Beautifully decorated house, with taste and style, each room had a theme, with comfortable furniture and stunning bathrooms. Beds comfortable and plenty of toiletries towels and amenities. Main house had a lounge and dinning room which we had access to. Extensive garden area with hot tub and relaxing furniture, with sun shades. Our host Nicholas was a joy, we were offered drinks on arrival and we also took the option to have dinner which was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble and a fantastic breakfast was provided the next morning. We felt very welcome and Nicholas had done a fantastic job of creating such a stunning place to stay.

There was a spiral staircase to the bedrooms which may not suit everyone’s personal mobility.

We stayed one night at Maison Des Plumes on the last night of our holiday and picked this guest house because it was close to Calais and the reviews we had seen said that Nicolas was a great host and cook, and they weren’t wrong!! I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere with such a kind and charming host! As soon as we arrived, Nicolas was keen to show us around the guest house and make sure we had everything we needed, arranged some drinks with some delicious homemade snacks, cooked us a fantastic three course meal and arranged a huge breakfast the following day too. The property has been renovated by Nicolas in an art deco style and the attention to detail is fabulous. Nicolas was happy to share his stories of renovating the property, his restaurateur background and tell us about attractions in the local area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and thought it would be a great venue for a private celebration too, which Nicolas said he would be able to accommodate having done a few in the past. It really was a pleasure to stay with such a welcoming host and meet his friend who helped with the dinner service and the other guests that we dined with too. Such a lovely end to our trip.

The manor is located in a small village, a bit isolatedin the countryside. Which is essentially the only drawback I could spot. For the rest, the place is wonderful, very quiet. Nice garden and terrace where you can just relax, have a glass of wine or dine. The owner is charming, takes care of his guests in a perfect way. The jacuzzi allows a relaxing moment after a long day of exploring the region and visiting. Each room has a different decoration on the theme of a bird. We had twice dinner at the manor and it was delicious. And for dessert I got my birthday cake, thank you Nicolas :-)

essentially nothing could be better. You need however a car to tour the region as the place is a bit in the middle of nowhere.

What a fabulous quirky place! We absolutely loved the decor and each room has its own personality. Our group of ladies booked the parakeet, flamingo and ostrich rooms. All had lovely en suite bathrooms. The beds were very comfy indeed. Such a warm welcome from Nicholas, and he was attentive and provided very helpful information. We had an evening meal on our arrival day at the hotel, which was home cooked, delicious and good vfm. The next day we had lunch out and Nicholas provided a cheese and charcuterie board as requested which was delicious and also good vfm. We loved the hot tub which we had exclusive use of at an agreed time for no additional charge. Fabulous breakfast too with a fresh home baked brioche loaf each morning. There's not a bar as such but we had gin and tonics before, wine with dinner and some cognacs and amaretto after dinner, all at a very reasonable price. Nicholas really has thought of everything!

The hotel was a bit more remote than we expected (our fault entirely) but Le Touquet and Boulogne are around an hour away, so we explored during the day. As a result, we would recommend eating at the hotel in the evening unless you want to drive; the food at the hotel is fabulous so why not anyway! However, do prebook to ensure availability.

We had a fantastic stay. A unique experience. Rooms are styled really nicely with attention for details. The owner is the nicest frenchmen we’ve ever met. Acts as a host, concierge and butler. Will arrange everything for you. We travelled with two small children, and a wife all having gluten and cow-milk intolerance which was able to accomodate quite well. We got fresh backed gluten free bread from a local bakery. Diner was ok. Not fantasic, but that is what we usually expect as our dietary needs are complicated. He adjusted the price for the little children.

Normally charging 25 euro’s for a baby cod… while already paying for two rooms. I understand the extra price if 3 people stay in one room but not in this case. He was kind enough to take it off the bill when we indicated it wasn’t used. and the bed we had in the Flamingo room was quite new, and the mattress was rock hard. With back problems, it hurts. Ask for a different room. And the curtains in that room pass too much light. You’ll wake up at 6:00 in the morning. But all of these are just feedback for improvement. They didn’t bother us during our stay.

This is a wonderful place, beautifully (if eclectically) decorated with big rooms, wonderful communal areas including garden and an absolutely fabulous host, Nicolas. There is great attention to detail - we felt relaxed and were made to feel very welcome. We enjoyed pre-dinner drinks on the terrace, in the company of Nicolas' two cute dogs, Antoinette and Gaston, and the dinner was delicious - just what we wanted after a long day's driving from the UK. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed a great night's sleep. Next morning's breakfast was excellent - loads of choice (croissant, fresh bread, homemade brioche, yoghurt and jam, muesli, fruit juice and platter of fresh fruit plus coffee/tea). We both thought it would also make a great destination for a couple of nights with friends or family, for a special gathering. We will definitely return as it is a relatively convenient stop off between the UK and our home in France.

Nothing really. If nit picking, maybe the shower could be a little more powerful, but that really is being picky!

This is such a perfect hotel, run by an incredibly warm and attentive host, we loved it there! We stayed in the ostrich room, where we had enormous windows with garden views, a 4 poster bed and a roll top bath. The hotel is simply beautiful and decorated to the highest standard, with lovely gardens. We loved the dining room with baby grand piano, and we had dinner prepared by the wonderful host and the food was amazing! We can’t wait to visit again, it was perfect!!!! (We also loved the friendly dogs:) )

Situated in an unassuming village, this table d’hote was exceptional and we can’t recommend it highly enough. Our host, Nicolas, was so welcoming and genial and the rooms are something else in terms of decor. If in the area it’s a must. Please give it a go!

Not much! Bathroom lighting could have been brighter in our room, but that’s not-picking

The house is beautiful, immaculately clean and stylish. Our host, Nicholas, was wonderful. He was welcoming, attentive and charming, and cooked us a lovely meal accompanied by good wine, which we ate in the garden. Nothing was too much trouble.

It took us a little longer to find when coming from Calais then we expected but once there, the setting is beautiful

Such an extra special overnight. The host is so warm and cheerful, and absolutely everything is thought out, from where to park, refreshing drinks and snack, dinner, everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We actually wished we had planned 2 nights, just to relax longer in the garden. We will definitely make this part of future trips through this area!
