Great hotel that is just next to the airport. I was leaving early and got some breakfast even before they were open. The room was very comfortable and totally (like totally) quiet. The area is very busy with a huge amount traffic and at the end of the Promenade des Anglais. A major tram line stops just in front of the hotel, and is direct into the city centre, as well as being the connection for major tourist sites out of the city.

Best location: airport, tram stops, train station, bus station. Very comfortable bed. Window blocks all noise. Helpful receptionists

This breakfast is good for 1-2 days. I spent 7 days and it was not enough selection for me.

The breakfast was passable. The stench of eggs permeated through the dining area making it very nauseous to eat. Except for one person who was helpful and whose name I can't remember the dining staff is not helpful. The same with the reception. Maina at reception was exceptional, the person who checked us in was rude, impatient and not willing to understand our preference for rooms closeby as my father is old. We were given rooms two floors apart and my father could not even access the elevator to come up as his room was on the 4th floor. The intercom to connect room to room calls would not work. We were told it was fixed but still didnt work, had to use Whatsapp calling. On the day of check out and during booking we had requested a late check out as our flight was in the evening. We were shown no flexibility at all and had to wait in the reception area where we didn't see anyone check in given that we were told the hotel is fully booked. Lisa in housekeeping was very helpful. The hotel is very close to the airport and is connected by trams and buses, the rooms are spacious and the mattress / pillows were the right firmness for the first time through our whole trip which was really helpful. The housekeeping kept the rooms clean. Their shampoo was amazing. But staff wise not happy with service / attitude of most of them. We were given a hotel discount to use in the restaurant next door which was great savings.

Staff needs to be more considerate. You need to better air your dining room. The smell of eggs, and the cold cuts was nauseating. The design of the washroom / toilet - The shower door opens right next to the toilet seat making it difficult to use it with someone else around.

The hotel is located nicely and easy to commute to the NICE city centre and airport terminals (free tram). The hotel room and the hotel is really really clean and the cleaners have done a faultless job. if you need a very good night sleep even if you have dust allergies than this is the place for you. if you need to go to nice city centre then just buy the ticket for 10 euros and it will cover 10 trips which is €1 per trip and multiple people can use the same ticket, specially if you are here for few days. Else you can buy single journeys for €1.5. This hotel and the crown hotels are owned by the same people so you can use either facilities and add charges to your room. if I have come back I would stay again. The price is really reasonable specially including the breakfast

There are few things that can be improved 1) Not having a mini Fridge in the room is a little inconvenient 2) Some staff are really good specially the ones on the reception however the breakfast staff some times can be on and off 3) The Breakfast is really basic and specially not having any hot items apart from some scrabbled eggs is not great. My wife is a vegan and there was nothing for her warm. Even the cold vegan options are limited to cerises and fruits. You should be able to add avocados and oat milk. it was limit to soya milk 4) The breakfast kitchen lacks equipment. Specially a bread toaster, bread slicer. Eating cold bread was very inconvenient for me

Rooms are excellent and include a coffee tea facility and iron ironing board, very impressive.. Breakfast was the best I have had after weeks in USA similar hotels, real cutlery napkins no plastic here! Well done a good place indeed to stay.

The only mistake is on the English location advice, Grand Arenas tram stop is no longer in front of the hotel as advised, it is in fact about 200m around a corner under the main train line. This can be confusing at night. You need to walk back to the hotel retracing the tram line towards the airport. Anyone should check google earth to get the correct location.

Excellent location, 1 stop on the tram from Nice Airport, then the hotel has a train station, metro, and bus stop right outside. The bus is 2 stops to the CAP 3000 shopping mall/beach resteraunts, the metro is ideal for getting to the Nice Promenade and City, and the St Augustine Train Station is perfect for trains to Eze, Monaco, Cannes, Antibes etc. Rooms clean and good breakfast also. Crown Plaza next door has a lovely outdoor terrace area.

Breakfast area too small, could open up more space around the bar area, the nearest supermarket for snacks and drinks is 15 min walk away, so the hotel needs to stock more drinks and snacks downstairs.

We had a midnight arrival but were still well welcomed by staff and quickly checked in to our room. Room was clean and fresh, bathroom with good size. Hotel is really close to the airport either with the tram to Grand Arenas which is in front of Hotel (free from terminal to this stop) or walking (max 5 minutes from terminal 1 and in a safe area). Hotel has easy access to city center either Tran in front of Hotel or bus about 5 minutes away. Breakfast has enough hot and cold options for a couple of days. All in all a great stay.

chipped cup in room and one light switch had a false contact but both were not bothering as we don’t use the cups and you only had to play with the switch a few times before it stayed off.

The staff during my first stay were super helpful, very competent, and welcoming. On my second stay, the front desk person wasn't quite as friendly/helpful, but not bad. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable both stays, and the breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend the HI Express Grand Arenas. The restaurant next door was quite good as well and stays open until 10pm.

As I said above, on my second stay, the young woman at the front desk wasn't as welcoming and competent as those during my previous stay, and bacon would be a nice addition to the breakfast. But overall, both were excellents stays.

Proximity to airport and free tram to it. Comfy beds. Relatively new rooms.

The staff is not helpful at all. During breakfast at 10.00 there was lack of plates and cups. At 10.15 the hot sausages were out of stock and have not been replenished till breakfast closure. None of 2 Coffee machines was making cappuccino. One machine was out of service, another one was out of milk. The staff in the restaurant was not eager to respond to the requests.

Like all Holiday Inn Express hotels it was super. The junior staff were all awesome and the room was near new and very comfortable..... But ...

Management - Please make an effort to let people who are arriving by car how to arrive and check in. It took an age to find the small access to the underground car park and walk outside to finally get into the hotel to check in. It is clearly a very new (and super) facility but please make the effort to help people out... I honestly nearly gave up to head to another hotel.
