My room was compact but adequate because I'm a solo traveller. The breakfast area is small but adequate. I liked the simple, uncluttered decor throughout. The reception staff were excellent, giving me helpful advice. The location of the hotel is ideal; not far from Place Massena and the centre of Nice plus just two blocks back from Promenade des Anglais. It was very easy to get around using the inexpensive buses, rapid buses and trams and I did a lot of walking around the city.

My room was next to the lift which was not ideal for me: it was not a particularly noisy lift but there was footfall. Luckily no-one was noisy while I was staying there. It appeared that my room was not vacuumed as dust and hair accumulated during the week. Otherwise, the housekeeping was adequate.

The hotel is located very well: not far from the old town, 10 min away from the tram stop to/from the airport, 2 min to the sea and the Promenade des Anglais. The area is quiet. There is a grocery store nearby. The bed is very comfortable! The hotel stuff were very nice! Its a good option for a short stay!

The room was too small (and I know it is even stated in the room name, but still I was surprised because it looked bigger in pictures). The shower was tiny (you can't actually bend over to pick something from the floor you will have to sit down). There's no fridge (or a mini-bar). The WiFi was very bad.

The staff at L’alcove were warm and very funny! I don’t think I have ever stayed at a hotel with such wonderful people greeting you at check in and check out! I also really liked my room - it was small but very comfortable. I loved my little balcony which let in beautiful light and fresh air. The bathroom looked newly redecorated. And the shower had nice warm water and strong water pressure!

The walls of the room are thin so on occasion I could hear the squeak of the neighbour’s door or hear the neighbour on the phone. This didn’t happen very often but if you’re unfortunate enough to have a noisy neighbour, I’d recommend packing ear plugs in case. This didn’t bother me much so I had a very very pleasant stay!

The hotel looks nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. They provided us water while waiting to do the check in and a shower gel for kids <3 We received a parking badge for 15 EUR/day.

The room is very small. The extra bed could be not that high - it is not safe for a kid and we didn't use it :) We didn't know that we should ask for breakfast - for the next morning. When we wanted to eat (and pay), we were said that there is no food for us because we didn't ask. I think this should be said at the check in :)

Great location in proximity to the main stretch of beach and a few restaurants and supermarkets close as well. It was a flat and easy 15-20 minute walk down the beach to get to the main square and the old town. The room was reasonable size, I think we got a free upgrade because the place was quite empty when we went in off season. We didn’t have the breakfast on the property so can’t comment on that but the room had a kettle which was good so I could make my tea in the room. The wifi was reliable and good as well which as traveller with no data we absolutely rely on. Also the reception staff were very nice. They always greeted us when we came and went and they spoke English well which made the checkin and checkout easy.

The shower was quite small and we weren’t given shampoo or conditioner, only soap. When our room got serviced during the day when we were out the bathroom wasn’t re-stocked with toilet paper and we had less than half a roll left so after getting into our room we had to go ask for some more which was a bit annoying when it should have been restocked but also very minor things, overall the stay was great.

Just a few streets back from Promenade Des Anglais and a short walk away from the Old Town. The tram station is very close by handy for local travel or the airport. The hotel is on a quiet street and we felt very safe in this area. Staff are very friendly and breakfast was always lovely with a good choice of food. We had a double superior room which was a good size. The room also had a coffee machine, hairdryer and toiletries. We were also supplied with bathrobes and slippers which came in very handy. The hotel was always clean and tidy and we would stay here again if we are ever in the area.

The hotel is located near city centre, few minutes walk from the sea. The room was nice and clean,the bed quite comfy. Air conditioner was working perfectly. For breakfast they offer few warm foods , products for sandwiches, croissants and some other foods, overall the breakfast was good. The staff was nice and polite.

The room was very small, especially the shower cabin. There was mold in shower room, mostly in the corners. Also, part of glass shelf was broken, the picture frame glass also cracked. One day only towels were changed, no other tidying were done, there wasn't enough of hand soap and shampoo.

This is a nice hotel, just 4 minutes walk away from the beach and 15 minutes walk from the old town. The staff is very friendly and helpful and guests can even borrow beach towels for free. The room is nice and cosy and it is really a good choice for those who like to be close to the city center and spend their time at the see or in the city.

The location of the hotel is spot on! 20 minute walk to the old town and less than 5 minutes to the beach. The staff were brilliant and recommended a half day tour of Monaco which was the highlight of our trip! The rooms are compact but you definitely don’t come to Nice to just stay in your hotel Also the air conditioning is soooo powerful and is definitely needed in warmer months! Overall would really recommend as a base!

The only two issues, and the first one cannot be helped is they are doing construction on the street and the builders start early The second is the shower is very compact but manageable

Great location for the beach and promenade, also very safe and very modern. Had all the key amenities. The breakfast included in the price was basic, but perfect for a bite to eat and a coffee for before you set out for the day.

Sound proofing wasn't great, externally it was fine, you couldn't hear the road or cars. But where the doorkeys are keys and not swipe cards, you would get woken up anytime one of your neighboring rooms would come home and and the noise would come directly in your room.
