We arrived at lunchtime on bikes, and the staff were very helpful storing our luggage putting our bikes in a safe place. This allowed us to explore the city during the afternoon with no worries about possessions on inconvenience. It was really nice to be looked after like this. While to restaurant was closed, we were given an excellent recommendation for dinner at a local venue. One small touch - the staff could have made us a booking at the recommended restaurant. Breakfast was exceptionally good, and served early, which was helpful. The local produce was first class.

Restaurant at the hotel was closed and no offer to book at recommended restaurant for dinner was made - only a small thing. Room two floors up and no lift was a minor inconvenience. Some recommendations on what tourist activities to do during a short break would have been good - we saw the son et lumiere at the Cathedral, but only by chance and it was a once in a lifetime experience!

The room was lovely and clean, the bed was very comfortable we slept well after a long journey. The location is perfect opposite the station (although we travelled by car) and walking distance from the cathedral. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as we had other arrangements. The hotel offers a secure covered car park which for us was very important. In general we found the staff always very helpful and pleasant. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

The only drawback was the absence of a lift, but we knew about it and the staff helped us to carry the luggage.

we have stayed at this hotel many times and have always booked a parking space via email through booking .com the hotel always contacts me by telephone or voice message to confirm my booking and parking space . on my last stay I had no such message and when I arrived at the hotel I was advised there was no parking space . this was very inconvenient and stressful after a long drive. it was particularly disappointing that the hotel did not advise me of the lack of parking within the cancellation period.

The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is just across from the railway station so is perfect for those arriving by train. The breakfast is shared with the adjacent restaurant/hotel and is excellent. My room was at the front of the building, but the noise level was small and not intrusive. I had read that as it is a small hotel they do not have a lift and so I had requested a room on the first floor which the management had arranged for me which I appreciated. All the staff including breakfast staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is only 10 mins walk from the Cathedral. Would gladly stay here again.

The lack of a lift might prove difficult if placed on a higher floor and the stairs are fairly steep, but as mentioned the staff were happy to accommodate my request.

The location of this hotel is right in the very centre of Chartres with easy access to the cathedral, art museum, shopping and restaurants in abundance. The breakfast was outstanding. We had chosen a room on the top floor with exposed beams, which we like. The room (and I guess the rest of the hotel) had been refurbished to a high standard. Excellent paint work and tiling all over, the bed full sized (180 cm wide) with a comfortable mattress, the shower perfect quality, but the space could be more generous. This hotel is amalgamated with the neighbouring hotel (joined buildings) and we could therefore benefit from a beautiful art deco style bar and associated bar room. For piece of mind the hotel offers private indoor parking for a fee of Euros 10 per day.

Location very central. Breakfast was the best we've experienced for a long time. Fantastic! Stayed twice within 9 days. First room was newly renovated, very modern, spacious, comfortable and the bathroom had a bath and shower! Second room (in adjoining building) totally different, having exposed beams and a very low chandelier that was face height! Only a shower but very good. Both rooms had excellent beds but first room was our favourite and quieter. No lift, so if you have mobility problems you may prefer somewhere else.

The staff were excellent. Friendly and efficient and nice room and very convenient for Chartres old town.

My main problem with the hotel was the absolutely awful Wi-Fi. Really slow, constantly dropping out. It really is unacceptable when travellers are so dependent on it for communications and making arrangements for onward travel. I didn’t complain at the time to be fair, but I was sceptical that anything could’ve been done

Good location right opposite the rail station and within walking distance of the cathedral. We had a family room (1x double and 1x single) which was a good size. Comfortable bed. The breakfast looked very good with a good selection but we hadn't booked breakfast.

No lift. No water provided in the room. No room for us to park at the hotel (our fault as we didn't reserve) so had to pay 20euros to park overnight in nearest multi-storey car park (which was within walking distance). Staff (especially the gentleman on shift when we arrived) not particularly friendly.

Very clean and comfortable family suite. Great to have two separate bedrooms, one for myself and my husband and one for our children, but connected within one room. Despite the fact we were on the top (third floor) on a hot day at the end of July, it was very cool and comfortable with the air con. Beds were made up perfectly with clean and comfortable bedding. The buffet continental breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice. Our children loved it so much they asked to go back just for the breakfast. Location was superb, very central and easy to walk to some nice restaurants. Good to have parking on site at the back of the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful and carried our bags upstairs given we were on the third floor.

I can't think of anything we didn't like about this hotel. We would definitely stay again.

We arrived early but were immediately welcomed and shown where to park the car, we had booked parking before arriving and this is advisable as the parking area is not large. All staff were very pleasant and one went the extra mile at breakfast bringing items,which had run out,to the table when ready .

It would have been good if we had been informed that the restaurant Le Jehan was closed, especially as it was advertised both on the webwsite and the paperwork in our room. However we found a great little place, Tomate et Piment, just up the road. Also it was a little confusing that they seem to have combined two hotels Les Poemes and Jehan de Beauce, both using the same staff and area for breakfast.
