Thank you for a lovely stay. We were very satisfied with our visit. It's a super cozy little hotel and we had a lovely, large, beautifully furnished double room with a wonderful view of the old castle. The lovely breakfast was served in the gorgeous courtyard. Here we also enjoyed a cup of tea when we got home from an excursion. Great with a coffee maker in the room and water in the fridge to take on a trip. We felt well taken care of during our entire stay. Bedst regards Morten og Dorthe

Great location next to the River Aude, so a short walking distance to both the old and new town. The staff Amelie and Rachel were excellent and very accommodating. There was a lovely varied continental breakfast each morning, and a fridge was available 24/7 which contained fresh cold water and water bottles for residents to use. Due to the extremely hot weather(39 degrees) Rachel had filled the fridge with some cold soft drinks and cooling mist sprays, which was a lovely touch.

On our visit Carcassone the temperature hit 39 degrees and unfortunately since the building is an old townhouse the rooms don’t have air conditioning. However there were two fans in the room but it was still uncomfortable at night for sleeping.

What a gem of a place. Gorgeous townhouse with a real French feel to it. Beautiful room, wonderful breakfast which was slightly different every day. Communal fridge with readily stocked drinking water in flasks for us to take then refill. Rachel even put iced tea and face spritzes in there when the temperature got too hot! Great location, positioned between the new tins and the medieval city. Rachel recommended L’escargot to eat at- wonderful and was our saviour when our bike ride went a bit wrong. Amelie also bent over backwards to help us. All in all, incredible place that just looked after you right from the start. Thank you so much 🇫🇷🌷

It’s an old building so no air conditioning when temperatures hit 39 degrees. Fans were provided though. What a relief.

Very comfortable, faithfully restored, accommodation, with substantial breakfasts, which were a work of art each morning. Tea making facilities, with a range of teas, in the breakfast room, plus a coffee machine in the room. Affable and totally helpful staff, Rachael, Mark and Amelie. The initial map and local guide were very helpful and all our, sometimes obscure, questions, were knowledgeably answered. The location, situated equidistant between the mediaeval Cite and the more modern Bastide, is very helpful, with lots of interesting walks available.

The area of the townhouse feels safe. Post dinner, lights in the side streets had been turned off.

We were met by our hosts Rachel & Mark and were immediately made to feel welcome. Full of information about the area, bars, restaurants and things to do. The Townhouse is in a perfect spot for both the town and the Cite. The accommodation has been lovingly restored and the decor and feel the the whole place was very sympathetic to the period of the building. We had the suite with balcony overlooking the river and the Cite on the hill and it was perfect. Their is no air conditioning and the evenings were very warm but, fans were supplied, and it certainly didn't detract from the stay. Breakfast was excellent. Cheeses, ham, delicious fromage frais with honey, breads and pastries, coffee and tea. All served by Amalia who was always happy to provide more to the table if requested and also very helpful with local information and ready to assist with any queries. She also arranged for a small packed breakfast as we were leaving early on the last day. In all a perfect place to stay in Carcassonne. Thank you.

Lovely and clean place to stay - the room was spotless with fresh crisp bedding - excellent traditional breakfast extremely fresh and slightly different everyday - with other items available upon request . The English owner Rachael is a delight as is all her staff. Nothing is too much trouble here and everybody goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is the best possible - very informative of the area and happy to help.

Only negative perhaps a mini fridge in your room? There is a fridge in the breakfast area where the staff ensure there is plenty of filtered water that you can use also providing sustainable/reusable bottles that you can replenish and take with you either to your room or whilst out and about. Perhaps if there was a bigger fridge there could be boxes with room numbers on so that guests could put other items in there for their personal use?

We had room two which was a wonderful double room on the first floor. The room was light, large and airy as was the en-suite bathroom. Rachel is a lovely hostess and takes the time to chat and provide location information. Our check in was smoothly handled by Emily who also gave us loads of information on the town. All in all we were made to feel truly welcome and the accommodation provided was excellent. Breakfast was a treat - beautifully presented and consisting of delicious croissants, bread, cheese, salami, fruit, yoghurts, granola, juice, coffee and tea. Excellent WiFi. Nearby on street parking not exclusive to the house but there seemed to be enough of it to get a place.

Nothing to say here.

Where to start! Exceptionally comfortable, brilliantly located for both the new and old parts of the city plus transport links and exceptional owners/ staff. A traditional French townhouse with accommodation designed to reflect the region, a delightful breakfast room and shaded garden. The owners made you feel so comfortable and couldn’t have been more accommodating and helpful so that you came to feel you were “home” rather than in holiday accommodation! An absolute delight and highly recommended.

Nothing.

Fantastic location in between the Cite and the Bastide, next to the river with lovely views of the castle. The townhouse was authentically and comfortably decorated so a pleasure to stay there. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were excellent. I’d recommend

Everything was excellent. A waste bin and tissues in the room would have been useful but I’m scraping the bottom of the barrel to find anything else I’d change!

Great location, everything is within walking distance, comfortable, clean and homely. Great service, Amelie was very attentive and informative, provided bus times for a day at the lake, also towels and our airport taxi with a pack up for the return. Nice touches included the water bottles, tea & coffee and even wine facilities.Breakfast was also excellent with an individually prepared platter of fresh continental items. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay.
