Spacious, clean, and modern room ideally located in a quiet Street within an easy walking distance from the town centre and the chateau. Denise was an excellent host, who was always happy to assist us with suggestions of very good restaurants in Carcassonne and other general enquiries. She also prepared us a very good breakfast each morning The terrace overlooking the chateau was an added bonus (I particularly enjoyed sitting there in the evening with a glass of wine from the hosts vineyard, sold at a very reasonable price!)

No complaints at all about the accommodation or the host Denise who we found to be very nice and helpful. The one issue I did have was the taxi ordered for the airport when we left, which we were told would be around 8 Euros, which I thought would be about right, possibly a bit low for the 5km journey. However, the taxi driver seemed to take us on a much longer route around the ring-roads of Carcassone and the meter ended up at 26 Euros, which I thought was excessive for what was meant to be a 5km trip! Obviously this wasn't Denise's fault.

The property, location, facilities and hosts were second to none! Its a small, but perfectly formed B&B. Denise, the host, couldn't do enough for us but neither did she impose in any way. Beautiful setting with the Citie behind which we could see from our bedroom and terrace while having breakfast and we were a few minutes into town for the beautiful shops and cafes. The interior decoration, including Denise’s artwork, was simply beautiful and tasteful. The breakfast was perfect. A range of different things to eat were on offer including fruit, fresh bread and croissants, yoghurt, cheeses, fruit juice and a selection of teas and coffees. Can't fault the place. Highly recommended and worth every penny!!!

Everything about the residence was exceptional and exactly what we were looking for. The location was a quiet residential street just on the river, halfway between the Medieval city and the more contemporary shopping and restaurant area. It was also around the corner from the Saturday market and the bus stop for the airport. Everything about the accommodation was first class. Room size, decor, facilities - guests have a dedicated balcony overlooking the city and access to a garden with private pool. The substantial continental breakfast also set you up for the day, Our hosts could not have been more welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we had a most comfortable stay. A special thanks to madam who still ensured we has breakfast served before our very early flight. The family also own their own small vineyard in the area and will sell you marvellous wine at a bargain price if you are having lunch or just want a drink to to admire the view from the balcony in the evening. Thoroughly recommend their Sauvignon.

Perfect location within easy walking distance to all tourist attractions. Airport shuttle bus drop off/pick up point is a five minute walk from the property. Very comfortable accommodation with high standard of cleanliness. Lovely continental breakfast provided each morning on the balcony overlooking the medieval city. The garden and pool area was beautifully maintained and provided a lovely spot to relax and sunbathe. The owner was most helpful and recommended several local good restaurants which we found to be 1st class. I would have no hesitation returning to this property and would most definitely recommend to friends and family who are looking for wonderful French hospitality in a lovely location.

Fabulous location. Denise was so lovely and welcoming . She gave us great recommendations for restaurants and couldn't have been more helpful and kind. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and comfortable.. Breakfast was excellent with a wonderful view of the citè from the balcony. There was a quiet pool area; this place had everything you would need for a relaxing break in a beautiful city.

Good location near airport shuttle stop "le Dome" so between the main town and city. Host Denise was great and very helpful. Only 2 rooms let out with access to a private shared balcony and pool so generally very quiet with great city views. Accomodation very clean and fitted to a good standard We had a lovely back route across the river and through parks to the old city - we paid €9.50 each to access the castle ramparts that was well worth it as you get to see a lot more although plenty to access for free The Bastide market on Saturdays in the main town was also fascinating. Would highly recommend for a city break.

Denise & Lulu are excellent hosts. Attentive, helpful & friendly. The breakfast was excellent as was Lulu’s wine (especially the red). The rooms are big and nicely furnished. The kitchen between the two rooms is very handy. The balcony/terrace has outstanding views of the Cite. The pool & garden are also lovely and perfect for a period of relaxation after a day of exploring. Restaurant recommendations were very helpful. The location is excellent , equidistant between the Cite and Carcassonne.

Sur le Quai is a charming property, perfectly situated between the medieval city and the Bastide. It is clean, very comfortable and the view from the deck, where a delicious breakfast is served each morning, is superb. The pool is also a bonus, especially during the recent heatwave. The hosts, Denise and her husband, are the most welcoming, helpful, friendly people and that really made our stay. Nothing is too much trouble for Denise, from restaurant recommendations to booking taxis - would definitely recommend.

This is a beautiful place - spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The location is quiet, but central for exploring all of Carcassonne. Denise is wonderful, and made us feel extremely welcome. Breakfast was delicious, and it was lovely to have the pool, as it was very hot during our visit! Cannot recommend it highly enough!

Nothing - everything was perfect!

This was our first time in this type of establishment but were positively impressed from the binging. Our host Denise was so nice. She gave us lot of suggestions for visiting the region and for dining. The breakfast she prepared was delicious and different every day, The room was comfy and nice and the property very well located to allow to walk to go anywhere. Everything mint! the weather was not right for swimming but I was tempted... The view over the Castle priceless - a place to return.
