We booked this hotel as it had a safe space for our bikes. The staff tried to phone us the morning we were to arrive to tell us there was an issue. T he person who was to open the room for the bikes would not be able to be there until 7.30am. Unfortunately we did not hear the call. Our ferry was leaving at 8.30am and there might not be time to get to the ferry in time However when we arrived at the hotel the staff member was so helpful in finding an alternative safe place for the bikes. Nice clean room.

200m from ferry port. Perfect for an overnight stay, Staff helpful with storing bikes inside, even in our room. Room clean and quiet with separate toilet and separate shower room. Bed comfy, Restaurant in hotel not used. L'Auberge next door highly recommended. Church bells in town at 7am start your day. Notably little seagull noise. Would stay again.

Hot water when we arrived at 5pm was warm, not hot, but in the morning it was hot. Per French practice, there was no kettle for making drinks in room.

Located within close walking distance from ferry port. Room had good view & overlooked the church. Staff were friendly. The big attraction to this hotel for us was the restaurant serving exceptionally good food at a very good price!! We both had set menu for 29 Euros each, we ordered seafood platter, steak, duck & trio of puddings with coffee for dinner & moules frites for lunch.

It's a good value hotel which we found to be perfectly comfortable. Convenient for the port we wanted something simple and affordable for the night which the hotel was. The beds were good and the room large enough for our needs, although the rooms were a little dated it was all clean.

Pre-stay communications were poor. Asking politely about late arrival (in French) I asked if it was ok to arrive late and if they had a secure room for bikes. All I got was "oui" in response. Other reviewers had mentioned that they needed a code to arrive late and I wanted to know before the day as we were coming by ferry and sometimes my phone doesn't work for a while when roaming. However, their policy seems to be to call you with the code if you arrive after 9pm. We found not knowing this quite stressful, arriving late with two young ones. I hope knowing this is helpful to others.

This hotel has very good location: next to bus station, next to big parking and 8 minutes walking from ferry ⛴️. Also there's a fish market with the fresh seafood. And of course the beach of Riva Bella. For those who are interested in D-Day there's a Memorial and Museum also not far away. Room was like on the picture. Friendly staff.

From my side it was missing a little fridge where I could keep my water and oyster 🦪.

The staff is amazing, helpful, kind and happy to assist, the hotel is perfect for a short trip by ferry from Portsmouth as it is within walking distance from the port, commute to Caen is easy and the bus stop is just opposite, nice breakfast, the bedroom was confy and clean, obviously is not a 5 star hotel but if you are not fussy/posh you will be happy.

Right by the ferry. Super helpful staff. Easy to store our bikes in a large locked room. They found us a table outside to eat even though they were very busy. Nothing too much trouble. Food was great and the beer was cold. Room was comfortable, small twin beds but what we expected.

A fan in the bedroom would have been welcome as it was very hot.

Excellent location for early ferry departure. Very clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed with basic but good restaurants next door. Car park opposite the hotel, very well lit and felt secure. good blackout curtains.

Reception area was shabby and slightly smelly - not representative of the rooms. When we arrived there was noone manning reception, just one man working on a computer in the neighbouring restaurant. As he didn't acknowledge us we assumed he was a client, eventually, as we were about to phone the contact number that we had been given, he approached and was very helpful: a 'un moment' would have been helpful.

2 minutes from ferry port I had one special request due to our personal circumstances and the hotel manager did everything to help, which was extremely reassuring. We are very grateful for this We also ate at the restaurant , quick service and very good food

I had a very comfortable and quiet room. The restaurant is excellent - a good menu, very well cooked food and the wait staff were efficient and cheerful. The breakfast was good and cheerfully served. I will definitely stay here again.
