We traveled from Paris to Lyon and surrounding towns on our way to drop kids at overnight camp. We stayed two nights. The property is beautiful and very well kept. The food was excellent! I would suggest dining there at least once on your stay. Both owners speak English. I highly recommend contacting the owners before you book. There are great advantages to this. We stayed with our 11 year old twins. They enjoyed breakfast and dinner very much. The pool was fantastic and the kids had a great time swimming and pushing each other in. Call before you book - even if you are booking last minute. Enjoy your stay!!

We loved our stay at Domaine de l’Oiseau. It is a beautiful and peaceful setting in nature. The rooms are stylish and very comfortable. The swimming pool was an inviting relief from the warmth, and dinner was an experience not to be missed; amazing attention to detail. Breakfast on the terrace was delicious. Hosts, Sheena and John, were most welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend.

Absolutely lovely setting with kind, knowledgeable owners! The setting is calming and tranquil with a lovely pool and beautiful trees. Sheena and John serve a beautiful breakfast each morning and we had dinner at the hotel one evening g (highly recommended). the best wines we had in Burgundy were those chosen by Sheena and John. On day one we used the Hotel bicycles and on day two Sheena arranged bikes for us, a pick up at the end of the ride, as well as a ride to a new starting point on day three. Couldn’t recommend this activity more for seeing the vineyards. The rooms are nicely decorated with a great bed and luxurious bedding and surroundings.

Just wonderful stay! From the moment you arrive and are greeted with such care and attention to the moment you leave and are asked if you had a good trip, Sheena and John are special. I felt part of the place, a city person. My birthday was celebrated with a dinner so divine that I felt like being welcomed into the house of old friends (who cook wonderfully!). I am thankful for this experience! Furthermore to be welcomed at breakfast with a big smile and a very sincere good morning and to taste croissants, breads, jams and fruits so fresh is sublime, makes your day already very good. All the tips they gave us were sensational. I booked two nights, however I didn't want to leave anymore and ended up staying one more (I just didn't stay longer because I really needed to go back). The accommodations are perfect, the cleanliness is impeccable and the richness of the details make us feel special. The decor is very tasteful and alll the things have great quality. In addition to that, the shower is wonderful and the bed is so comfortable that is difficult to get up. I have no words enough to describe the view. It's a place to come back again and again. Sheena and John we miss you already! I definitely recommend!!!

Everything was just perfect!

Not sure where to start with my praise for this fantastic Bed & Breakfast. Probably with the owners, Sheena and John who are the greatest hosts ever. They are most welcoming and make sure that the guests immediately feel at home. They have taken over this property not so long ago and transformed it into a wonderful cosy and very beautiful place. Not only our room but also the other rooms and facilities, which John has kindly showed us, were tasteful and showed a great attention to detail. I could also hardly believe how comfortable the beds were. Needless to say that everything was extremely clean. We also had dinner here and I have to say that we had the impression to be in a high end restaurant. This is even more remarkable as we have asked for a vegetarian menue. The breakfast was amazing too and left nothing to be desired. As for the location of the B&B: This was great fo us as well as it is situated in a little quiet village in between Beaune and Chalon sûr Saône, two places we wanted to visit. We'd love to come back in summer in order to use the lovely garden and pool as well.

It will be quite difficult to find such a lovely place anywhere else.

Just returned from a fabulous stay at this property. It was our base for a cycling trip around the area, and a real pleasure to return to each day, as it had everything you could want for a relaxing afternoon after a fair few miles in the saddle. Couple all this with super hosts, I can therefore throughly recommend this property to anyone requiring a relaxing break in the beautiful heart of France.

The bedroom and whole property along with fabulous food, which was all prepared and served by the super hosts…good wine choices too.

We stayed with John and Sheena for 4 nights in the king room with garden view. Upon arrival we had a warm welcome and we’re shown across the property and our room by Sheena, followed by a nice glass of wine by the pool, served by John. Whereas sometimes you need some time to let things settle, it only takes a couple of seconds to get into that nice holiday feeling at Domaine de l’oiseau. The rooms are large, nice and have a cosy feeling to them making you feel at home in a heartbeat. A fine detail for quality is immediately noticeable by providing premium products (soaps, .. ) We had the pleasure of staying multiple nights, thus enjoying multiple diners with a variety in the menu, planches and breakfast. In short: Lovely food & wine served by lovely people with an impeccable service. (small hint: do try the limoncello, homemade and to die for, we even had the pleasure of being able to buy a bottle to take home with us) Although we had a bit of unusual bad weather so chilling by the pool was not always possible. Sheena was quick to come up with some ideas and places we could visit in the area. Overall we found this place to be a gem in Gergy and we will definitely be coming back as returning guests!

All our meals taken at the property were freshly prepared and absolutely delicious and the presentation was of an extremely high standard. The grounds are lovely and the pool was perfect for a refreshing dip after a day of cycling. The bed was incredibly comfortable and all the linen was so soft and inviting! Sheena and John were wonderful, welcoming hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with friends, exploring and cycling through the beautiful surrounding countryside and towns of Burgundy.
