Great location. 20 min walk into centre and near beautiful river walk. Lovely property with nice garden and beautifully furniture and space internally. Host very helpful. Breakfast superb.

The villa is a beautiful period French Town House, lovingly restored 3 years ago by the owner Martine. It is located just outside town 20 minutes walk to the historic centre. A generous home mage buffet breakfast is included. Martine is très charmante and a lovely hostess.

Unfortunately Martine speaks no English, but I have enough French so we could understand each other.

Incredibly beautiful place, very friendly reception, excellent breakfast where you order almost everything you like: freshly squeezed orange juice, omelette, croissants, self-made chocolate cake!... Unbelievable! The person who runs the place absolutely wishes to make guests feel comfortable and satisfied. Unfortunately, as we are not that often in the region, to come again but we highly recommend!

I cannot find a thing! :-) We knew upfront it is 15 minutes walk to the old town.

We had a wonderful stay at the Villa Aristide and Martine, our hostess. was extremely accommodating and friendly. We decided against eating out and instead bought food for a picnic and Martine set up a table for us outside with everything we needed for a leisurely al fresco meal. Breakfast was delicious with a wide range of food; the home-made yogurts and jams were particularly tasty. Our bedroom and bathroom were beautifully decorated - as is the rest of the house - and the bed was extremely comfortable. We would definitely recommend Villa Aristide and would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Villa Aristide is a beautifully decorated manor house with unique personality and charm. Thanks to the owner, we felt the human and aesthetic touch, part classic, part whimsy. The historic house is situated on the edge of Bergerac, a 10-15 minutes by foot along the riverwalk. Breakfast is delicious, the gardens equally sweet. Advice about Bergerac restaurants, which are excellent and good value, is impeccable. Highly recommended.

Martine our hostess was so welcoming and helpful. Her breakfasts were delicious , varied and often homemade. Location brilliant, can walk along river to Bergerac. Would need a car for exploring the area.

This was such a beautiful property and Martine was the best host. All home made the breakfast was one of the best we’ve had and set in very elegant surroundings! Despite not speaking each other’s language we still managed to get by and Martine was warm and welcoming and even arranged her lovely partner to drop us off at the airport when we left. Bergerac is a very pretty town and I’d highly recommend staying at the Villa Astride!

cleanliness snd standards exceptional large bedroom with very comfy bed En-suite was amazing - even had room freshener and cotton pads! breakfast was delightful and always freshly prepared. Host goes over and beyond expectations to ensure your stay is special.

- Location is not central - but only a 5 min drive from historic part of Bergerac - Soundproofing between floors not great (this is to be expected for this kind of property) - Decoration is tasteful and elegant, but seems a little feminine - again, part of the charm and character **All of the above are matters of taste, not faults with this property**

Martine is awonderful kind host.her home is beautiful and a very home from home feel. Breakfasts were amazing,everything homemade too ,a rare gem in every way.We wish we couldve stayed longer.
