely styling touches, such as the old leather bags, contrasted with the ultra modern yellow leather couch, and industrial look, mine shaft lift. The light fittings along the limestone walls were so intriguing.
I loved it all, however, these are my suggestions. Maybe the carpets in the room could be replaced with a Berber style carpet that doesn’t show the stains? Safe attached to the wall? Wipe out the old wardrobe and dressers with lavender oil, or oil of cloves, as a bit musty and dusty. Some biscuits, maybe local, in the room?

The building was lovely and interesting and the grounds were beautiful. The swimming pool was wonderful and refreshing.
in reviewing my email from Booking.com, it did not state that there was a charge for breakfast. (Under Meal Plan, it said “There is no meal option with this room.”) It was also not mentioned when we checked in. Because we were never told about a charge, it was quite a surprise to be billed nearly a hundred euros for something we assumed was included.

The château was so pretty. It is decorated in a little more modern way but still keeping the ancien charm. The staffs were amazing. The location was perfect if you're driving.
No restaurants around. I have some natural bugs on the ceiling in my room. They weren't dangerous at all and I think that they were attracted by the heat. But this would not be fun if you're scared of bugs.

Lovely Chateau, the staff were fantastic, very helpful and they spoke good English. Lovely grounds, great pool (under the road tunnel), and large bedrooms.
Access was difficult. We arrived by train and found it very difficult to get a taxi. We were saved by the hotel when they organised one for us. The kitchen is currently closed for dinner. The staff helpfully organised bookings in town but without your own car that is tricky (5km from town and too far to walk)
