We were very impressed by the dinner which was of a very high standard. Breakfast was not quite so good but still enjoyable.

The cabinet to keep then bacon and eggs hot was set too high which resulted in the eggs being dry and as there was nowhere to rest the cutlery it was left in the cabinet and was too hot to hold. This was the only fault we could find and does not detract from our very high opinion of Le Rive Gauche. We will definitely visit it again.

We stopped here en route to Dieppe and great location by the river. Really quiet and beautiful. Bed was really comfortable and the room was a reasonable size. There was a funny bleach smell in the room when we arrived but it went after we opened the window. Lovely meal in the restaurant and the town is really quaint.

Everything! The Rive Gauche is on the "other side" of the fabulous Saint Lucy Spa, and I was expecting something a little less. This establishment has everything to be proud of, including the wonderful gardens and view I had from my room. I would recommend this as your starting point for your barge holiday. You will not be disappointed, unless you just must stay on the "rive droit"

Oh, probably so many things, but the Rive Gauche was what I wanted, but didn't expect.

The hotel and its beautiful park are located at the shore of the river, just beautiful. Rooms are comfy and nicely sized. The restaurant is very busy on weekends, the food is incredible with lots of choices. Breakfast is nice, a little pricy though. We stayed there twice and I would go back anytime. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel on the banks of the river is one of the most beautiful I have visited. In addition, the grounds are vast and include delightful features such as the pond. Parking is secure behind closed gates. Breakfast is copious and very good (orange-squeezing machine!)

Nothing really but it is hard to find a meal in Joigny if the hotel restaurant is closed or offers only too large meals.
