It's difficult to capture the charm and atmosphere of this place on a picture! From the outside, you enter a really small gate but the inside opens up to a beautiful court surrounded by the different building. We were instantly greeted by the host who showed us around. Our room was placed inside a troglodyte and just outside was a common area with seating that overlooked the Loire valley with Amboise Castle in the distance. The hotel also offers a common area inside with tourist information, a pool table and social areas. We walked to Amboise in the evening (35-40 minutes) but was offered to be driven down due to lack of bicycles and taxi services. To top it off, a swim in the pool was well needed after several hours in the sun. The breakfast was very good offering tea, coffee, bread, croissants, pain au chocolat, yogurt, homemade granola, compotes and jams. I would definitely visit this place again!!!

Everything is perfect! The pool is magical, the forest behind the chateau is gorgeous and the views looking out toward the valley are amazing. The gardens are so relaxing in the evenings. The laundry was so welcomed! The owner Veronique was so gracious and even picked me up at the train station. The location is so close to Amboise yet you are in the country! The staff is amazing and did everything to make my stay incredible especially Christobel! She arranged all of my rides into town and did everything with a smile. The room in the main house with the old bathtub and shower had an amazing view. I hated to leave! I will always stay here when I am lucky enough to return.

Nothing. The stairs to my room were easily overcome when they quickly helped with my bags. if something is not perfect, they will make it so. Amazing.

The property was nestled in a beautiful area and was perfect for our plans to visit chateaux and relax. We loved taking a bottle of wine with a baguette and cheese into one of the lovely gardens, sometimes by ourselves and other times joined by others who were staying there. The whole stay was wonderful!

We were worried at first when we learned that there was no air conditioning ( there was a heat wave when we visited) but it ended up not really bothering us; the owner let us use a fan in the room and it kept us comfortable at night.

Victoria and staff are fantastic and went well out of their way to ensure we had a great time. We rented the annex which was much more than needed for 2 adults, but we enjoyed the kitchen to be able to prepare a few meals at home. The swimming pool felt wonderfully refreshing after a long day in the sun and 80 degree temperatures. The breakfast room was beautiful and so delicious; best croissants from our whole trip! Gorgeous view across the valley, especially sunrise with multiple hot air balloons dotting the horizon.

There were some bugs, especially after leaving the screenless windows open at night, but the cool, fresh air was wonderful so worth it. The parking is tricky in the walled garden so a smaller vehicle would work better.

Beautiful Place, very relaxing, nice pool, charming atmosphere, good french breakfast. Nice walking distance to Amboise (40 minutes along "Platan road") taisty dinner with glass of wine. Parking is narrow but doable and enough places for all guests

Welcomed by Veronique, the owner, with the pleasant sound of a fountain and our bikes at the ready for exploring ... in this superb Château de Nazelles, we had a wonderful time using the lovely gardens and perfect swimming pool to relax and catch-up with our international family many of whom we hadn't seen since before the Covid! Veronique let us use the tables in the garden to have 2 family dinners which we organised under the moonlight which was enchanting! There was also the service of a cafe/bar when we needed food or drinks which was useful. Lovely quiet breakfast room serving a good breakfast with organic products and homemade jams :)

I have one slight regret - that our room was not with the rest of the family, opening onto the gardens or courtyard.

This is what travelling through France and staying in lovely boutique hotels is all about! We were five men on motorcycles for only one night but the owner greeted us and showed us about like we were treasured guests! The property is just lovely, and spotlessly clean. A GREAT spot for a family with the 2br guest cottage.

Just make sure you plan your arrival as is is tucked away up the hill. Not a problem, just plan ahead!

Everything … beautiful buildings, charming gardens, lovely pool and comfortable bedrooms. Delicious breakfast of local products. Amazing location close to Amboise but very quiet. So much to see and do.

Beautiful property

Didn’t realise it was so far from restaurants for dinner - we also were not informed that we could have ordered tapas for dinner which would have been lovely to have in the garden.

We were welcomed at this very charming chateau by it’s owner, Veronique. Her attention to details translates into a very comfortable stay. We loved the elegant breakfasts set in a very elegant room. Highly recommended. If your seeking French country charm, look no further.
