Clean and well decorated

Travelled alone slept in a dorm - showers en-suite however it’s an open air cubicle, no locks for cubicles, part of door is translucent (opaque middle section), no dry area to hang clothes in shower… fine if you’re traveling with family but it was strange to know that my room mates could hear every movement I made in the shower while washing myself, also no where to put clothes, and that they could also easily just open the shower door… also no windows as in basement.

Great place to stay. Location is on point, easy to access (close to train and bus station as well as major roads), easy access to may facilities and places to go, such as Les Arcs (trails or train), Col du Forclaz, Col du petit St Bernard, aquatic center, town center with many shops, ... Room is large for 10 people, and features 2 washrooms with in total 3 showers and 2 toilets, a fridge, a dishwasher, 2 cooking plates, most ustensiles to eat, a TV....

Beds could be slightly upgraded for a better sleep. Storage room, particularly in the kitchen, should probably be expanded. Curtains on the beds would help to avoid being woken up randomly. And some basics needed to be bought for the kitchen, such as hand towel, or ustensiles drier.

Friendly staff who helped us store our luggage efficiently while we were away. One of the staff members knew quite a lot about the village and gave us recommendations. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Well-rounded in English, overall. Very close to village center and supermarkets.

A staff member kept directing to my French fiancée even though I asked the questions or started conversations in French (happened on 2 occasions with same employee). Can be annoying to be ignored like that because of an accent (or for any reasons, actually). Easily fixed with some staff training. Room WiFi was bad so it's not a place to work from. The difference between north and south sides are not all that different. Actually, our view to the north seemed better than when we got the south. Luckily we didn't have to pay the extra charge for the south side - courtesy of the hotel.

Awesome Hotel. Perfect location very close to the centre of Bourg Saint-Maurice, very cheap, parking spots for free, close to the train station and groceries. Dorms are the best I've ever been to, period. Per dorm: showers, washrooms, kitchen with fridge, cooking spot, oven, microwave, dishwasher, table to eat, and cooking tools. Great view on Les Arcs as well.

Not much! I was in a dorm, so some nights were harder than others depending on who was in the other beds, but that's the random life and "price" to pay when being in a dorm after all! The restaurant of the hotel is quite pricey as well, sadly.

Second visit to Base Camp Lodge which was as good as the first. Excellent, friendly and fun staff with great facilities (underground parking is brilliant). Views from the excellent restaurant are beautiful and the room is modern and comfortable. Be aware that there is no AC for the summer, but thats all I could take issue with and its splitting hairs! will always stay here when visiting Bourg. Fantastic hotel.

On the edge of town but within easy walking distance. It was a "no-frills" room but this is fairly reflected in the price. Decent bar and restaurant, good breakfast offered. Large terrace with a view of the surrounding mountains. Plenty of staff around, all seemed helpful. Free parking for my motorcycle was arranged in the garage wich was much appreciated. I would be happy to return on some future tour.

The layout of the hotel seemed a bit odd and took a bit of getting used too. My room 3XX was on sub-level 3 and was accessed through the underground car park. I met many fellow travellers down there trying to find their way to their room or up to the reception / amenities. Some additional or improved signage would not go amiss or maybe a painted walkway between the lift to the foyer and the -3 rooms.

The place feels like a hotel. Its kind of mix of hostel and hotel. Very easy to navigate, offers all kind of services. Restaurant in the same building. Staff was happy to speak English to me. Rooms were clean and had everything one could need!

The room was underground, felt like no air was changing. I was sweating at night because so hot. Wet towel on my head helped though, and finally I slept fine. I was also put together as a young woman with only one middle aged man (dormitory). Felt a little bit unsafe. Usually dormitories have more people than two and are rarely underground.

We didn't have breakfast as we had an early start after spending one night in the hotel. But we ate dinner there and that was excellent - thank you The staff were all very friendly. We had live entertainment during our dinner which was great too. All round would recommend this place and also like to come back. The views were great!

We didn’t have breakfast there as the dinner that we had there on our first evening was not very good. My steak was VERY grisly, I had to chew for ages and then swallow the big lumps of gristle that remained, really unpleasant. My partner had Beef cheeks in a stew with vegetables, which was unseasoned, very fatty and very bland vegetables.

The fact that the toilet door was just a frosted glass door matched the shower door, meaning that it didn’t go up to the ceiling to enclose the room looked cool, but in practical terms wasn’t a good idea for obvious reasons, the door did nothing to mask sounds and odours!! When one of us had to use it, the other had to go out onto the balcony and shut that door for the sake of the others privacy.

the room is very spacious. it's surprised that there is the kitchen in the dormitory room ! the hotel is just 10 mins by walking from the train station.

the toilet should be fully separated from the dorm. when we have different schedule, sometimes it is quite annoying.
