The bedroom was very spacious and clean with plenty of storage space. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, clean and free toiletries and towels were provided. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is very good, as the hotel is only a few minutes' walk from the railway station and about 10/15 minutes' walk from the city centre. The breakfast is excellent with a very wide variety of sweet and savoury items to choose from. There is also luggage storage. Please note that this hotel is not suitable for wheelchairs users and people with mobility problems, as there are a couple of steps at the entrance of the hotel and a few steps from the reception area to the lift. Highly recommended.

First - the location. Avenue Foch should be mentioned in the description as a wide avenue with big, old, charismatic trees and with excellent town planning, such that there is ample, easily accessible parking very close to the hotel, which is even free overnight. There is absolutely no need to have private parking at the hotel. The breakfast included is very good and the space for the breakfast is light, with big windows facing the avenue and the trees. Super. I had a room at the top of the marvellous old building - no noise, just the top of the trees, the sky and the clouds.

The only thing missing was actually that there was no refrigerator in the room. However, the staff at the reception was quick to offer that the water and sandwiches could be stored in the central kitchen refrigerator.

The bed was supremely comfortable. I had not expected a bath in the bathroom and was delighted to see it. As it was a very wet night it was great not to have to walk very far from the train station.

We had hoped there would be a restaurant in the hotel and were disappointed we couldn't have a meal there. We left it too late to check out the recommended restaurant and there were no tables available. There was a wonderful aroma wafting out the door. It would appear that we made a dreadful mistake in dawdling. We got a pretty decent meal in the Mercure hotel, where there was an excellent group playing. Maybe a meal in Le Romarin, followed by drinks, music and dance in the Mercure would be good for a night out. Breakfast was fine but it took us a while to figure out where to find things and our poor French didn't help. We hope to return to Metz when the weather improves and hope to stay in Ibis Styles again.

Very stylish Art Nouveau building kept alive by a limited (and tastefully executed) modern refurbishment. Even if the hotel is clearly no longer the upper-class luxury palace that it must have been around 1900, it is still quite wonderful, filling one with a sense of history. Amazing original staircase, makes you want to spurn the elevator. Very good breakfast that included fresh fruit, pancakes, a variety of croissants and more. Friendly and uncomplicated staff. Perfect location, practically next to the train station and a short walk from the city centre.

Sound insulation in a historical hotel is never going to be perfect, so one occasionally hears the neighbours. As the hotel seems to attract a mostly civilised clientele, this is not really a problem though.

A lovely warm welcome on arrival by the person on the desk. We were also given some information on the local area. The room was big, faced a quiet road and was very clean. There was a sufficient variety to choose from at Breakfast and we had the joy of sharing this experience with the Brazil Volleyball Team. The location is great and Metz is a beautiful City to visit. If we revisit I would certainly stay at this hotel again.

Easy parking nearby, helpful front desk staff, generous bedroom size and comfortable beds. Air con kept us comfortable. Near loads of restaurants and town centre. This would be a good pick for travellers who want the proportions of a more classic hotel with a manned front desk.

The hotel is simple and unique. Extremely quiet! Excellent for work. There are meeting rooms as well. Located on excellent position near the train station. Good choice!

- At breakfast there are not many options , it was enough , but if you are planning longer stay it will be everyday same , maybe 3-4 choices including sweets. - At the several places i internet is poor quality.

Top location and my room was really big and comfortable. I had a great sleep ! I enjoyed the heating during winter season.

I am jot sure if my room was ever cleaned for 3 nights stay. I know it is from the Ibis chain but the "Styles" prefix should mean at least some more bath consumables and towels. Breakfast was too basic.

located a bit outside the center, but in easy walking distance (10-15mins), parking is very close in the public garage at the main train station - you get a discount for it with checkout at the hotel, staff was very friendly and let us check-in earlier, breakfast was yummy! rooms are spacious and clean, beds were very comfy - we would definitely stay again here! Exceeded our expectations for an ibis Hotel :)
