Fantastic central location in this beautiful and historic city centre. Although the hotel parking was full, which they warned us of in advance, they operate an excellent system whereby you can unload in the little square outside the hotel, then they direct you to one of the many public car parks within a very short distance. Lovely room with access to a balcony at the front of the hotel. Great shower and lovely Occitane products. Lovely, smiley reception staff.

We may have been tardy in getting down to breakfast - just after 9am for a service that stops at 10am. I had to request cutlery as there was none on the table and was informed there was sugar on our table, which there wasn’t. The plastic handle of the toaster came away in my hand - it was a small domestic model almost hidden by the coffee machine, and unsuitable for heavy use. The girl attending muttered something about ‘they’d tried to mend it’. Chuck it out and replace it with something more suitable before someone gets hurt! Wasps were climbing over the open jam pots, which I flipped shut. Not a great choice of buffet and the breakfast service appears to suffer from a lack of attentive staff.

Very nice room indeed. We were a little worried that it was on the ground floor looking out on to a public passage but it was quiet and shaded from the sun, and the air on was a huge bonus on the hottest night of the year to date. We appreciated the small swimming pool to cool off after a visit to the Roman theatre which is very close. The staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming- they are a fantastic team. Nice breakfast buffet, and well placed for local restaurants. Parking was essential and a member of staff kindly escorted us to the garage as it’s at a short distance.

The outside door to our room is alarmed and it kept going off, perhaps because of something we did to trigger it but we couldn’t see what we were doing wrong. Perhaps some clearer explanation could have avoided this.

We received a very warm welcome from the receptionist on arrival who was able to clearly explain the directions for the parking. The room was spacious and comfortable and in a delightful position overlooking the pool. A very comfortable bed made for an excellent night’s sleep. Breakfast in the morning was very good and it was lovely to be able to sit outside and enjoy the views. Thank you also for the opportunity to leave our car after departure so that we could explore Orange a little more before leaving. Would highly recommend this hotel and we will certainly be returning.

Excellent WiFi in the room, as expected. I mention this as a two night stay in another hotel was cut short because of no WiFi in room. The location was very central and the room very clean and spacious. It had a small balcony over looking the front court yard. Very nice. Parking was available but only a few spaces and they were taken. Free parking was available a short distance from the hotel, which we used. This hotel had a good sized Spa area but we did not use it. Breakfast was ok , very nice room and when better weather opened out to the front court yard.

Hot food , the scrambled eggs did not look edible but there were lots of other things to eat at breakfast. Staff , one person at reception was very frosty and spoilt the impression of what is a very nice hotel.

Fantastic bed! Super comfortable, large, and firmer pillows than anywhere else I stayed in France! Very large rooms with spacious bathrooms and loved the l'occitane products. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Early check-in was great as it was 41° and the aircon and pool saved the day. Wish I could have stayed 2 nights

Limited on dining options as I'm vegan and gluten free but there's a Carrefour a short walk away with a few organic snack options (and cheap, nice wine of course)

A lovely secluded square in the old town. Great evening atmosphere having dinner under the beautifully lit trees in the square. Comfortable, generous room and en-suite, if a little off the beaten track!

A little disappointed that parking was an extra cost, especially as there would have been nowhere else to park. Although our room was very nice, being of an age!, the access was up a winding spiral staircase - not that easy with luggage. However all in all a very pleasant stay.

The location is great, the center of the town, restaurants nearby and the Roman remains a short walk away. The hotel has its own small parking ( for extra costs), so it's very comfortable, and the breakfast buffet is quite good. The restaurant was closed on Sunday. Dtaff polite and helpfull. City small and beautiful.

The decor is a bit old fashion and not as bright as you may learn from the photos. A few stairs when you enter the room and one to step towards the toilets. That's a bit strange. Overwhole a good experience.

A stunning hotel in the heart of Orange. In fact believe it is probably the best hotel in Orange. Beautiful decor and is exceptionally clean. The whole hotel is pristine with not a thing out of place and nothing looks tired. We stayed for two nights in Room 301 which was a junior suite and is the one with the staircase in it on the photos. I suspect this is the nicest room in the hotel so you may wish to request it. We also viewed 302 and 202 which were both nice. The room has a large dressing area when you enter, meaning that all bags and luggage can be kept away from the bedroom. This area also has a large mirror, mini bar, tea/coffee facilities, safe and an iron/ironing board. The nice thing about this is that the bedroom stays uncluttering and relaxing. The stairs lead to a gigantic bathroom with a 2 person hot tub, twin sinks and a very large shower. The bathroom has completely separate aircon which we thought was good attention to detail. The bedroom also has two comfy lounge chairs and a side table etc. The space is very large. Breakfast superb, and the outdoor seating area is in a lovely square Parking is very secure in an off site barn just a 2 min walk away (but you can park directly outside the hotel to load/unload) Overall comfort and cleanliness is of an extremely high standard Decor all beautiful throughout, even the stairwells - It is very cohesive and the colours are relaxing yet unusual Staff all very friendly and helpful - Special mention goes out to the night staff lady (v short hair and glasses) who went the extra mile to accommodate us Pool/Spa/Gym all looked great although we didn't have time to try them In a world of frankly average "bare minimum" hotels, Grand Hotel D'Orange is a break from the norm. It is how I believe all hotels should be (and probably were of yesteryear) and I woudn't hesitate to recommend it. Side note - Orange is a fabulous place to visit!

Room was with terrace facing to courtyard. Very pleasant. Very nice bath room with tiles. They had even little pool and sauna, jacuzzi - we should have brought bathing suits!!!

The parking cost 17 EUR but located strange place - you need to ask a staff to take there, otherwise lost. (But staffs are very helpful so just ask!!)

the hotel is in the centre of the town with plenty of choices for dining out. the rooms are very nice with everything you need. the swimming pool was a nice surprise! breakfast was plentiful with lots to choose from.

parking was a bit of a pain but worth it to secure the car. the streets are very narrow to get to the parking.
