The friendly and attentive staff. The room was very clean and cleaned every day. We loved the swimming pool, as not many in the area have them. The breakfasts were excellent in terms of variety and quality. Our room was air conditioned which made it very comfortable. There are lots of artworks on display. It is very close to the beach, just one street back from the sea front and a couple of minutes walk. The resort of Chatelaillon is brilliant, lots of places for us to eat and a beautiful wide and sandy beach.

There was little space for hanging clothes and it was not possible to hang a full length dress. To improve this the desk could be removed and replaced with more wall shelving and wardrobe space.

A calm, relaxing and well-appointed boutique hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Breakfast was delicious, although of continental options only, and sitting out on the terrace by the pool first thing in the morning to eat it was a fantastic start to the day. The bar was well stocked, and with a few 'snack' options available.

The room was on the small size, especially for a longer stay. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, and the bar closed at 8pm, so there were no food or drink options after this.

Really good small hotel run by a very friendly and helpful family. Plenty of nice bars and restaurants plus the beach are all working a couple of minutes walk. La Rochelle 15 mins by car.

Private parking is only available until 10.00pm so if you intend to go out for dinner and return any later it isn’t worth paying the extra. There is however plenty of parking outside and the area is quiet and safe.

A continental breakfast with a good selection on offer which could be taken inside or out on the terrace. Also the timings of 8-10 are very agreeable to holiday makers

The owners have worked very hard to create a comfortable and efficient hotel and I am not sure if anything could be better

Location, short stroll to the beach, very clean and a lovely pool. The room was excellent although a little compact.

Bar closes at 8, there are others in walking distance but it would have been nice to have a late drink at the hotel, I would like to suggest some kind of self service honesty bar if possible as I understand the costs of staffing.

Very pleasant stay and very friendly staff

The room was on the second floor and no lift, which was a little inconvenient as my husband and I found it a little difficult as we both have heart conditions (we are 80 and 78 years of age)quite fit but find 4 flights of stairs leaving us breathless, especially when carrying luggage too. We were not aware when we booked that there was no lift. Also, our room had a sloping ceiling, so getting out of bed on one side of the bed was a head banging experience!

A wonderful week in Chatelaillon-Plage in this beautiful little hotel. Immaculately clean, comfortable and friendly. Lovely breakfasts. Fredrick and Céline were perfect hosts and all the staff excellent. Highly recommended!! Noel and Linda.

This hotel exceeded my expectations because it was such good value and so well cared for. From the fresh, constantly stocked breakfast to the lovely clean pool and spotless room. It was obvious that it was a family run hotel and they were extremely helpful and pleasant. I only wish that I wasn't staying there for work and could have enjoyed a bit more leisure time.

There were very few sun loungers at the pool but this isn't really that big an issue.

Air con in bedroom is good but simple instruction for turning it on in the room would be a good idea. A very small button needs to be pushed on the edge of the control panel not obvious.

Room was small and on the top floor. Recommend you reserve parking at the hotel for which there is a charge. It is a busy beach town and as one road back from the beach although parking is free difficult to find space on a sunny day.

Céline et Frédéric were so friendly--the best part was chatting with them and the staff. The room, though a bit small, was very comfortable and air-conditioned. Though the breakfasts were delicious, I thought they were included, that was my only misunderstanding. Otherwise, perfect location and very cozy.
