You stay in a separate converted barn building with your own little living/dinning room with wood burning stove. Bedroom upstairs with an excellent bathroom. You feel private but have your breakfast in the very charming farmhouse just a few metres away. Perfect arrangement. Excellent breakfast, friendly owner. Good comms with owner too.

We had a fabulous stay at La Maison du Bucheron. Our host Madeleine, was really friendly and helpful, even booking us a table at the local restaurant for the evening of our arrival. The accommodation was cosy and quaint having a lovely log burner fireplace. It was completely equipped for everything we needed. There was a bedroom and bathroom upstairs and a huge tv. The following morning we had a superb breakfast in the main house served up by Madeleine consisting of enormous fresh croissants and fresh crusty baguette with homemade jams, along with their own fresh apple juice. Parking at the property was a bonus too!

There is only one thing we can think of for improvement, is signage to the property. We didn't really notice the sign for the house when we arrived, so a larger sign or another placed in a more visible place would be great.

The host was fantastic and greeted us with delicious fresh homemade apple juice. The place is idyllic in the heart of the French countryside. The breakfast was completely gorgeous. The people and the surroundings were the absolute antithesis to the city and a fast paced modern life. We were only sad that we stayed there just one night. It went so quickly that is was as if we dreamt it.

Lovely, comfortable little house for two people in a very quiet location. The wood burning stove was already lit for my arrival. There's a small kitchen area, but sufficiently well equipped to make meals. Generous selection at breakfast, with very friendly hosts who spent time to chat and give details on places to see in the area.

Nothing really, everything was fine for my stay.

we liked everything but in particular the fact that it was in the middle of a nature oasis. abolite quiet and silence. The accommodation was cosy and fully comfortable with all facilities. breakfast was very good with fresh bread and home made jams, great coffee. It was a pleasure to chat with our host!

I’d say it is difficult to find something to dislike. if one wants to be excessively negative, perhaps the bathroom was a bit small but nevertheless very functional. the property is about 15’ drive to restaurants so this main be a very minor downside.

Such a nice, cosy place - we were very happy to be there. Romantic atmosphere. Nice/friendly people. Very helpful attitude. Great/delicious French breakfast. We really enjoyed the last evening of our 2-week vacation.

Self contained and very comfortable. It looks small but has a good size bedroom and en-suite upstairs and a lounge/dining area downstairs with a small kitchen facility. I have attached my little watercolour.

You can have privacy in the small cottage with a kitchenette. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. A nice breakfast in the beautiful room.

Cute 300 year old woodcutters home next to the owners home. Wonderful, relaxing stay in the French countryside. Hosts were wonderful providing breakfast, juice and friendly conversation. If I'm ever back here I will stay again as it was a true French experience.
