The bed is very comfy. The layout and size of the bathroom are pretty good. The location is excellent, very close to everything that you want to see. The staff are very helpful and kind. There is no aircon in the room, but we had a fan, and it was enough for us. We arrived at 11 am. We could not check in to the room until 15:00. However we could leave our luggage in the room next to the reception which was very helpful. This hotel is perfect for a long weekend, but if you want to stay longer, maybe you will find the room a bit small. Overall, I'm very pleased with the hotel. The bed and the bathroom were above my expectations.

The breakfast is average, and there are no vegetables . The breakfast room is very small. Not many people can eat at the same time. There are many options to eat breakfast nearby.

We loved the welcome on arrival and the detailed information on Nantes and its attractions. Ideal location so close to the city centre and all the sights we wished to visit were in walking distance. Loved the decor and ambience of the dining room and decor throughout the hotel. Breakfasts were excellent and staff so attentive. It was out first visit to Nantes, my grand daughter anxious to appreciate la vie française and soak up the atmosphere. Of the three locations we stayed in Hotel Voltaire Opera was our favourite

A good place for a short stay in Nantes. The location was convenient to get around the city, and the staff was friendly.

The room felt quite small and cramped. What bothered me a bit more though was that it wasn't sound-proofed, meaning you could hear people walking in the hallway, in the room right above me, and as I was on the first floor above the bar/breakfast area I could hear the ambient music that was playing there until quite late in the evening. Definitely ask for a room on one of the upper floors if you plan to stay.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, receptionist was very helpful and spoke very good English which was a bonus. She helped us book an excursion to save us having to muddle through in French over the phone. Bed was very comfortable, room was very nicely decorated and pleasant to be in. Bathroom was good, everything worked but was a bit dated. Location was excellent, only a couple minutes walk from Place Graslin.

No air conditioning but was supplied with a fan which was adequate during a warm September.

Traditional French décor throughout the hotel, Room was compact with lovely French doors opening onto a tiny balcony overlooking the street which offered fresh air and the sounds of the city. Everything was provided in the room, clean with excellent quality bedding. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would book again if we returned to Nantes, good value too. Perfectly situated for centre of town with bars and restaurants a few yards away, but set on quiet street.

Breakfast good. Guests pick time slot in order not to overcrowd breakfast room. Location of hotel brilliant. Staff helpful and friendly. We were only here for an overnight stay, but we made the most of the great shopping, restaurants and bars . Nantes is a great city. This was a last stop after a beautiful week in France. We were flying out of Nantes airport which is within a 30min drive.

Unfortunately if you have a later time slot you can miss out on some of the selections!! I think it’s important that all selections are replenished until breakfast service is finished! I asked about the bacon but was told there was none left!! There were a number of guests after me so their breakfast choices were diminished!!

The hotel was 5 mins walk away from one of the many squares which was fantastic. It was also on a quiet street during the day and within walking distance of the tram. Hotel room was on the smaller side but it didn't feel cramped at all. Hugo welcomed us to the hotel and was very polite and helpful.

Some noise at night from passerbyers, but that isn't the hotels fault. Also I had ear plugs so that helped. Didn't buy breakfast as £13 is a bit expensive for me.

The cleanliness, the kindness of the staff, the beauty of the building, the location. Very comfortable bed. A wonderful experience.

I think bigger towels would have been helpful. My room was in the attic, which was absolutely fine for me, but it could be less comfortable for someone with reduced mobility or chronic pain. Also the bathroom was ok for me, but the shower / bath tub could have been difficult to access for someone with different needs.

Staff was very helpful and the location of the hotel is excellent!

No air-conditioning in the room

The staff were all fantastic - our flights got delayed and cancelled multiple times and although they weren’t able to refund they offered us a free breakfast as we missed our first night. The breakfast was absolutely sublime, the lobby and general decor was lovely, all the essentials and nothing unnecessary. We’d definitely stay again next time we’re in Nantes!
