Great location opposite the Cathedral with a fabulous restaurant and open on a Sunday night - we think it may have been the only one in Laon! We enjoyed an excellent meal with an impressive selection of very good wines. The rooms were very comfortable, warm, clean and modern - generous supply of coffee and tea in the room. Parking was easy wasn't a problem. Highly recommended!

There was quite a lot of noise from the street very early in the morning and the light outside the hotel shone brightly through the blind into our room - thankfully I had a sleep mask and we all managed to get back to sleep after the noise disturbance! We found the pillows a little hard but this may just be our preference.

Fantastic location and very friendly and welcoming owners. Be prepared to park on the road nearby, quite safe as the location seems very quiet at night.

I find getting breakfasts in France quite tricky as I can't tolerate gluten or dairy. I was offered fruit and a hot drink which was great but would have been even better if there had been eggs on offer as in some Logis hotels. I can't fault the attitude of the staff though.

Terrific location central in the old part of Laon opposite the truly wonderful cathedral. Welcoming friendly staff, a comfortable room and bed. All we needed for a great stop on the way to Calais. Very good breakfast and an excellent dinner at the linked restaurant. Parking readily available - needs a disc before 18.00, from the tourist office opposite the hotel.

Nothing much - the street lighting is quite bright but most rooms have both curtains and blinds.

The hotel and restaurant were a tribute to the family who run and own it. It seemed to us that a lifetime's work, thought and care had gone into both. Everything from the furniture to the menu options was well chosen. Take the tableware for example. Often, restaurant cutlery and crockery are simply functional. At Logis de Parvis, they are a pleasure to see and handle. For us, the pleasure or pain is in the detail, and this is a place to recommend because such care has gone into getting the detail right.

Why try to find fault where none was found. 10/10

Very pleasant first floor room above a busy central square with restaurants. The cathedral opposite was very impressive and one of the largest in France. Choice of nice local restaurants. Breakfast was quite good but limited to one croissant each.

Parking was hit and miss and some distance to carry bags. Free at the weekend. One criticism was the lights and sounds show which although impressive continued until after midnight . This was annoying when we needed a good nights sleep after a days travel. However this only happens for a few days a year.

Arrival at the old town in Laon is somewhat circuitous and parking a little hit or miss though easy enough on week-ends. No surprise about the location - just 100m away from the façade of the cathedral - though the promised balcony proved not to exist. Not the hotel's error, we were led to believe. Reception was via the excellent restaurant and was friendly and efficient whilst the bedroom and bathroom were both fine. A good breakfast was served in the restaurant and numbers at lunch and supper times bore witness to its high local reputation.

Location, location, location! Laon Is definitely a mediaeval gem in central France. We have driven past the town many a time on our way to the UK or Ireland, and we always said: let’s have drop b, and last weekend we did. A magnificent cathedral that leave you e with more questions than it answered and we will definitely come back armed with a detailed book on the subject. The landlord could not have been nicer, our food was excellent and we felt very much at ease. A memorable stay.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. As an aside, the accommodation is above a restaurant and the food was superb. Location is amazing opposite the cathedral despite the obvious bell ringing, which fortunately didn't start until 8:00am. Check out time was also a lazy 11:00am.

Obviously opposite the cathedral you will encounter the bell ringing, but as this started at 8:00am, it wasn't a problem. No need to set an alarm! There is no car parking on site, but we were lucky enough to get a 3 hour morning slot nearby.

Perfect location. Well maintained. Very helpful staff. Good size room with (we had the corner room on the first floor). If you get the right week in August you get to see the Son et Lumiere from your bedroom

We were very happy with the room. Be aware it is in the centre of Laon and so the streets around are busy.

Excellent view of the cathedral. Very spacious room, with coffee maker, table & chairs. Double aspect windows with blinds & curtains. Tasteful, modern & very clean. Great bathroom! Generous breakfast - pastries, baguette, yoghurt, fruit bowl, fruit juice & coffee for 11 euros. Le Patron & staff were very welcoming & friendly.

We booked a room with a balcony but didn't get one. I suspect this is a problem with the room descriptions on booking.com so perhaps the hotel should check the details as they are presented online.
