Hotel Pavillon Imperial

Very clean, bed was very comfortable. Good shower. Excellent breakfast. Great position close to seafront and some amazing restaurants. Free overnight parking opposite hotel but needs to be vacated by 8.30am otherwise need to pay. Fantastic location and value for overnight stay. Staff very helpful. Town itself very interesting.

Standard room booked. Absolutely fine for overnight stay but if booking for a holiday would upgrade as room very small. Hairdryer only available from reception on request.

Loved this hotel - it has such a retro French facade, very friendly and helpful staff. We had a ground floor room to begin with but it felt quite dark as it had tall hedges shielding it from the next door room. We asked to be moved to the first floor, which the lovely staff organised for us, where there was a lovely sunshiney shared balcony, with table and chairs.

Ground floors a little bit dark. Quite expensive, however, everything in this area was expensive, and this was the best value in town!

Room had very comfy bed, plenty of space for unpacking & bathroom had loads of shelf room. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Good breakfast. I had little balcony to sit out on. Handy for station & supermarket. Would definitely stay there again.

Right on main road, so quite noisy during day, but not noticeable at night.

The service we received during our stay was amazing. The owners and reception staff were exceptionally kind. They helped us find a nurse (to get some stitches removed) as we didn't speak French and also found us additional accommodation when our travel plans changed last minute. We found the location great, close to the quieter beaches, train station, and some excellent restaurants.

Wifi strength in the room wasn't the best

This hotel was a hidden gem. The room was large, clean, and colorfully decorated. Outside, there was a table area for breakfast that was uniquely decorated too and had a nice view of the sea. In the back was a patio/deck area with music playing and was perfect for relaxing. Throughout the hotel there was always a wonderful smell of flowers in the air. The staff was very friendly. Our train arrived way past closing time, but Catherine kept the reception desk open to check us in. She was very nice and actually gave us a tour to show where everything was. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Perfect location. 5 min by foot to the beach.

No parking for guests, although the description says that there is a car park. We had to park in the car park in front of the hotel and pay extra. Our standard ground floor room had one window to the courtyard, from which there was no light at all.

Have already left a review but happy to leave another as this place is so lovely. Old school hotel right on the prom and staffed by some lovely people. The 5 euro breakfast isn't huge but it is nice and you can sit in the window or in the garden. They even gave us a jar of the local marmalade at the end of our stay (we were there during the lemon festival). Went for some great walks when there - Monaco easily do-able - and when we came back early one day we had a half bottle of rose in the back garden and it was lovely. Who needs millions? We arrived by train from Nice but a better option is the 100 bus which stops outside and costs 1.50 Euro and takes you along the coast to Monaco or all the way back to Nice. And they tolerated my awful French. And Menton is great - a 'proper' seaside resort.

A kettle in the room would have been handy but when I wanted hot water for a herbal tea the staff on reception gave me a flask

We loved our 2 nights' stay at the Pavillon Imperial, this family run hotel is just behind the promenade within walking distance from the old town and railway station. Our room was simply decorated but with all the essentials and the bed comfortable, we were facing the garden which is decked and shady with banana trees and Mediterranean vegetation. The staff is very friendly and they serve you breakfast of delicious fresh bread and croissant (try them with the marmalade of locally grown lemons) with plenty of coffee, juice and yogurts. It doesn't feel like a two stars and I would recommend to anyone.

The bed was very comfortable with excellent linens, the room and surrounding areas nice and quiet, Wifi worked perfectly, heating and a/c too. Freshly renovated bathroom with wonderful rain shower. Nice private patio with sun loungers, table and chairs, and drying rack. The breakfast was an excellent value, and served with such care and friendliness. The location is great - an easy walk to everything we enjoy seeing in Menton, and also easy to get in and out of town to explore further. Free parking was available right across the street. The staff were all so nice and friendly and helpful - always a pleasure to interact with.

The room was quite small, but had everything we needed.

A delightful hotel in an excellent location - opposite the sea, easy walk to the old town and many restaurants, and bus stops in both directions right near the hotel. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Room and courtyard were lovely, air con was a bonus, and shower was small but spotless, modern with great pressure. Breakfast was excellent - for just €8 it was much better value than eating out. Would happily stay here again.
